@sHaterred-vh7cs i have been accused for no reason it isnt like that you just cant focus on the games anymore losing the flow hard to explain to someone who hasnt gotten such a compliment tho
i stopped playing chess but i followed the top content creators for years including you, gotham, anna, hikaru, etc. i lost the interest i used to have in following the competitive chess scene but i still watch one chess youtuber’s recaps and its you. the vibes are just so chill here and i cant help but feel satisfied after watching your recap no matter how good or bad you do. just wanted to share that :)
Woo hoo, I got that drawing move in your last game! Sorry you missed it - oooof. 1.5 out of 5 close games against GMs is terrific! Good luck tomorrow! Thanks for the recap.
I followed the FIDE commentary on RUclips all day yesterday. First time I've ever followed a chess tournament in real time. Would not have known about it if not for this channel. Fight on!
More than respectable start! On the one hand, there’s no real pressure on you in this event, but on the other it’s emotionally tough to lose lots of games (the expected outcome in such a strong tournament). Stay positive!
good for you eric!!!! long time watcher, although ive been absent lately, WoW is a time consuming game lol. but so proud of you man!!! gratz on making it to the tourney, and fucking HELLA GRATZ getting called into fair play meeting for stomping some gm shit in:) you are an inspiration not only as a chess player, but a professional, and a person. very happy for you:) keep up the good work!!! told my wife at some point i'd love to come watch and support your games in person. thank you very much for all of the content over the years, and for being a real person, who isnt a shithead!!! real role model
I'm a long time fan , you have taught me so much about chess , many times when I play I hear your voice in the back of my mind , I'M so proud of days like this for you and your achievements Eric , it's not just that you put out a lot of amazing content , but is also about your " humble" personality and great character 🙏🙏 Keep going Rosen , you got this 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great job. You seem like a really nice guy. I hope you continue winning. Thanks for the explanations of the games for beginners like me. I used to race bikes. If you win, you get tested. Just part of how it works. Nothing to worry about when you’re clean.
Impressive games Eric. The best way to get better is to play better players. Better to he the worst in the room than the best. Otherwise, you are in the wrong room. Great job! 😊
I could never imagine the level of mental pressure is involved in playing in such a competition. I feel you may have beat yourself in one or two games. We know how good of a player you are. Stay calm and have fun Eric. Tomorrow is a new day. Good luck!!!
hi Eric, i have been following you on this channel for a long time and I am happy to see u in this tournament , just don't think about your opponent or how strong he is , i am sure u can win every game
I did find the king move, mostly because you challenged anyone to find it, so it couldn't have been take pawn. It makes sense to stop the pawn progression.
I didn't realise how invested in your games I was until in game 3 against Minh Le I found myself saying to the TV Kg3 KG3!!!!!😂 GOOD LUCK!! (I look forward to some crazypants gambit in the later rounds😉😊)
You're one of the gems of the Chess World, Really appreciate your uploads man, Cheers! Gotta say I did see the move g5, but I do see most of the best moves just can't make them in my own games.
I do get a kick out of the fact that Rosen likes to play the Stafford Gambit while freely stating that it is less "reputable" than other openings. I do hear him getting name-checked on other channels when they discuss the opening. I get it, though. I have used the Colle-Zukertort System in many games with a good deal of success, although I often found myself needing to transpose to the Queen's Indian or the Slave. I have seen multiple top players dismiss this opening, however, as they do the London System. Systems just don't seem to be popular at the top levels.
I wonder if anyone has ever actually been detected using a device that doesn't require leaving the board, such as the common phone in the lavatory. Obviously, signalling is possible as tried in "I want to be a millionaire", but hard to avoid detection.
7:54 "I let the opponent check mate me to give me him the satisfaction". Yeah same here, I do that all the time, never on purpose though.
This Beginner to Master speedrun is reaching new heights
Love this comment! 🏆
14:28 "and they gave me coffee, too. So that was nice" lol. Gotta love Eric. What a kind soul
Gets called in for a fair play check. *Eric smiles - title idea*
Eric sneaks in and gets GM before Levy would be Content!
He is seriously stronger than levy, Ben says Eric can be GM but will be tough, for levy is all good xD.
@abelchess8430 I've always been more impressed with Erics play
Levy is annoying as hell, Eric is actually personable and clearly better at chess.
@@abelchess8430 Maybe, it is a choice between streaming and studying.
@@abelchess8430Eric isn't near gm strength
Go Rosen! But stay there.
And stay there
Rosen got fair play checked, confusing the audience.
@prokop6677 frankly, terrible!
Why the hate?
@@chuy27arts the answer is fries
imagine playing so well the fair play police comes after you, really awesome
@@zaftnotameni yeah and after he lost all games ? Because he was scared to use again 😂

The fact that Eric is getting all these great players into time trouble says a lot. Go Eric, we're all rooting for you!

