    Love seeing the hometown represented. Fun fact, Covington is home to the world's largest Ronald Reagan statue (despite the former president never having been to the city).

    Covington at one time had the only court house with a bar inside called Toujaq (excuse the spelling but it was pronounced toojack)

    IN THE 1990's I travel around Louisiana, DAY and NIGHT for a Flatbed company. I KNOW all these stops.

    LOL, people coming up here to escape the heat back in the day is pure comedy! Most of the time in Summer it is noticeably hotter than in NOLA (colder in Winter tho).

      Not back in the 1800s-1900s. New Orleans was covered in concrete while the north shore still had dirt roads. All the city clutter results in higher temps.
