@@hammerheadcorvette4 ? The new system has a giant filter running down the front of the case - where the only intake fans exist. Another large filter up top, and a smaller one for the PSU below. Pretty standard for ATX cases. But if his system looks this bad in six months, I'll clean it _again._ No biggie :-)

I used to smoke indoors and as a result, had to fully disassemble my computers every 2-3 months, and do a full on cleaning that started with washing everything in the sink or shower, including motherboard...and then a full on alcohol wipe down of everything. The full process would take hours...usually a day of casually cleaning. Even with all the cleaning, the "tar" would still end up in places that cannot be easily cleaned...like inside fan hubs, eventually causing the fans to run slower or just seize up entirely. I quit smoking a couple years back and now rarely have to clean things...though with a dog in the house, I still do it every now and then. I no longer have to run filters on my case, though, which really helps with overall temps.

I love how this is considered the "worst" so far. I built my boyfriend's new PC and then cleaned all the components from the old PC so that I could use it and when I tell you it took me two full cans of compressed air, about 3-5hrs total of cleaning/rebuilding time, and each component/the case itself had about a centimeter of dust covering it, I'm not kidding. To put it into perspective, this case has lived on the floor its entire life (not anymore now that I'm using it) and we have carpet and two cats. To top it off, the PC hadn't even been opened in at least 2yrs, and I have no idea when it was last cleaned but it was not cleaned two years ago when it was open, just had a gpu switch. Loving the system now and it's running a lot cooler now that it's clean. It'll definitely hold me over till I can afford the last few components for my own build.

12:43 6 months🤣... it would probably thermally throttle at this point here in Egypt. Only if the PC is in a room with an AC would I be willing to wait that long for a cleanup. Of course I only do your level of cleaning when changing platforms but just using a blower is all that's needed to achieve 80% of the cleanliness you seek and will also definitely avoid any thermal issues.
I had the pleasure of owning that case when it was still newly released. That's the original NZXT Phantom . A Great quality case from NZXT that's still working to this day.Incredible airflow potential. The only aesthetic issue apart from the usual wear and tear is that the color of the plastic became a different shade of red compared to the metal panels. 100% happy with that purchase

@@justinv3080 yeah. By today’s standards, it’s a little obsolete. But the sheer amount of space was so nice to work with. The NZXT Phantom! I'm currently cleaning my white one to give my old build away to my nephew, I definitely won't go as deep in the cleaning process and I'm keeping the same case but I was shocked to see the exact same model I'm currently cleaning. Definitely was a dust trap but very good airflow and plenty of room inside plus that killer look, it's been called a heater and A/C a few times by ignorant people . Actually the removable top and front panel turned yellowish (quit smoking last year), I tried various techniques, even rubbing alcohol and WD40 isn't enough so I'm doing it with acetone now, only on the top panel, the front one is less bad, the acetone dissolves the plastic and I can get rid of that brownish layer albeit killing the glossy and slick aspect of it but completely restoring the original white but it's a pain to do.

When I clean my PC, I use a soft paintbrush and a hoover to remove most of the dust. Whilst softly brushing the dust off, the hoover sucks up all the dust. If you use compressed air to remove the dust, you will just spread it around the room and also your lungs. Since dust is mostly dead skin, It's not something you really want to be breathing in. If you must use compressed air, you can do that outside.

The problem is Amazon won’t deliver it to my house and idk why, it’s really annoying cuz they always say something like “we missed the delivery to your house” so I feel I’m getting scammed. But props to everyone who is able to get one.
