Super Slow-mo would be a great addition to Good Good Labs. It would be nice to be able to see all of the checkpoints throughout the swing. Keep up the good work!

    • @auriferous4462
      @auriferous4462 3 года назад +12

Sadly, trying to learn the golf swing using checkpoints is like a kid being shown in slow motion what checkpoints to hit while throwing a ball. Learn "what" to do, your body has a way of finding out "how".

The mental thought of sweeping, as opposed to taking a thick divot with the 4 and 2 iron was game changing. After the video I immediately went to the range and went to work. Much better strike and shot height
Thanks for helping the game out!

Great video! Grant's smooth hybrid/3-wood swings encourage me to not give up on my hybrid practice. Also, Tig's message about being patient (for good tempo) and keeping the golf club grip light really stuck in my mind in today's practice session......I was able to hit some decent 4-hybrid shots. Thanks again Grant and Tig!

This season is the first time I've ever felt comfortable with a long iron in my hands. I carry a 3 iron and a 4 hybrid just for the versatility they bring. When I played in highschool like 20 yrs ago long irons were impossible to hit. Now the technology has really made them accessable to guys who don't play every day. Game changer once you get used to them.

Slow motion with some graphics (showing where I should be looking at the swing) would be cool. I watch a lot of these videos but I have a hard time seeing the mechanics you guys are trying to explain . Like circling a still image of the hand position or club position would even be helpful I think for lots of people. Or maybe a side by side comparison of middle of the stance to front of the stance as an example. Just my 2 cents on things I would like to see.

Great topic boyz & per usual solid Lab Grant. 💯 The best advice I ever got for hitting long irons is to swing through the ball & let the face move up towards the sky. Might not be for everyone but it cured my bullet snap-hook that quickly made short par 5's (Eagleable 😆) into long par 5's.

I’m pretty crap from 50 to 100, but I have a cheater technique for 30 to 50 that works well for me - feet close together, not touching, ball of the back foot, everything connected like a putting stroke with my 60 degree, a full strength hard putting stroke gets me 50, a little less for 40 and 30 is a feel thing that I practice before the round. Lose some spin for sure but it gets my ball on the green easy

Hey great video. Crispy swings. My quetion relates to shaping. I always have to have a shape in mind. I use to hit fades and weak fades with each club. And a coach said it was more of a block not a fade lol. And switched me over to a draw. My irons down to a 7 feel good and i draw them. But driver and for some reason long irons i feel more comfortable setting up for a fade. (If i set up the long irons. I tend to punch hook it.) but this fade set up sometimes feels wrong and usually doesnt go further then the 7. Any suggestions with shaping the long irons. Positions. Technique. Etc. hope this made some sense.

Ive always been most comfortable with long irons , from day 1 , not sure why but 3 4 5 6 has always been easier for me to hit and control.
Sweeping and not making a divot now tells me it's prob why cause I am comfortable with doing both of those parts of a golf shot.

Yes. Do not play long irons off the left heel. About a few inches inside of that. Another helpful thing is to imagine you are hitting a 9 iron when you are hitting a 3 iron. This will help you relax and swing easy and make good contact. Also be sure to squat in the legs, for power and contact as well.

I’m excited to work on a 3/10 grip, I feel like I’m no where near that loose.!!

does your downswing feel the same for every club or are you patient with that too?

Would love to see a video on hitting fairway woods/hybrids out of the fairway!

Maybe in a later video talk about why everyone has a different club at different distances. Age, height, flexibility (or lack there of) etc... And tell folks to not be mad cause they're not hitting it as long as the pros or a high level amateur

I’d like to see Grant talk about how he thinks about speed while slowing down the swing in general compared to most guys.

Can you guys do a video solely on 60* wedges. I have one in the bag but I barely use it because I have a hard time swinging fully with it but you guys use them a ton.
Also a video about fringe chipping against the grain. That shot kills me sometimes and I’d love to be able to hit it without having to rely on (as Bubbie calls it) the Texas wedge.

I feel like a break down of the swing needs to be added since we just hear what needs to be done, then shown a couple swings but you guys are so good us amateurs can't see the differences ourselves.

I’m gonna have to agree with the comments, the 30-70 yard shot from a tight lie/maybe rough is a nightmare shot for most. Would love to see a lab for this

Thanks Mica and Grant, this has been the worst part of my game. More gg labs please. It's just easier to relate and understand with you guys 🔥
