    It's so wild that every killer "rework" is based on survivors' opinions of them. Trapper, Freddy, etc never getting reworked no matter how much killers ask for it, but the second survivors decide they don't like playing against Skull Merchant or Knight, well damn, we gotta get right on that. It's so tiresome being told that there's no role preference from the developers.

      Like, I get it - every match is 80% survivor players, 20% killer players by design. It's not a SURPRISE that they preference survivors, they'll always have way more of them. What I hate is the constant gaslighting from BHVR and the community pretending it doesn't happen.

      Even devs don´t have such a thing. They cannot give his guards something what they lack. They simply don´t know what it is so its very obvious that Knight´s guards have same intelligence like BHVR.

    Everybody acts so shocked when the developers make bad decisions. I realized maybe some weeks ago it is in a business’s interest to deliberately make things just enough off balance so people keep talking about the game and buy it. Just look at League for example. Then look at any other game. Some devs don’t do this (TF2, although they’ve been on their own for a long time lol).

      Hot take leagues balancing is actually pretty good considering they have almost 200 characters to keep in check with thousands of diffrent build options that being said they do allow broken things to exist for to long but dbd can’t even manage to balance 30 or so characters

They are legally obligated to make money for the shareholders, not make the game work. That is childish. :) Video games are not the same as a education in corporate law. Either, you are saying they are criminals, in a place not in the Americas, or you didn't factor in Corporate Structure under the law for non-criminal enterprises.

      It’s a buff if you use the guards in any other place than chase, which, this may come as a shock to a lot of people, you can actually get value out of them by having them patrol areas and not just use them as chase tools. Heck, it could be argued you get more value by doing the former

      @@GamingwolfZJ Sounds great, but the problem is the Devs have designed the game so there's no time for that. Waste your patrol a few times without finding someone in a loop and the Knight is finished. Also, you'll then be doing your chases as a solo M1 killer with no help. Good luck with that when you're up against good player gen speeds. His time to down is already way too long as it is. Watch how fast they end up reverting these changes.

    As a P100 Singularity main, most of these changes come together to create a MASSIVE buff.
    - The targeting progress decaying is a MASSIVE buff. If a survivor was being targeted and a branch was in the way, the progress would INSTANTLY be set to zero. This will make slipstreaming survivors A LOT less annoying around certain terrain.
    - They never mentioned doing anything to Soma Family Photo (like they do with other add-ons that are having their effects be partially added) so I think there's a chance it might not be gutted. Even if it is, having a longer default overclock duration will make up for the fact.
    - Having overclock be consistent is HUGE. There are many times where you want to slipstream to another survivor again because of positioning, but can't because you're still in overclock. Having it be a set duration will allow skilled Singularity players to learn the exact timing and play accordingly.
    - Overheat is the effect The Singularity gains when a pallet is dropped on him in overclock. He's slowed, but can still swing and complete actions.
    - A shorter EMP range will help in situations where survivors try to EMP their teammates while in a chase. I'm glad that they weren't gutted entirely because good Singularity players want disabled biopods for techs. If you didn't know, you can switch to a disabled biopod after slipstreaming a survivor, and switch back to avoid the cooldown.
    - Forcing the survivors to actively print the EMP is a lot better than you think. Survivors used to all be able to carry an EMP while each crate also had one printed. It was just too much for most Singularity players to keep up with, mainly against coordinated teams.
    - Survivors having an immunity of 0.35 seconds instead of 2 seconds after using an EMP is MASSIVE. There are many times where a survivor is EMP'd during a chase, and you just want to slipstream them again immediately but aren't able to because of their immunity.
    - With anti-camp being a thing, I think they should've removed his slowdown while near the hook entirely. Though, 1.5 seconds instead of 5 seconds is still extremely good to have.

      But i don't think Massive is also a exaggerated word because without add-ons i honestly think Singularity at all states of the match, he got a chance to turn around and control the pace of the match simply because of your constant pressure with slipstream, slugging is most of the times good for Singularity so with those buffs? I really think that good Singularity players can make those changes way more stronger than people are thinking is going to be.

