Beans on toast for breakfast? Beans on toast anytime!
UK eggs are not washed as are USA eggs, therefore they don't need to be refrigerated
Squash is a concentrate, dilute with water.
Quorn 'meat' is made from fungus; the 'chicken' chunks are good
Go to Cornwall for a real pastie

I am Japanese, been living in L.A.for 33 years now & I was shocked to see huge mega supermarkets here when I came here as a tourist back then ! But, supermarkets over there in U.K.are so~huge that I can get lost there !!! LOLLOLL 🤣😅😂😆 I'm looking forward to shop there ,though !!! Lol.I love visiting parks & supermarkets & pubs in different countries as it's the best way to know the people's tastes & vibes !! The feels !! And mingling with the locals !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💞

It seems like an odd combination to this American at least because it seems really dry. Though, if toast is buttered that should help. It still seems like too much carbohydrate together.
That can even be true for Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches which are an American favorite. The Jelly is what saves the sandwich. Anyway, to use a Brit word Cheers!!!!

@@derekhughes4028 Does baked beans mean it is cooked with molasses? In the U.S. Boston baked beans are just white beans cooked with molasses. Still, Americans never really put it on toast. They might eat the beans with some toasted sandwich bread, but they are just as likely to eat it with a dinner role. That's especially true if the beans are served with Barbecue. Then again, many people just eat Boston baked beans without anything else, especially if they're vegetarian.✌👍🇺🇸🇬🇧

Nothing blasphemous about adding syrup to crumpets, I put on jam or honey, it's all sugar topping innit!
Only rule is: Don't under-toadt the crumpet, it should be very well toasted with oodles of butter and sweet topping, mmmmmmm!
    Shout out to Canada!
I saw a US Vlogger once have crumpets in London, he didn't like the crumpets as he just picked them up without toasting and ate. He must think we're crazy here in the UK, because whilst they are still cooked in that condition, nobody who eats crumpets would dream of eating them straight from the packet, vom, I had to beg him to understand the toaster liberates the food-induced orgasm!!
Who would not like a crumpet aside from the gluten-free peeps?
As to Ginsters pasties, shame on you, they are so poor and processed. Never speak of them to anyone in Cornwall, they will seek your hanging :)

@@dinastanford7779in the U.S. the English Muffins are ehat Brits call Crumpets. They have nooks and crannies and are soft and spongy inside. They're basically what are used for McDonald's Egg McMuffins.
They can be good but I prefer regular American biscuits. However, I've never tried crumpets with Maple. Maple makes allot of things taste really good. Though it's best eaten in really cold weather where it's native like in Canada and the Northeastern U.S. Cheers!!!

Ebjoyed the video!!! We' ve had what are called English Muffins here in US since at least the 80's. They are the same as Crumpets with all the nooks and crannies. Toasted they are good but I always prefered toast, pancakes, waffles, or American style buscuits (not cookies). Never had them with Maple though. Sounds really Gooood. Maple makes almost anything taste great. It can be added as a sugar substitute for almost any recipe. It is a whole food sugar with much of the vitamins and minerals in the tree sap. Especially high in Vitamin K.
It tastes really good in Beer, especially with some fresh winter snow in the glass. Also great with wine just mixed in or heated. Though, Maple tasted much better when I lived in the Northeastern US where Maple trees grew and were tapped for their sap which got boiled down to syrup. Maple is best in really COLD weather. It's not quite the same in San Diego, California.
By the way, to all the Canadians out there be sure to keepvwatching your Red/Green Show and Keep your Stick on the Ice!!!

In US squash is any one of several varities of edible gourds. They are a Winter root vegetable that was first grown by the Native American tribes along with Indian Corn and beans. They are traditional at Thanksgiving. In Canada it maybe different because their Thanksgiving is in early October before the new squashes are in season.

Squash is just concentrated juice (similar to a cordial). You use it similar to something like kool aid in the US, except it's liquid not powder.
Also, supermarket pasties are vile! I always give Ginsters a wide berth. You need to go down to the West Country and try a proper one. Ideally from a local bakery, but some of the chain bakeries like Oggy Oggy or Warrens are good too (not Greggs).

    • @susie2251
      @susie2251 2 года назад +1

They are in a plastic tray with 3 or 4 rows and the whole tray is inside a foil lined plastic bag that you open by pulling a tab on top of the package. The tab reseals the package after you take out the cookies. The whole design keeps the cookies fresh and also stops them from breaking. But they are much bigger packages of cookies than are sold in Europe. Too much for a single person which is a big problem for me with shopping in America: things are not sized right and I waste a lot of food.
