I highly recommend downloading the Karta GPS app. Free offline route guidance. Has got me out of bother in the depths of Wales on a few occasions now with no signal. Cheers guys.
@@ModifiedJeepsUK I'd be very interested in hearing any tips you have on planning European trips. I'm hoping to get to the Pyrenees later this year if C19 allows.
Would be interesting to see how you've planned your European trips. Just about finished planning ours for 2021 so it'd be interesting to see if we've done it a different way/missed anything!
Great video. I can't help but agree with the comments on TW2. Good service but could be much better. Improved filters and the possibility of an app would be very useful, not so much for navigation but more to have it handy on the go, check comments, and also uplaod reports whilst out on the lanes etc.
Some interesting hints & tips👍 I've still not got a 4x4 yet... Would love to know what you two think of the Ineos Grenadier? Yeah I'd be insterested to learn about road tripping in the EU 🚙
Thanks 😊 We that's one vote for a European trip video 😂 As for the grenadier, it's kinda shocking that they have ripped off the defender, and even more so that Land Rover lost a law suit about the design rights. Why wouldn't they just design their own vehicle? I rather be known for something unique, not the guy who ripped off a classic design. As for how it handles, that's still to be seen.
Very helpful, as ever, thanks for sharing your knowledge. It may not be the same for all counties, but I am based in Hampshire and the Hampshire County Council website has a "Rights of Way Definitive Map" where you can look for BOATs. I only found this recently so maybe it is new. I have fought hard to avoid setting up a FaceBook account, but I may have to relent just so I can join your group. Lastly, the CJ is looking really nice in the background, so come on stop teasing and give us a video on it. Even if you haven't had time to do much work on it yet share a walk around and show it of. I can't be the only one who would like to see it.
Councils do have maps, not sure if they are all online though. As for Facebook, it's a necessary evil at time haha. We have the website too but the facebook group is good for asking other members for help or opinions, as well as buying or selling etc. We agree, a CJ video 'as it is now' is needed. First sunny weekend day and it will be done 😊
Great video guys, I use OS Maps for route planning in the UK and also to follow while driving, great as you can overlay any of the OS maps so can see all Byways etc. its a minimal yearly subscription but well work it in my opinion.
@@ModifiedJeepsUK I'm super impressed with it you can also record routes and share as you mention with Wikiloc, although is mainly people walking and cycling :)
@@danwalker84 Seems like we'd still need TW2 for the up-to-date info on lane closures or restrictions though. There needs to be an all in one solution from GLASS I think.
@@ModifiedJeepsUK Yep TW2 is still the best for this info, as you say if GLASS incorporated this functionality in to TW2 they really would have a winning product on their hands.
I think he likes to have some highlights reflecting or wants to help freeze the action. Personally, I like available light and a little motion blur can also go a long way.
Thanks for the mention guys! Glad you enjoy our group 😀👍
Our pleasure!

We will check that one out for sure, thanks for sharing 😀
Threat video guys! Thanks for taking the time to explain your planning!
No sweat! 👍
Great video 📹👍 would love to see the European planning one 😀
Noted!
Spot on. Cheers for this 👍👍👍
No problem 👍
Great video! I recently found your channel and it has been an inspiration, so much so I'm getting a 4x4 this year.
Great informative vlog. Thanks guys. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks guys, helps me to start planning. 👍
Our pleasure! It's actually fun doing the research.
@@ModifiedJeepsUK I find it easier planning abroad than in the UK.
@@luisguerreiro1806 It does seem like the UK doesn't want it to be easy for us. But we have our ways 👍

Thank you for the link, much appreciated :)
Look forward to ruining some trails with you when we’re allowed,
P.s painting is awesome 🤩
No Problem. And I hope you mean running, not ruining 😅

As a professional photographer I am really trying to understand why in the intro you have a guy taking a shot with a speedlite 😆