      @@warlockengineer It's 100% massive if Soma Family Photo doesn't get tweaked. One of his best builds is that add-on with Rapid Brutality, giving him +10% haste after hitting a survivor and slipstreaming to them.

      @@Phantom_Kraken agreed, i never had a problem with aiming because you know where the biopod is going to be aimed at so you can flick easily to hit the surv, but idk, maybe the biopod is only going to fix it's aim at the survivor and then you need to do the rest of the tracking

    😢Not my knight .. for some weird reason i was hoping they give us the great moonlight sword. 😢iam so sad.. it was fun sending the the guard and let the guard chase while u following to get the Finisher.

      Not fun for the survivors tho. You haven't even tried this knight update, and already deciding not to play him. Maybe after all he won't be that bad. At least survivors hopefully are not going to be so upset if facing the Knight, that's imo really important (i'm killer main btw)

      Sorry bud, but this change is needed. Knight was not designed to be an anti-loop killer. His guards were designed for utility and not ending chases for free. The Assassin guard was the only guard with chases put into mind. Carnifex and Jailer were intended to be used as utility.

    Knight was supposed to be strong because he could have two killers chasing the same survivor. Now, knight is all about being annoying and using his ability solely for the purpose of pushing survivors away from gens for 10 seconds (until jailer banner spawns)
    i can't stand these developers taking skill away from EVERYTHING

      I really like this and hope they keep going. They should focus more on killers where you can actively use your power to chase survivors like wesker and blight. Skull merchant and knight always just seemed very boring to me because you just plop down your thing and let it do the work for you.

    The devs are designing a game for 100k different people. This is an asymmetircal game so you can't compare it to other 5v5ish type competitive games. No one plays singulairty so they are trying to get more people to play. Knight has minimal counter so they are trying to add more skill

    Btw, I believe the singularity targeting decay thing (the second bullet in the singularity kit) is actually a massive buff rather than a nerf. It seems to take like a second to slipstream a survivor, but currently they can break line of sight and completely instantly reset the slipstream progress. This bullet sounds like a survivor can break line of sight, but if they pop back into line of sight before half a second, you will slip stream them faster than a second. Kinda like it’s a trickster knife count

      @GamingwolfZJ he is literally S tier right now. A tier at worst, but many people really just dont know how to play him well. His potential is incredible when he is used properly.
      I just spent roughly 15million bloodpoints collecting every Call to Arms add-on I could and now I see this news, meaning I wasted all of that time and gameplay, when I could have spent them on a different killer.
      I'm pissed.

    I am worried about the babysitter change. combined with bt it might be possible to guarantee an escape in end game from anywhere on the map now, and even mid game this combination might be busted as hell, having 117% speed for 20s and 107% for 10 more seconds

Knight was a very unhealthy killer for the game because of his dumb chase mechanics. Now his guards actually need to be used the way they were intended to be used.       @@therealnoob4738 Easy to counter you say. Yeah, easy to counter a bad Knight. A good Knight will almost always deadzone you if they know what they're doing. You will die eventually, and that's not a good mechanic to play around. Also this game is balanced around medium MMR, not just the top bracket. Average survivors will get stomped by even bad Knights because of the brainless aspect of just spamming guards at loops. It's not good game design.

      I agree.
      I think a lot of the commenters here just W with every killer so their run times are all just about the same. But when you can loop killers there's a disparagement between Knight and every other killer in the game. Most killers will give up if a survivor tricks them 2 or 3 times. You never see that happen with Knights.
      They just need to learn how to use the Knights power for map pressure. You can break pallets during chase. If you're good with survivor pathing you can catch survivors running to safety while you go to check on the gens.
      And before someone goes saying I'm a survivor main, I have played all my killers through 3 prestige levels (at least the ones I prestige after the system change). I do enjoy, and play, killer as much as I do survivor.

    The Knights gameplay was actually no-brained before this change. Just dropping a guard at a loop and either forcing w to another pallet or getting an easy hit. Being able to chose your units is what Knight should have been on release, it allows much more strategy with placement and type. And yes, the penelty for being close is big, but most situations where you're that close to a hunted survivor are ending in a hit anyways. Once killers adapt to the new strategies with his kit, i think you'll see some amazing possibilities with strategies and multi-tasking. And as for singularity, this is a massive buff overall, I'm confused as to why you are unsure on the haste being a buff or not. It wasn't even a feature of Overclock before without an addon. Overall, these killer changes sound pretty solid and will very much add some more engaging gameplay with these killers.

