Plasma Smash great stuff. Really showed how bowser has progress through smash 4 and paid homage to players that have helped him progress with of course, nairo the biggest name of them all finally picking him up. As a bowser player I hope nairo continues to play him and others pick him up as well

So basically in the new patch Sakurai gave Bowser Marth's grab from Melee

Yes, the top players do put up a show sometimes.
But not nececarily because they want to feel important, but because they want to feed the hype.
People who take something like that sereously are also the ones who accuse reality show actors.

People assuming ZeRo still has that kind of opinion about Bowser, being wrong, but still getting upvotes anyway because people love hating on ZeRo, incoming....*takes deep breath* Just a brief reminder that ZeRo DID play Bowser before he was good. He wouldn't have taken the time to be so critical of pre-patch Bowser if he didn't care about the character.

Ganondorf gets around 40 buffs and isn't considered viable.
Bowser gets 1 buff and is considered viable.
Totally good balancing guys.
The thing with Ganon is that he was buffed by improving his already-ferocious punish game, which didn't really need any buffs. This game is praised for its competitive balance but they admittedly buffed him in the wrong way this time.
Ganon would need considerable frame data buffs (removing 3-6 frames of startup and/or endlag from all aerials barring bair and dair), a faster dash for a longer PP, and 3 extra frames on his shorthop so he can do the Thunderstorm combo again.
3 extra frames of short hop means he would have the longest jumpsquat in the game at 10 frames. Now I understand you meant to say "3 less frames" on shorthop, but he needs 2 less.
No he means 3 extra frames of air time on short hop. Aside from that, what Ganondorf needs is a fast down tilt.
His Dtilt IS fast.
Thing about Bowser was he WAS good. He just wasn't GOOD. He's fast, has really good grab range and absurdly strong KO potential. he just didn't have any confirms. They gave him one simple buff...a confirm.
Ganon got loads of tweaks but him as a character is fundamentally bad. His whole "I'm C. Falcon but slow and bad" shtick has GOT to be axed next installment. He needs his own unique move set.
Ganondorf's Down Tilt is not fast. It's frame 10. That's decent, but it's not _fast_. Ganondorf's fastest attack in his entire set is early hit UAir at frame 6, but that's not fast in neutral since it requires him to jump first and he randomly has a massive 7 frames of jumpsquat.
Ganondorf's current kit could be good. Wizard's Foot could have as little endlag as it did in Melee. Or Wizard's Dropkick could be the default Down Special. Dark Dive could do as much damage and KO as early as Dark Fists does. Up Tilt could be replaced with an actually useful anti-air. He could be given actual combo potential or a DThrow > UAir kill confirm plus a less shit grab range. He could be given 3 frames more air time on a short hop and thunderstorm people like he did in Brawl. He could have a jab that doesn't hit so absurdly high off the ground and comes out frame 4. He could be given 1 or 2 less frames of jumpsquat.
I thought it was funny. I would like to know what range of characters you are willing to go with for this mini series.

DK, Mewtwo, Marth, Duck Hunt, and MM immediately come to mind if we're talking formerly-weaker characters that ended up making waves in the competitive scene.
But if you're aiming more for a little analysis of how a character evolved over the years as the meta changed, any character can work here.
Ah Bowser. You are a fun character to play, but people said you sucked in melee. Happened in brawl too. But now, now, you are back, back with a vengeance, and I love it!

Moveset for Bowser in the next smash game. Jab: Comes out on frame 3 and 7 for the first and second hit. This does 16% in total because thhe first hit does 10% and the second hit does 6%. It kills as early as 76% at center stage with optimal DI. The first hit creates powerful jab cancels and 5 hit combos as well as infinites. Tilts and Dash Attack: Up Tilt comes out on frame 5 and does 12%. It can combo and kill at 81%. It has amazing range, unlike Jab. Forward Tilt comes out on frame 7 and lasts for 6 frames. It has more range than Marth's grab range in Melee, and it kills at 66% at the ledge with the sweetspot and 105% at the ledge with the sourspot. All of his tilts and jab have amazing combo potential and are amazing at spacing. Down Tilt is his best ground move that isn't a throw. It does 36% when both hits connect. The second hit has 180 knockback growth, which means it kills at 58% at center stage, and the hits come out on frames 1 and 4. It also has little ending lag, like most of his other moves. Dash Attack does 9% and kills at 120% center stage. It has little range, like Down Tilt, and has terrible end lag. Smash Attacks: All of them kill at 50% uncharged and have 5 frames of end lag after coming out on frame 14. They have amazing range, and they all kill at 32% charged. Aerials: Neutral Air is an amazing combo tool. It has extravagant range, does 27%, and comes out on frame 9. It can kill at 135%, and has 7 frames of landing lag at its fastest. Forward Air is useful for aerial combos and killing. It comes out on frame 6, kills at 86%, and has little ending lag and gigantic range. Bowser's also heavy, the fourth fastest, and the ninth fastest falling character with super low gravity. Back Air and Up Air lead out of Up Throw and kill at 62%. They also have little end lag, and have amazing range, but come out on frame 11. Down Air is mainly used for killing at super low percent. It comes out on frame 20, and has 35 frames of end lag and landing lag. It also bounces if it hits. Throws: Pummels do 4% and help set up for kills. Forward and Back Throw do 6% and are mainly used for spacing. They kill at 150 and 175%, respectively. Down Throw is used to kill at low percent at the ledge. Also, Bowser's grab range is longer than Samus' extended grapple. Up Throw is only useful for comboing and spacing. Specials: Neutral Special is mainly used for spacing, has insane range, and can be Flame Canceled. It does 23%, and comes out on frame 10. Side Special is used for suicide kills because your opponent dies first. Up Special comes out on frame 5, is his only amazing out of shield option, due to his shield being the smallest in the game, does 19% damage, and travels as far as Melee Fox's Up B in PAL. It also kills at 119%. Finally, we have Down Special. This comes out on frame 8, does 39%, and kills at 45% on the ground. It has 120 frames of landing lag. Overall, Bowser is a fast powerhouse with amazing techniques that benefit him with a terrible out of shield game and pretty good to amazing in everything else.

Everytime bowser grabs you from half the stage in game he mental grabs your brain and punches it. To put it shortly fighting bowser mentally damages you.

At the top level imo, Bowser is the worst character in terms of how he was made. You know how the hoo hah nerf made diddys "think more about their character's options"? I feel like the Bowser buff d the polar opposite of that. I won't hate any bowser players, of course, i just am sad to see a character's meta turn into a super basic grab fest. Same goes to donkey kong, but not to nearly the same extent.
