Glad you enjoyed your visit to Eye Kettleby, we were also on the Northern site on 10th May pitch 36, we must admit we also like the Southern site better as think you get better views and the facilities on that site are amazing. Lovely vlog and Eye Kettleby is one of our favourite sites we stayed many times last year when I had a broken foot as having the bar and tea room on site is just great. The facilities are always immaculate.

Hi Lesley, I did manage to force a pork pie down but the famous Pork Pie shop was under renovation and they had a pop up shop around the back so didn’t bother filming. Tasty though and a great site 👍😊

That pub game would have lasted all of ten seconds before I got bored with it :D An interesting fact is the owner's daughter is Claire Lomas: (Claire Lomas MBE is a British campaigner, fundraiser, motivational speaker and former event rider. She became a paraplegic as a result of a riding accident in 2007. In 2012, she finished the 32nd Virgin London Marathon in 17 days using the ReWalk robotic suit.) ....an incredible woman of immense courage. They may have other daughters, don't know :)

Nice breakfast. The Cafe a Newtonmore does a great breakfast, but stay off the Mega it is erm Mega LOL I had one and did not eat until the afternoon of the next day.
We are at Castleton in the Peak District, at the Cand M club site now, coming home tomorrow. Warm weather, no rain, beautiful countryside which ever direction you take, streams, caves, mountains, attractions a castle and pubs - beautiful. What more could you want ?

We think we have said it before, but our favourite site is Hawes its fantastic friendly club site, maybe you could plan a Yorkshire tour 😀. Hebden Bridge is another lovely small site. Hi Julie, as you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did go to Melton Mowbray to film Ye olde pork pie shop but it was boarded up for refurbishment and they had a pop up shop around the back. Got a pork pie though and it was lovely. Pretty sure you’ll enjoy it at EKL. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. It’s a tough one to answer because there are so many variables. It depends on time of year, which site, full service or standard pitch? Sometimes depending on site you may pay extra for awnings, dogs etc and some sites include all of this in the price. Pitches vary on average between £25 and £50 a night. Best thing is to checkout individual sites own websites for pricing info and what’s included. Best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Adrian, we have both and to be honest we prefer to use the sun canopy with sides and 95% of the time that’s what we use. Really don’t like the porch awning at all. Our main awning is a heavy duty Kampa Rallye 390 air and it’s brill but very heavy.
@@HelenandDave Thanks much appreciated when we left caravaning in 2012 we had a full Isabella ambassador which took hours to put up and caused lots of arguments, we returned this March with a new VIP 575 which we love but need something to dry off the dogs when it’s raining and the sun off in those odd days when it’s sunny and warm. We have looked at the Magnum 340/400, Eclipse Sun canopy but if it’s not quick and easy to put up it simply will not get used.

Well life is all about choices, you can get cheaper but you won't get facilities like this., we are away most weeks and we know what you get for your money. We have also paid more for a lot less even on CAMC sites. Cheers, Helen & Dave

Fab video - if you haven't been to Old Oaks nr Glastonbury you should - it's fantastic - we went last month and loved it.

Brilliant place and it looked like you had a fab time on your birthday Dave and Helen. That pub game would have lasted all of ten seconds before I got bored with it :D An interesting fact is the owner's daughter is Claire Lomas: (Claire Lomas MBE is a British campaigner, fundraiser, motivational speaker and former event rider. She became a paraplegic as a result of a riding accident in 2007. In 2012, she finished the 32nd Virgin London Marathon in 17 days using the ReWalk robotic suit.) ....an incredible woman of immense courage. They may have other daughters, don't know :)

Nice breakfast. The Cafe a Newtonmore does a great breakfast, but stay off the Mega it is erm Mega LOL I had one and did not eat until the afternoon of the next day.

We are at Castleton in the Peak District, at the Cand M club site now, coming home tomorrow. Warm weather, no rain, beautiful countryside which ever direction you take, streams, caves, mountains, attractions a castle and pubs - beautiful. What more could you want ?

Well that does look a great site, pitches looked spacious and very neat.
You certainly weren't kidding when you said you ate too much😅, it did look like amazing food, though 😋.
We think we have said it before, but our favourite site is Hawes its fantastic friendly club site, maybe you could plan a Yorkshire tour 😀. Hebden Bridge is another lovely small site.

Hi Julie, as you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did go to Melton Mowbray to film Ye olde pork pie shop but it was boarded up for refurbishment and they had a pop up shop around the back. Got a pork pie though and it was lovely. Pretty sure you’ll enjoy it at EKL. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍

We are seriously considering a caravan, what is the cost of the weekly stay?
Hi, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. It’s a tough one to answer because there are so many variables. It depends on time of year, which site, full service or standard pitch? Sometimes depending on site you may pay extra for awnings, dogs etc and some sites include all of this in the price. Pitches vary on average between £25 and £50 a night. Best thing is to checkout individual sites own websites for pricing info and what’s included. Best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Sun canopy with sides or porch awning we cannot decide, we have 3 small dogs any advice?
Hi Adrian, we have both and to be honest we prefer to use the sun canopy with sides and 95% of the time that’s what we use. Really don’t like the porch awning at all. Our main awning is a heavy duty Kampa Rallye 390 air and it’s brill but very heavy.
@@HelenandDave Thanks much appreciated when we left caravaning in 2012 we had a full Isabella ambassador which took hours to put up and caused lots of arguments, we returned this March with a new VIP 575 which we love but need something to dry off the dogs when it’s raining and the sun off in those odd days when it’s sunny and warm. We have looked at the Magnum 340/400, Eclipse Sun canopy but if it’s not quick and easy to put up it simply will not get used.
@@adrianjones5678 I can get the sun canopy up in 5 to 10 minutes. It’s another reason why I like it so much 👍

Hi Pauline, no I don’t because you don’t need to. We don’t go pushing the camera in peoples faces but inevitably when in public places we catch people in the video. Cheers, Dave
I think £47 per night is outrageous
Well life is all about choices, you can get cheaper but you won't get facilities like this., we are away most weeks and we know what you get for your money. We have also paid more for a lot less even on CAMC sites. Cheers, Helen & Dave
