I know that it was post Whitney Houston's version from The Bodyguard because Dolly's version always had a talk sing section that Whitney only sang. I looked up the song itself on Wikipedia and shockingly the duet with Vince Gill is not listed as one of the primary release versions. Does anyone have that information?
I know Whitney's power ballad is iconic, and I appreciate her talent, but the gentler way Dolly and Vince sing it is the way it tugs my heart.
Imo, the lyrics of the song is more suited for a more reflective and quiet rendition as is in the case of Vince and Dolly.
