This movie is very realistic. It makes us ponder on life......which is a very brief journey that takes us closer to our end every second. When d mortician was preparing d deceased......it was very clear that we humans r all d same....without one being superior than the other. In what way one mite ask......as humans we were created with d same blood colour, vulnerable and perish by death. We r not made superior or inferior by d colour of our skin. We r only seen as superior by God Almighty by our deeds, kindness of d heart towards animals and fellow humans without racial or bias. We end up dead at the end. D deceased lady was handled by a total stranger at the end. This is life...full of unpredictabilities. D person whom we despise wld turn out to b our best friend. The dog which we chase away with revolt wld turn out to b protecting our hse. The beggar which we don look at wld turn out sharing his fud/ water with us.......life is always watched by our Most Superior......carry on our jrny of life as a kind, sharing, caring and loving being.....
Look at this young mortician. She wanted so much to bcome a famous make up artist and she ended up as a mortician. My point of life being an unpredictable journey. She may b better and more successful than being a struggling make up artist. The main thing is her bread and butter is frm a halal source.......bcoz life is not abt showing off to others of our success but its a journey of being a humble and righteous person......which always make our heart happy and satisfied.
The veteran actor....... the one as a mortician was one of d empat sekawan actors. I used to watch d empat sekawan tv series when i was in primary way back in the 70s....the black and white tv era. Those were d days of tv glory. Even tho i am not a chinese but i really enjoyed watching empat sekawan. A veteran is like a gem....will nvr lose its shine and value.?...

it's a very heartwarming film, taking on a different story that is not usually tackled. Thumbs up to the people behind it.
This film is just perfect. I wanted to say something kind, but I am afraid that I can't tell what I feel. I was so depressed before watching this. And now I see hope. I want to find my place in this big world, and do something for the people. This film is the perfect answer to my fears. Thank you for making this masterpiece and giving me peace.

Beautifully and touching short film. I still miss my grandfather. I gave him the last and final gift the teddy with hug along the letter I wrote on the Valentine Day. Thanks to my mom stand next to me while comfort me.

I don't know if this will be read. I'm halfway through the video, but I assume how it's going to end. I'm an artist, or I try to be, and always wanted to hear what this girl's grandma said:you'll be recognized someday. I lost my grandma a few months ago, I remember how she looked once at a pencil drawing of Al Pacino I made and said "who's this handsome man?" :'). I also remember I wanted to work at a funeral home when I was younger and my father told me why it had to be me...
Now, I'm almost 33. I have a chronic degenerative condition, I don't know how much time I've got left but I know I don't want to go without feeling I made something good with my life. Blessings for whoever read this.

I had to say something....I really want to shut this video down every minute I watch it, but I insist to continue. This video gives me a lot of heartfelt emotion reminds me of my deceased mother 8 years ago. The scene of changing clothes and makeup really struck deep into my memories as I had undergo this moments before. It is never been so tough in my life other than this few minutes of sorrow.
What a beautiful storyline and thank you for making working with the deceased a positive and honorable job. So many cultures have it as a tainted job yet they want their family members taken care of they want their burial to be special yet they treat the people who do that work with such great disrespect it is honestly a terrible disservice to these people. Thank you for lifting them up and showing that it takes a great deal of Courage tactfulness and love to do this type of work. This was a lovely and touching story in more ways than one from the storyline of the grandmother and the girl to the interesting job and the girls dream and how she fulfilled them through working with this man and the little twist of the grandmother and the man working to help the girl fulfill her dreams and their grandmother not having to fear for her granddaughter would be left alone in the world after her passing if only reality in life would always work out this way for the Orphans of this world.
What a wonderful short film... truly beautiful and full of emotions. Brought a lump to my throat and the tears fell freely.. We are all on this journey so let us always be humble and helpful to everyone... I have a strong belief that we will all see our dead loved ones again.. have faith in God

This hit me hard literally. Few years ago my Granny also died from cancer it was sudden but it took me a few seconds to process it but took me from 2014 till now I'm still grieving
WHAT REALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION, WAS LIVING ONES SO WARPED UP IN THEIR SELFISH WAYS OF THEIR LIFE, THEY CANNOT EXCEPT THE DEATH OF SOME ONE THEY WORKED SO HARD TO LOVE

Wow...I have no use for makeup usually. However, when that mother thanked her with such enthusiasm...it told me the girl is good...and that were I her at that moment I would know I had found my calling.

i remember watching this video when it came out. My grandpa was terminally ill and was dying. Mid way watching the video, I received a phone call from my mom telling me that grandpa had passed on. I cried while watching this video.

It would appear that Ping's grandmother was indeed the old man's love but for some reason he never proposed to marry her. It was the grandmother who thus arranged for Ping to be employed by the old man. This explains why the grandmother was so supportive when Ping confessed the nature of her new job. Question is, did Ping find out in the end? I just love the twist in the story.
this is something like the japanese movie The Departure. Uncommon job but it's honourable career.

Banyak benda boleh dapat dalam cerita ni..salah 1 nya kenapa nak kejar dunia popular sampai berebut dan mesti ada isu cemburu..jadi lebih baik buat kerja yang sama tapi takkan ada isu negatif..mana ada di negara kita tak kira apa bangsa dan agama memilih untuk berkhidmat sebagai pengurusan jenazah..kalau melayu kebanyakkan orang tua uruskan..
Jadi di sini walaupun duit memang di perlukan kerana semakin lama semakin tinggi kos tapi lagi di kejar lagi di paksa sebab banyak benda nak tanggung sedangkan benda tu bukan kita nak guna pakai setiap masa..tapi buatkan kita hidup tak tenang..nampak gembira tapi tiap hari gelisah sebenarnya..tidur tak lena sebab belum tahu esok masih hidup atau tidak dan adakah esok kita mencari duit cukup target kita..
Ini la yang kami belajar paham dalam cerita ni..

Her relatives were like hurry up and get some high paying makeup jobs, we have to send our son to school. J/K. I worked in a funeral home. I wasn't a makeup artist but i admired what they did and watched them work. They were fast and did great jobs. I loved this short film and the nice twist at the end.
My dream was to be a actor....but l am afraid that everyone would laugh at me..

My grandma passed away last year, before she move on, 15:01-15.09 the sentence here reminded me that the oath that I promised my grandma before she move on, she keeps reminded me to help relieve my mom's burden. I teared up through out this part coz I haven't fulfill what I promise her at all. Will it be a jinx?