Would not have known about it if not for this channel.
Fight on!
Very true. Both live channels on YT seem to just follow the leaders, like Carlsen, and nobody else.
An anonymous source reported that you drank more Red Bulls than is permitted for speed chess tourneys
Congrats! I appreciate your humility and passion. Best of luck with the rest of the tournament.
considering your seeding, 1.5 out of 5 with a few endgames mere moves away from conversion should be something to be proud of! keep going eric!
That's such an amazing compliment
I got your autograph yesterday Eric!! Best of luck to you!
How much ?

At least the fair police and I can agree that Eric's games are very interesting.
Eric we can see how proud you were of your Round 2 win! Congratulations, we are rooting for you!!
Fun review - ty for your commentary, nice win. That blitzed out Q move in the 1st game I am sure will start to be a winning tactic.
Nice honor to play 5 gms: Some really pretty games too. Congrats! and Happy New Year.
you keep getting very respectable and promising positions against GMs... sure there's lots to improve but you should be super proud
Good luck Eric! You're gonna do great!
You are capable of being Gm Eric we believe in you !

Was he SHIVERING or was he VIBRATING?! -The chess cops, probably

Damn. I live just a few blocks from this event but didn’t know it was occurring until it was sold out! So bummed.
Ah damn, I would've been devastated, ha. Sorry for the miss
Well done Eric, good luck for the rest of your games!
Most honest and BEST chess channel on youtube!
Great chess, great stream yesterday. Today the ball bounces your way ... Let's go!
That last game is a perfect puzzle for learning the importance of opposition! Fantastic stuff today Eric 👏 cheering you on!
Well done Eric. Thanks for sharing.
I saw your first game live , I hope things improved thereafter
Yay otb recaps are my favorite videos!
I totally agree, those are the best.
Same here. We're eating good today boys
Top class interview
hi Eric, i have been following you on this channel for a long time and I am happy to see u in this tournament , just don't think about your opponent or how strong he is , i am sure u can win every game
Good luck Eric! I hope you win!
Eric is so Nice that if he cheated he would just tell you before the game started.
Fair-play checking Rosen on a London or Stafford is like fair-play checking MVL on a good Najdorf Sicilian! Frankly hilarious.
I did find the king move, mostly because you challenged anyone to find it, so it couldn't have been take pawn. It makes sense to stop the pawn progression.

I would advise against a crazy pants gambit. It didn't work out well for Magnus, and I don't think it would work for Eric either.
Happy holidays Eric!
Can't believe they gave Eric the Vibe Check
Grats on getting fair play checked
Congratulations on your win❤️🔥
Go rosen! Norm Granted! You can do it! Man, becoming a GM looks super difficult!
Well played Eric 🎉
That's certainly an admittance that someone was blown out of the water, haha.
This shows you deserve to be there. Go Rosen
Love your content and most importantly, how humble you are in life and chess.
((SECURITY)) We have jeans in the playing hall....😂
To be suspected of cheating is the highest praise for someone playing legitimately
You're one of the gems of the Chess World, Really appreciate your uploads man, Cheers! Gotta say I did see the move g5, but I do see most of the best moves just can't make them in my own games.
Am watching this after Magnus vs Fide fiasco... FIDE needs to get its shit together going after each and every player
If Eric is ever busted for Fair Play, I'm done with chess for good.
We want Rosen to collect the norms before Levy, top tier content.
That four knights game was scary

Can’t wait to watch this!!
good luck bro.
he's a chill dude, i like him.
keep it up, Eric.
Rest of the chess world right now: on fire
Eric: i got to hang, it was cool
You call that a sports interview Eric?
You didn’t even mention all things being possible through god, giving 110% or leaving it all out on the field 🤔
Bro is playing so good he got kramniked😭
first win is with the London..........the universe is in harmony
W rosen , wish you get more dubbs
The tickets are a 1000$. Just FYI
Rosen had mate in 20 and couldn’t find rook block after queen check 😥 was rooting for that GM win
FIDE thought u had beads. Kramnik put in the anonymous tip.
Chess speaks for itself
Wow, beat few more GMs
All the very best
wim jess february was low key hilarious!
and lots of grrat chances against strong players!
What was the app you used to recap the game?
Lichess.org
Thanks man
Hope you don't get matched up against Magnus🤣🤣🤣🤣

Seeing fair play checks yesterday, then today seeing magnus leaving the tournament for wearing jeans
So the shaking was not "bead-induced" lolol?
Well well well, look who's using the Bluetooth beads now.
34:33- is the move Kf6?
You'll be my favorite Grand Master
I got You in my fantasy team!
Go for the chess, stay for the food…
Congrats on beating a GM :)
On fire.
it's all over
Looks like the London’s for you
MY GOAT
good luck
Kramnik was watching you play?
Kramnik has entered the chat
**KRAMNIK entered the chat**
Decent result when playing all GMs doncha think?
Yeeee-HAW! You feed them fancy chess boys a knuckle sandwich and show em who's boss!
this is the presume of GM Eric Rosen
Just imagine how intimidated your opponents would be if you were wearing your beard.
Imagine thinking that Eric would cheat. What is wrong with these cowards?
Show a photo of you in your sport coat!
