Look at the appearance of Lachin when it was occupied by Armenia, and now look at its development... it becomes clear who the original owners of these lands are.

Since when is Lachin disputed? It's an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan and it was populated almost exclusively by ethnic Azeris until 1992 when it was occupied by Armenia. But even after that it didn't become "disputed". For comparison, is Paris "disputed" territory because it was occupied by Germany in 1940-44?
Did you really equate democratic, indigenous Armenians to NAZI Germany? They literally live in a geography named after them: Armenian Highlands. Meanwhile Azerbaijan is by definition a fascist, racist, nepotist, petro-dictatorship.
@@arinangel_ 1. most of "indigenous" Armenians were resettled in what is now Armenia after 1828 by Russian authorities who brought them from Iran and Turkey. So they had to rename every single village, river or hille in the "Armenian Highland named after them" until 1990s to get rid of the Azeri placenames. The most of Armenian toponyms are artificial and were made up to replace the original ones in 1918-c.1995.
2. Tell that tale about "democratic" Armenia to those Azeris who were brutally beaten, killed, tortured, maimed, burnt alive when they were being forcefully expelled from Armenia in 1987-1991.
3. Don't talk nonsense about "fascist" and "racist" Azerbaijan you have never been to. It's a multiethnic and multiconfessional country while Armenia expelled all of its minorities and artificially made itself a monoethnical country.

Lachin is not disputed. It is internationally recognised territory of Azerbaijan with majority of the ethnic Azerbaijanis living there before the ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijanis in early 1990s. Lachin is one of 7 regions that Armenia occupied along with Nagorno-Karabakh. It was is not in the Nagorno-Karabakh territory itself but occupied and ethnically cleansed by Armenia. Euronews must check the facts before publishing news, rather than spreading fake news and Armenian propaganda. It is very unprofessional.
Why internationally recognised? Because of Azeri Caviar diplomacy and these ARmenian lands has Stalin given to the Azeris, illegally. Like Nahitshevan and Nagorny Karabakh. His grand Grandparents came from Central Asia.

Stalin did not give Karabakh to Azerbaijan. Karabakh was founded by Panakh Ali Khan (king of Karabakh). It was seized to Russian Empire in 1806 as result of Kurekcay treaty. The treaty was singed by grandson son of Panakh Ali Khan-Ibragim Kulu khan and the Russian Empire. If Karabakh was Armenian before 1806, why the Kurekchay Treaty was signed between Ibrahim Kulu khan and Russian Empire not by any Armenians? After the Kurekchay treaty, the Russian Empire moved lots of Armenians to Karabakh from Iran and Turkey. You can check the Turkmenchay Treaty, where it says clearly move Armenians from Persia to the Russian Empire (mainly to Erivan and Kharabakh khanates-kingdoms). Before there lived only 5 small meliks (lords), but subject of khan (king). Their title melik was much lower than of khan (king) his relatives, Agha and bey.
Stalin did not give Karabakh to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan entered to the Soviet Union with Karabakh and Zangezur. the Soviet Union degree was to REMAIN Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. Yet, Stalin gave Zangezur to Armenia. And deported Azerbaijanis from Zangezur, Vedi and Goyce regions in 1947. Anyone can check my facts in google.

In 1992, there were only 150,000 Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. They wanted independence and killed 20,000 Azerbaijanis and drove 800,000 Azerbaijanis from their homes and burned their homes. Is this fair? About 1 million people were expelled and killed because 150,000 Armenians wanted it that way.
After 30 years, justice was restored. Azerbaijan defeated Armenia with military force. About 1 million Azerbaijanis return to their homes and do not expel Armenians. Armenians are also allowed to live there. Who is fair now?

What is this fossil yapping about that we excavated those graves? It was either destroyed by collateral damage during the 2nd Karabakh war or some Azerbaijani staged it to make it look like we did it. Unlike Azerbaijanis, we Armenians actually have respect for the fallen regardless if they were an ally or an enemy. We have an Azerbaijani cemetery in Kapan in great condition and we actively maintain it because every person that once lived deserves to be remembered in some shape or form. Unlike Azerbaijan that completely obliterated the Armenian Julfa cemetery, virtually erasing any Armenian traces.
