Big fan of both vids so far. Would love a less zoomed in angle if poss when the guys are explaining technique. Feel like full body view would be easier to digest info. Just my two cents - take it or leave it.
This will become the fastest growing of the good good channels ( group or personal ) Grant you gonna be set up for success with this here ( such a natural golf teacher ) My man G has that vision always Good luck fellas God Bless All
Do this with all of the good good crew. Garrett is usually within a few yards of Tig on course. What does he do to generate speed? Same with Grant, still gets good distance with a smooth swing. How does he generate speed. I would say to do this with everyone and breakdown each swing.
I literally suggested that I the first labs video lol. Because they are all different swings . Like garret seems to whip through the ball with his arms more . Grant gets more rotation but doesn’t use the ground as much etc.
Garrett and Grant hit the ball with a lower ball flight therefore theirs have more roll out Tig usually carries their total distance but has little to no roll out hence why their balls aren’t too far away from each other’s. If Tig wanted he could hit a low ball flight and get way more total distance but i think he prefers higher ball flight + more consistent distances.
@@jordanmoananu7572 He also is shorter and uses a shorter shaft for his driver. He is a way bigger power generator then those two. In saying that when garret gets to Micahs age and is stronger than he is now I am sure he will launch absolute rockets.
@@dalon6900 it’s hard to believe but Garrett in one of the sunday match videos said Tig has had back issues in the past and he swings slower now than when he was younger which is crazy cause micah now still swings hella fast.
Honestly, I got more insight and things I easily can incorporate into my own swing in an 8 minute video than I have from watching hours of swing tip videos from "professionals". Keep it up fellas!
Just wanted to say yall have been crushing these first two lessons and I could listen to y'all talk about your swing and what you're thinking about when you're on the course all day, thanks for the great vids!
Reading the comments below and it’s just nothing but everyone wanting to know every aspect of everything y’all have learned. Gotta make you feel too good that so many people respect and enjoy. Thanks for the slow motion
Lads, I am not a great golfer, self taught and not very well, but this video has just clicked with me, was at the range today and hit my driver like never before, finally "using the ground" as you put it. Such a genuinely good and relatable video from some of the most entertaining lads on this platform!
Literally the day after I watched this, I hit a driver 295 and over a water hazard carry of 275, then hit a hybrid to 4 feet and made the putt for Eagle in my wolf game. Already in love with this series.
Tig rotates his head slightly to the right at the beginning of his swing. That little move makes it so much simpler to fully rotate his left shoulder under and create that huge turn and tons of leverage. Jack Nicklaus and Tiger both do the same thing. Another bonus is that it creates room for your hands and arms to properly come through on the downswing, making it harder to come over the top or "flip". If you struggle to make a full turn, try it out. One issue - You have to be left eye dominant (if you're right handed) to be able to rotate your head to the right. Jordan Spieth is right eye dominant so he is unable to create the same kind of turn.
I was skeptic at first. But this is just premium content. I'm feeling privileged to actually be able to watch those videos. Thanks guys. Easiest subscription of my life.
Thanks Grant, this video right here is making hit PISS MISSILES, 300+ on average. The swing change made me shoot 90 in my college tourney, but I did indeed hit BOMBS.
I'm amazed at how effortless it looks and how relatively little the lower body moves. I only started playing in September and paused over the winter. Now that I am getting back into it, I'm having trouble getting my swing back to where it was. It wasn't great to begin with but I was finding that it was off by about 30 yards with my driver. I realized I was doing two things, (1) using my arms too much and not getting a good turn in my hips, and (2) swaying my body position front to back too much. Your videos are helping me out tremendously. Cheers boys!
I already out drive my buddy's but I can't get rid of my slice. I'm loosing 50 yards atleast b.c of my slice. I kno its my hands that r the issue n u guys r definitely helping n can't wait to get back on course n take wat I learned n apply it to my game.
Thank you so much for this! I have been looking for an instructional video on how to get some yardages but a lot of time it's just attack angle, shoulder pitch, and rotating out. Seeing you guys load that back leg and tucking that back arm really brings it home for those with consistent form but want to squeeze in some yards.
I really like the Good Good Labs concept so far. Grant is a great teacher and all the guys have some really helpful knowledge to share. I think a chipping tips video would be really helpful to those of us struggling with our short game lol, & obviously putting eventually (what is “rolling” a putt exactly?). Once the Labs hit the basics i think y’all should make a video on hitting a draw & a fade. Always looking for golf help videos & its awesome that my favorite youtube golfers are making those now. Keep it up guys 👍
I like the start to these videos but I would like to see more of the key points to the overall swing. Like ball positioning, where you want the club to finish in your swing and the best way to time up your tempo. Good good start to the first 2 videos though!
My 8 year old son AJ loves golf , and other sports as his dad I'm trying to just let him hit it hard at this point w/ infus on solid means long drives . Thanks for the tips men we love the lab series

