The reason why you couldnt get the 5th light to light up is because you have to be using a at least 35 watt charger.
Such a pity that you get yours last....been waiting for this for a long time! You r the best. Thx!

Been waiting on this review for a long time. Had mine for quite a while now and have posted several flight videos on my channel. I am looking forward to seeing your flight distances compared to mine which max out about 12000 feet. Thanks for doing this review!
for noobies watching this - yes you need a 30w or higher usb charger to get the transmitter to full charge. also if you charge the battery in the drone via the usb then you also need 30w or higher to charge to full charge - otherwise the leds sit at 3 and never reach full.
second - whenever doing a firmware update or the first unboxing, a small portable fan blowing on the drone is a very good idea to stop it overheating as you see - you definitely don't want it overheating during a firmware update so if you don't have a fan, even blow in the air vents sometimes helps... but performing a firmware update without fan, just make sure the drone is fully charged and has been off for some time so it's cool when you start.
My new Mini 3 Pro drone overheated and shut off during the initial firmware update. Good news is that after replacing the warm battery with another one, I powered it up and it finished the firmware update without a problem!
Finally, I've been waiting for this video for a long time which felt like years. they aren't joking with the shipping issue with this drone

Hey 👋 Dustin , Hope you’re having a great day.. ?: so what happens with the 249 weight requirement when you switch to the heavier intelligent batteries while you’re out flying? Unless I’m wrong, I’m assuming you’ll need to register the Mini 3 after all so you’re legally covered ?

Good video, subscribed, I just bought the same drone and fly more plus that you did and I'm waiting for it to show up, so this video is just perfect, I guess I'll be doing the same thing in about 3 days... I went and purchased a small mini briefcase kind of carry bag for $40 as the Drone doesn't come with anything ,but the one that comes with the fly now looks like a better one and I will probably use it.

If you hold the button on the side of charger down it allows you to switch to charge the controller 1st then the batteries and vice versa

IF you plug the remote into the charger and press the button, it will charge the remote first, then continue on to the batteries. You also missed the SD card in the remote itself and the output slot (host) to connect the remote to your tablet/pc. (Grey door on the bottom of the controller.

I have this same fly more combination in CE (UK) so only use the basic batteries. So many firmware and performance improvements since the initial release - I’m loving mine now its so quiet. Looking forward to your flight tests as I’ve not tried all the features yet 👍
A little fan on it as you play around on the bench results in zero heat issues. It stays cool with just a little bit of assisted air flow. It NEVER gets too hot whilst flying. Even when it was 40°C here in the UK. It's no Hawaii, though. Ha!

Didn't get a notification on this one .. weird. I watched your Avata video 1st, where you were in the "Southwest" part of the country, but this one is from HI. You'll have to find a good range test spot in your new stateside digs. I didn't get the new RC with the screen .. just use my Samsung Note 9 .. works perfect. After gong thru all that laborious setup, I actually did launch mine indoors ... it is SO quiet & stable. I don't think it move 0.5 cm in any direction after it took off. You could probably use it to shoot indoor video. So quiet & small that, once you go outside, you kind of lose track of it once its > 100 feet away. Glad to see you back, making videos again. Cheers.