    With this I feel like BHV doesnt understand which add ons are "necessary" and other are "Fan favorite". Map of the realm is a necessary add on because the base range is pathetic and even with that the detection may fail because how the units spawn. People don't use those kind of add ons because they are fun but because the killer is way worse to play without it.

      I think you are taking their language a bit to literally my friend. For the second part of your statement, the reason people use map of the realm is because by default, the detection circle is too slow to catch anyone where as with map of the realm is expands seemingly faster because it has to reach its range within a certain amount of time, thus being able to catch people shit+w-ing away.

    Guys you can still pincer people with knight. Remember the hunt only decreases faster if youre right beside your guard, not the Survivor themselves. You just need to be in front of the Survivor and not beside the guard which was always the correct way to do it anyway.

      So what happens when that's not the case as well as when the direction that the survivor goes lines you to be close to guard which is damn near every time what then? Pull out a guard again for 4 secs? It says within 8 meters so if you're using a guard in chase it's practically useless. If you use them without being around it's still USELESS. They're just going to outrun them. I'd see if they made the guards faster, but no. So what is it actually good for and mind you this is why he's so weak in the first place

      Iron Will still has the exhaustion downside, so it won't be as OP as before since, to use it for a full chase, you can't use anything like Lithe, DH or whatever else you usually run in the chase. You have to run Iron Will on it's own.

      Im with you. How Tru3 can call this a simplification of the Knight is beyond me. There's no simpler gameplay than current Knight plopping out a guard at every loop until the surv reaches a map corner or dead zone. We will see how Knight works with those changes, but nevertheless its at least an attempt at fixing his extremly boring optimal gameplay loop.

    the singularity decaying thing is not a nerf but a buff, it's almost the same time as before but instead of completely getting back to 0 after 0.3s (as it is now) it decays over time after 0.25s, which is better. And yea as you said it's very console oriented, using Singularity on console is much much harder than it is on computer, and the best console singularity will never be able to be as good as computer singularity, ig it's to make the game more balanced on all platforms

    The bipods r gonna be like Blight’s bump that auto aims, it’ll only auto aim when u take control of the pod then u can move it, also biopods now instantly get rid of progress after losing line of sight, now theirs a decay so if u get line of sight again it’s not starting over again from nothing, also overheat is when Singularity gets stunned by a pallet and slowed down

      Yea, camera will snap to the survivor when you enter so you don't have to worry about camera being turned in the wrong direction but then you'll control it normally.
      Also "shooting biopod aim assist" doesn't mean that your mouse will follow the target but when you hover over a valid target and then move slightly off, your reticle will stay locked in for a moment so you won't end up shooting multiple times without placing anything because of the weird geometry that didn't allow you to miss even by inch.
      Since "placing aa" is buffed and "survivor aa" is new, I'd assume that survivors will probably have a higher priority so your reticle won't stuck on a random obstacle when trying to teleport to someone.

I am a terrible survivor player and I know to just shift W to the next loop. This is ridiculous. Also who is betting most of this won't go through, especially the hook change.     They made all of these changes to knight, but they didn't do the very simple quality of life of making the orb spawning closer to you so you can actually spawn the damn orb!
    I'm sick and tired of a blade of grass stopping me from being able to use my power as Knight all the edge of a wall or some Bush which is literally like a meter away from me Just interrupting my ability to even spawn the orb!
    Also they should of done the 3x chase decay OR the 8 meter rule.
    Both is gunna kill him.
    I would prefer only the 8 meter.
    The only way these 2 changes are actually fair is if they get rid of the banner completely.
    Because as it stands you're only gonna get value from the guard if they are away from where you are and if you're constantly using them miles away from you that means you can never stop people from getting to the flag meaning chase times of Guards are gonna be between five to ten seconds depending on the guard REGARDLESS if you are close to the guard or not because they will be able to to just loop the dumb guard for 5 to 10 seconds to grab the un protected banner!
    The only way the banner not be farmed like crazy is if they change the banner spawn at the KNIGHTS current location when a hunt gets triggered this would naturally push the survivor towards The Killers location to stop the knight's guard from chasing them, thennnnn the whole 3x chase decay can kill the guard pretty much as you will be close by to the guard that has pushed them towards the banner and now you are in a 1v1 chase with the survivor as an M1.
    THIS is a healthy change. As they have it right now. Knights guards are just gunna get banner farmed harder or guards being deleted due to you trying to head off banner plays making it die 3x faster because you are close by
    Absolutely dead at high MMR, still gunna noob stomp people who don't collect the banners ever at low MMR
    All he will be used for is walking through pallets like a wanna be lich with the chunky guard.
    I hope this goes into a test and not forced into live.