Well one thing Tig since you're having such a joyous time giving instructions on grip-pressure...you don't hit the ball long, or even consistently, by "releasing" the driver. Maybe that's why you hit those hard draws so often. Releasing the driver in the downswing leads to an inconsistent strike due to inconsistent face-to-path angle at impact. The key to long drives is to NOT release the driver through impact and especially not in the follow-through (which leads to some truly wicked cuts). Hold the clubface open at the top of the backswing, drop the club into the slot (or as you call it, "shallow the club", I prefer to swing the driver head back around and then down through the slot, like a weight on a rope, rather than just dropping the club like you're swinging an iron), establish your impact wrist-angle and maintain that wrist angle all the way down into, through and past impact. You want a face strike that is slightly above and slightly towards the toe with just enough spin to straighten ball-flight. The key to long drives is to optimize launch angle, spin (face-to-path), and face-impact location (bottom-middle-top, heel-center-toe). Nothing less, nothing more. You can't optimize any of that consistently if you're casting or releasing. Good strike-location and face-to-path parameters beat good clubhead-speed every moment of every day of every week. Week in & week out, every month of the season, every season of your career. With poor strike-quality you're struggling to swing the club faster to make up for distance lost to poor impact parameters. It's a losing game as you just spin the ball harder and hit it farther off the desired line in both height and azimuth. Releasing the club is a major contributor to poor strike-quality. The driver is without question the easiest club to hit well, maybe even more so than a putter. If you can't get that right, then you have no hope of hitting good irons. And if you drive well and put a good 3-wood into the mix, then you're literally going to be able to skip most of the long irons and THAT my friend is a huge bonus. There is nothing that I love about golf more than playing a long Par4 or 5 by dropping a decent drive 250 yards into the middle of the fairway, maybe hitting a 3-wood to within 50 yards if necessary, dropping a wedge onto the green and a short putt into the hole, and birdying a long Par 4 or 5 while jaws are dropped all around. Not because I hit any one shot sickly long. But because I mastered every club that I hit. Better than hitting 350 yard drives and 250 yard irons and then chopping-up the course the rest of the way in, scoring doubles all the way around. Long irons are Trouble Best Avoided Whenever Possible. The main part of golf is hitting the flatsticks, the high irons, woods and driver. Well. Consistently. You cannot do that by releasing the clubhead. That won't even work with irons. Video over...thank you and goodnight.
Great stuff, loved the camera work and split screen really helps the visual interpret the tips. What are you guys wearing for shoes? Looks like normal shoes your wearing not golf shoes. I'm starting to play golf a little more again after cycling races of course =) but I have stayed with regular shoes when I play. I'm not that great but your channels are awesome to watch & pick things up to practice. Keep up the great work!
Great video. Would it be possible to get a video on chipping and putting? That’s the biggest struggle in my game. Also, I remember in a video you said Tig has a different grip when putting, can you show that as well? Thanks! Keep up the great content in all the Good Good channels!
Been rly working on distance the past few months and it finally paid off I was at the range today and my club speed went from 102-105 last spring to averaging 115 and carrying the ball like 285 felt amazing
Same size as Tig with less speed. Was hoping you guys could share the driver setup Tig is using. Tried several with similar results. Driver length and loft would be super helpful. Shorter guys tend to really struggle with longer drivers but it’s definitely all about AOA and delivery. Thx guys, keep it up!!
All for this video and it was great - just curious as to why it went from grip setup to how to hit bombs haha. Thought it was sort of a progression of the basics
I was doing a lot of swing with mostly my arms. I was rotating sure, but never using my legs like Tig does. Just last week, I started something new. Slowing my swing down a bit, and making sure to use my legs and the ground more. After a few holes I got it dialed in pretty ok, and noticed that even on my easier shots, ones I wasnt really trying to get after it, I was hitting them just as far as my old shots when I would swing for the fences. This time though, using more of my lower body. Then I brought my arm speed up, rotation speed up, and instant, bombing them 30ish yds or more past even my longest old drives. And it still felt easier. But the next day, my legs and thighs were sore like I did a work out lol.
do an iron body shift cs im struggling to make my iron launch angle low as i always scoop the ball like im holding my driver anyways, love this good good labs channel!!
Love the channel. I appreciate very much Grants swing. I would love to see a video of Grants swing with close ups on his hands and Tigs hands / wrists at full back swing. I feel as though I take a short back swing and do so since it seems I cannot flex my wrist to emulate the club angle at full back rotation. I am sure it is something very simple but I would like to see it. I would also like to see from a side view both players feet width as well. Thx
Love the vids so far and appreciate the tips. Would definitely try and add the swing statistics and everything once you get the equipment. Would love to see the distances and everything on those swings by Tig.
Excellent tips, would've been so much easier to picture in our beginner's head if you could provide some kind of visualization thru some kind of video editing when explaining some key advise ,😁 love the passion of everyone in the video tho
So, Grant's whole demeanor...he could have gotten a lot of resistance by the guys who were already there. "He just got here, and now he's doing all this Lab stuff and all the GM stuff with Garrett...who does he think he is?" But it seems like his personality and quiet confidence, which allows him to be so positive (much like Garrett, but he is the boss, really), is really appreciated
Would be nice to have a sort of outline shown at the end of the key points and tips given in the video. To make the video feel more structured and so we (the viewers) can remember. Great vid nonetheless!
going frame by frame, it's impressive he can keep his leading arm incredibly straight throughout the entire swing. I was fully expecting some flex at the top but there wasn't any noticeable hinge at his elbows. I wish I could do that!
This is GREAT 👍 but for this channel I think the video format should differ from good good videos ie less hand held camera work and more diagrams and text in the video so it’s more formal and then consequently viewers will find the advice and expertise more reliable. But love the content boys 👊
Great content boys, and well explained! How about some super slomos at the end also from down the line? Just on repeat so losers like me can look at some aspect of his swing! 💪
Huge fan of all your videos, the regular and labs. I am 70 and been playing for 60 years. Carried a 1 back in the days of persimmon and blades so I think my swing is reasonably sound. I don't have near the clubhead speed I used to have which is somewhat understandable, but I would at least like to be as long as the other guys in my group and 2 of the guys consistently hit it by me a good ways, which pisses me off. I don't need huge amounts, just another 10 or 15. Any suggestions? Also I hit Mizuno pro 225's which I seem to hit thin some. Do you have a cure for that also? Also, can you have a video on ball way above or below your feet and extreme uphill and downhill lies. Also how to do better out of divots and other squirrelly lies. I especially need to understand better about the ball sitting way up high. How do you hit that shot without going under the ball? Our fairways are Zosia and you get a lot of poofy lies where the ball is sitting up TOO much. Personally, I prefer tight Bermuda.
Big fan of both vids so far. Would love a less zoomed in angle if poss when the guys are explaining technique. Feel like full body view would be easier to digest info. Just my two cents - take it or leave it.
Great suggestions friend. Would love to see that as well.

