A bit less money on the motor and a bit more on the suspension would have done wonders. Couple of stabiliser bars and some new shocks it'd be a totally different car to drive.

Lemons cars can be bought for more than $500. But you can decrease the cost of the car by selling things you don't need (Trim, Interior, stock seats, window glass, etc. Overall after we were done with preparation our cost cost about $5k. 2. Full firesuits, head and neck restraints, Race shoes, gloves, etc. 1 piece race seat, etc. I'd say that average cost for a cage alone is $2-3k. Personal gear will run about $1000 after you buy everything, and that is for economy type stuff. 3. Cost of entry is about $1400 plus the cost of consumables. 4. There is a strong emphasis on safety and driving safely. Although it makes a cool looking video, no team wants to see their car that they spent thousands of hours on (yes thousands) bent up by someone doing a reckless action. So I'm sure many of the racers there were a bit upset with people that seemingly don't care about the rest of the field. And Lemons drivers are like a big dysfunctional family. 5. There definitely is a culture of obscure and even stupidity in terms of putting in crazy stuff into their car. Active homemade aero? yup. Car with a upside down camaro body on it.. yup. Minivan as a racecar? yup.. but as long as the car is safe, and the drivers don't provide a hazard to others it is accepted. This team didn't live up to the last point. 6. Lemons races are all over the US and even now into Australia. Anyone that puts the money, time and effort into the car can enter to get into a race (They almost always get sold out). 7. This isn't club racing. There are many other cars on the track, various levels of driver skill, and it isn't a sprint race. The team was out of the running at the very beginning. Good teams don't break, and don't make mistakes. A class A team needs to have no failures and no black flags the entire race to potentially be in the running.

The seats alone 5
theyre more....guidelines, than actual rules.
The car itself needs to be purchased for 500 max. That’s all. Little upgrade after that isn’t really wrong. Buy a cheap shell, put a decent v6 or something you got hangin around in it. If you do. Or buy a cheap motor as well.
Now that was fun to watch 👌 I just bought yokohama's like 2 weeks ago and now I see this . Great Job !
500 dollar budget bring out the crate motor haha
1:01 1963 Dodge Dart #13! Great Car. Slant 6 will run forever. Push button transmission, too cool
Who else thinks he should have went with 0199
Miss My buds in BIG ole TEXAS !
Tommy, your good in my book...although you may want to conciser doing the inward journey on a few ankle bitter's. Great team work.
Penalized for spinning out? WTF kind of rules are these?
It's a real danger to everyone else.
Tommy rocking the BRCC! Love it!
Hey random person scrolling down the comments..
Have a wonderful day :)
I love it!
You can't get mad at the team leader for pushing his team.... THAT'S WHAT WINNERS DO!!! 😁👍
"Can't beat a Chevy"
But every car there did....
Lolololol 5:18 is freaking hilarious! Good delivery Travis made my day
break calibers alone on it probably cost $500. Look at that what little they allow you us to see of the front suspension. They spent a lot MONEY on that car. Hmmm. I wonder why they are hated.
Brake Calipers, too or also.
This is the funniest thing I have watched in many years...... Thank you very much for making a little bit of wee come out of me from laughing so hard. You guy's are the best crazy in the world.......One thing I'm taking away from this is....."It wasn't my fault"....... Thank you thank you thank you very much!
Every time a bunch of "racers" come to Lemons, they get schooled!
I think "racers" is took kind. Those were a$$#oles
Except for Randy Pobst....
That guy gets it.
Haha “I was being too awesome so I kept spinning.”
I'm going to say popular opinion based on the comments is...... Tommy had no business being in that car.
That 8:57 squirreling is epic, just epic. Props to Tommy.
Tommy makes too many excuses I can’t stand sore losers like that 🤦♂️
PlayedForever OSHIT Your clearly missing the point. They all know it was his fault, he knows it was his fault. He’s not angrily yelling at other racers, he’s not getting actually mad, he’s playing coy about it because he can. It’s a joke:
I can’t wait for next year that was one hell of a video ✌️😎
Travis so wet over his wife trying to beat tommy lol
So many of these cars look sick!
