  • I'm drn and this is our fifth game in this week's tournament going up against "this is fine". Here we get to apply lessons learned in our last game and try to stay ahead on the board with tempo. Our opponent makes strong plays too, but will they be enough to stop us?
Hope you enjoy watching as always. Anything you think I've done wrong or could do better please let me know, I'm always looking to improve both my gameplay and the video quality. Thanks again for watching!

Haha, sorry! I don't even notice myself saying it a lot of the time, it's just part of the upgrade process :D Double the stats! So much value!

What a turnaround between games well done! Complete opposite results with just a few key adjustments

Thanks! Yeah, just being mindful of fielding chaff clear round 1 and more careful with my positioning made all the difference to the flow of the whole game. Our opponent was unlucky though, there's a none zero chance that I play the Arclights on the outer side of the chaff and suddenly we're the ones behind on the tempo if the tanks are clearing them before they've done their job.

@@Drone_101 i mean you took a look at your mistakes last game and came ready to correct them this game, they’ll likely do the same and correct for next game, maybe you started a chain lol

I love MTG, but the rotating formats are too hectic to keep up with as I often travel for work. Pauper online for me (though that UI is cacao). Good job not tilting. Got right back on the horse with the same starting pack. I won’t lie, it is more fun when you win! Although the best part of your videos is the after battle analysis. That helps with my own battles, especially in selecting the bonus units.

Yeah, I used to enjoy popping in for limited once every couple of weeks - now it feels like there's a new set for me to try and learn every time I get a chance to play!
Tilting's not normally a problem for me, normally it's more despair that I have to stave off when I can see the path we're on and I'm frantically trying to dig myself out of the hole. Talking things through on camera helps me keep focussed and look for ways out which I think helps. The after battle analysis can be a bit exhausting sometimes but it's defo worth doing, really helps me learn lessons and improve.

Well done! And a great job keeping your head cool after the last game. Glad I got to watch them back to back.

Thanks! Was nice to have a palate cleanser after being obliterated, and was good to put some of the lessons learned into immediate effect to drive them home.

Played for a few years off and on along the way as life allows. Don't like the current hyper monetized trend they've been following lately in paper but will admit some of the modern cards are gorgeous :D You play yourself?

@@Drone_101 I collected some cards for some years, but the hard part was finding ppl my age to play against. Its an expensive hobby, so i switched to the pc version. But its not the same :’)