Long irons are Trouble Best Avoided Whenever Possible. The main part of golf is hitting the flatsticks, the high irons, woods and driver. Well. Consistently.
You cannot do that by releasing the clubhead.
That won't even work with irons.

Great video! Alot of great tips that I haven't heard in other videos. I'm close to the 300 yard mark. Hope these tips get me there. Thx guys!
Love these videos guys! I’m getting dialed just watching them

Wish this got posted a couple hours ago before I went to the range 😅 keep up the good work yall!
Thank you guys so much! Thanks to this I’ve added 30 yards of carry to my drives and become more accurate.
I just got the Taylormade sim max from last year and it helped me gain like 30-40 yards. I was using the taylormade burner from 2007 and I couldn’t believe how much further I hit it. If your driver is older and you have the money, buy a new driver. That will also help, but of course mechanics out rule that no matter what

Learning to load on the right leg but keeping inside of the outside right of foot... Amazing
How would you guys feel about answering public questions with some tips/drills? Lately I’ve been hitting a lot of snap hooks with my driver and I think I’m flipping my hands through the ball. Any drills to help get my hands/club face square through the ball? Great videos!
Thanks for Lesson guys. The grip pressure really helped me today.
Enjoying the labs series so far, but could you also add a couple of drills at the end of each video to help practice what is being taught?
You should make a video on how to get rid of the “flip” of the hands on impact. That’s a huge struggle for me

These tips actually helped me strike my irons more pure too
Gotta love Good Friday!!! Love the channel 🤙

Thx
This was awesome guys. Keep up the good work.
A great video! Hoping that you cover full wedges 100 and in. Really been having issues with clean consistent contact with my short game.
Love these videos. Keep it up! Grant is so easy to learn from
I don’t even play Golf but I listened to every word like I was really going to use it😂 good job guys
Love the vids so far and appreciate the tips. Would definitely try and add the swing statistics and everything once you get the equipment. Would love to see the distances and everything on those swings by Tig.
Amazing video. Thank you for explaining the big muscle use
Excellent tips, would've been so much easier to picture in our beginner's head if you could provide some kind of visualization thru some kind of video editing when explaining some key advise ,😁 love the passion of everyone in the video tho
I'm 5.9 it was a massive help thanks boys
Back to back vids!! Lets go
Hell yes, this video! So many great tips that I can't wait to try. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
Love this. Keep them coming!!!
Good good labs is dyno...mite I mean absolutely best thing since sliced bread you guys are amazing thankyou
Already a big fan of this channel
Absolute animal. I'm a pretty strong guy and I average 280. This is such a powerful swing.
He’s VERY flexible. I’m sure it’s something he works on, in his fitness regimen.
Hands close to your body for speed. Makes total sense. First time I’ve heard this.
This is GREAT 👍 but for this channel I think the video format should differ from good good videos ie less hand held camera work and more diagrams and text in the video so it’s more formal and then consequently viewers will find the advice and expertise more reliable. But love the content boys 👊
Love the vids boys keep it up
Damn here within 30 seconds!! Let's go lads!!
3:10 The jumping up makes the difference!
Great content boys, and well explained! How about some super slomos at the end also from down the line? Just on repeat so losers like me can look at some aspect of his swing! 💪
Might be out for a round tomorrow . gonna try keep it nice n syrpy
Tig is looking shredded, look at those veins!
Great video! Tig's shirt looks pretty dope. Future GG apparel?
Good Good Masters drop
Loving these good good lab vids
