I never count calories. Been carnivire vote for 3 yrs. Just eat meat till I'm full, With the fat. Eggs and some cheese. I've kept off my 45 lbs all this time. Do have coffee and a little cream. I'll never change the way I'm eating. Feel terrific. I'm 72. 73 on Sunday. I walk 2 miles a day. I feel like I'm 30. On no meds.. keep up the good work. You won't regret it.!

I have always used a mayo recipe from Well Fed which is so easy and no slow addition of oil. I use light tasting olive oil cos it doesn’t bother me and I only use mayo maybe once a week. I keep this for about a month because UK has very high quality free range eggs.
Immersion blender. In a jug add 1 WHOLE egg white and yolk, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp Salt (add more at end if needed), 1 tbsp White wine vinegar (or lemon juice if preferred), 1/4 cup oil of your choice bled until emulsified approx 20-30 seconds, Measure additional 1 cup of oil and start blending, pouring in small ‘glugs’ of oil, you really don’t need to pour slowly. When you have about 1/4 of cup oil remaining pause and add one tbsp of hot water. This thins the mayo and makes it a brighter white and makes it easier to add the rest of the oil. Add rest of oil until combined and if suits taste, add one tbsp lemon juice. Adjust salt and store in airtight jar in the fridge for up to one month.

For me adding a lot of walking sped up my weight loss, not to mention all it’s done for uplifting my mood, energy and making my sleep better. I like to take a long walk in the morning to get the day started right (and vitamin D is so important to overall health!) while listening to an audiobook or podcast or RUclips (often your videos!). I also make sure I park farther away in lots and walk around the house or yard whenever I’m on the phone. I’ve been able to consistently reach 10K steps a day and it’s really been a major upgrade to my life!

Mayo is so easy with an immersion blender! The web is full of recipes. A couple of pro tips: Egg yolks only and at room temp. 1/2 cup oil per yolk (my fav is walnut or avocado). Fresh lemon juice not the bottled stuff. Quality mustard and try diff vinegars. The most important part-add any flavor you want! My fav being liquid smoke! The amazing thing is watching the emulsion happen...like my mom did forever :-)

Especially getting off track with those reward days, getting frustrated with no loss for a couple of weeks. You have encouraged me to continue on with my second 30 day carnivore. I did well the first 30 days but no weight loss , however when I went to my Dr. My blood work was the best ever in my life. I then cheated which went from one treat to 5 days. It has taken two weeks to get back on track. I will stick to it because it is healing me from many medical issues. I know weightloss will come. Keep up the great videos!

I have watched a few of your videos this evening, and I can relate to everything you say. You have convinced me to start this way of eating tomorrow. I am 54 in July and probably need to lose around 20lb, but the main reason I want to try this is to help with joint pain I am experiencing in my knees, arms and hands. I have had some success in the past following keto, and am really keen to give this a try and see if I can get rid of some of this inflammation which just seems to have come on the last 2-3 weeks. Plus I have a holiday coming up in a little under 4 weeks. Thanks for recording your carnivore journey's, it's been a real eye opener for me xx

This video was exactly what I needed. I ate the toppings and cheese off a meat pizza during a weak moment this afternoon and was convincing myself and my husband that since I had messed up I should eat all the things! He was encouraging and instead of losing it I ate steak and eggs. I keep setting a goal to eat OMAD and then I eat two meals. Then I feel shame because I didn’t reach my goal, but the mental weight of breaking down and eating meat is so much less than breaking down and eating some unhealthy. I have some serious disordered eating, but I’m trying not to stress and taking it one day at a time. Carnivore is helping, but it’s so hard. Sorry for the long comment, but I just needed to put this out into a community who might understand how difficult it is to have a healthy relationship with food and your body.

I love these videos! You're videos have been so helpful to me (I use the reverse sear method all the time now ;) ) and show how carnivore is doable.
My goal is to keep on with keto-carnivore. My husband and I are almost through our second month of eating this way. Meal planning, prep is so much easier. Grocery shopping is so much easier. Most days I do OMAD and it's working out really well. I eat until I'm full at supper. It's like a challenge some days. I'll start getting a bit hungry around 2:00 or 3:00, but I'll look at the clock and think "I can go a couple more hours until supper." My husband's game for doing a third month. My birthday is in a few days, and I've decided to treat myself (and hubby) to a prime rib roast :) I may even put a candle in it.
The scale is slowly going down, but I'm seeing some results in other areas. My clothes fit better, and I'm wearing jeans I haven't been able to wear in years. I have more sustained energy--on my days off, I used to take naps. Now, I can't remember the last time I took a nap. My focus is better and I'm more productive during the day.
Thank you so much for sharing this part of your life with us.

I have been binging your videos the past few days 😊. I’ve been keto for a few years now but I stalled over a year and a half ago. No rhyme or reason for why and to add insult to injury I’ve gained some of the weight I lost back. I decided to go full carnivore to see if it helps. I just finished up a 3 day fast today and for dinner had a pound of steak with some butter on top an ounce of white cheddar. Thank you sooo much for the informative videos.

You deserve to be proud of all your achievements and be aware of what triggers you. Love 💓 your channel Laura it gives me so much insight and information that I need to keep on the straight path & not deviate with that piece of dark chocolate 😂😁😆 because to get back on track it’s a struggle especially when I spent the last year cheating after 3 years of doing remarkably well on keto - losing over half my body weight - and when my dad died I used that excuse to emotionally binge on cakes and carbs. I only gained 10 kilos but it wasn’t the point, it took me 14 months to get the sugar and carb monster under control and truthfully it’s watching your channel and others that has given me the courage and strength to move into carnivore and I am really loving the food freedom it gives me. I don’t think about the it’s or cakes 🍰 I think about where I can buy the fattiest rib eye or Japanese wagyu - that’s a definite treat now 👍😍🥩

Place in widemouth mason jar or I use cup that came with blender. Hold immersion blender in mixture until starts to turn white then gradually raise up to incorporate rest of oil mixture. My kryptonite is asian food... Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Indian, and (not asian) Ethiopian. Those are the flavors that I crave. I just had my last carby meal for a long time. Back on the wagon tomorrow morning.
I've been on keto off and on for 2.5 years. Lost 50 pounds and over this circus the last 6 months I've gained about 40 of it back. :( I'm ready to try carnivore. I also have Hashimotos so it will help that as well.
I don't know how long I've been watching your videos but it's been a long time. I don't miss one even if I got off the wagon. Each one reminded me that sooner or later I'd have to make that decision and get serious again.
I really love the what I eat videos. I love how real you seem in your videos. Like it's totally ok to mess up or change your plans.

Before Wu-flu I'd go to the more upscale grocery stores and their hot food bars would have just cooked meat sold by weight. Or, go to the deli and get a half a pound of liverwurst and a quarter pound of thinly sliced Swiss Cheese for enough for two good feedings. (Cheap!)