      ​@@TimmyDatooth-fr5dfYou can only use the strategy of putting the guard running towards a survivor and they will just press "W" and ez escape from the guard, bcs if you try to get closer the action of the guard will end 3× faster, you cant anti-loop anymore since you can just spawn a guard 10 meters away from you and a survivor can easily escape from a loop and go to other, and at the end you cant zone the survivors anymore because like I told you up there, if you're 8 meters from the guard his action will end 3× faster.. he lost his only 2 strategies that made him playable and are forcing us to play a strategy that everyone knows it doesnt work.
      Even if the Knight can choose the guards they just did it to make people see it as a buff and it worked, people like you think its a buff but its not, they just put that shit like Vecna to hide the nerfs they did to Knight.

    Knight is going to be trash, i read the detailed ptb, i watched matches, and god...he has nothing to do in a loop. absolutely nothing. if the survivor is stupid and they predrop, you get to do a fancy break, but otherwise, you are forced to cancel out with the new option on the secondary power button (but you will be wasting time on the animation of going in, canceling, going out...), or draw a 10 meter path for no reason

    2:16 The knight can easily zone you into an area that is unwinnable when dropping the guard at his feet. Rarely do you get the luxury of making to anything while avoiding the guard and Knight typically your being sandwiched at a loop and just die.

      What i do is as soon as i get to a line of sight blocker i shift w in a way which the knight cant see you until he angles himself a certain way. So he is just guessing if you have left the loop or staying. Its boring gameplay but it is counterplay

    I think the update is weak at best most comments are ppl that's mad about iron will being reverted basically so its ok if the killer can move around the map silent but no way should survivors be silent after a hit that's just not fair huh just stop crying put on another aura reading perk and move on let the game play itself like most do now

    @35.03 I'd pay money to see a statistic of how often a destroyed hook actually resulted in a dead zone that actually prevented a hook. Was it 5% of all games? 3%? Acting like something that almost never happened is one of the great issues of the game is the most typical chicken-little take. I genuinely want to see this data. Even with sabo, the killer just turns around and goes to another hook unless you have three Survivors saboing hooks, which means they're NOT on gens, which helps the killer anyway. Also, you can just bleed them out. Why are we acting like this SUPER RARE situation is this SUPER AWFUL mechanic? Seriously, if someone tracks their games and shows this happens more than 7% of the time, I'll delete this comment and admit I'm wrong, but I doubt (1), someone will take that challenge and (2) that it happens more than 7% of the time. We're freaking out over something that impacts a Killer main less than 10% of the time when Survivors only actually escape 35-48% of the time? Another question: What is it exactly that WOULD satisfy you? Would you feel better if the Survivors just spawn on hooks? One minute you're saying skill expression is dead, but then EVERY other comment how Survivors (who, again, LOSE 52-65% of the time) have their hands held? How does that make logical sense? So really, what would satisfy you as a win rate? Killers already win on average of 45% of the time or better (that's pure 3K or better). But Killers can tie? They can still beat 2 out of 4 Survivors. Killers only LOSE some 33% of the time (according to Nightlight statistics). What, do you want to NEVER lose? So Survivors only exist for the amusement of Killers. Their job is to die exactly how much more often? So much so that the 7% of the time they have some way to combat something (assuming a "skilled" killer somehow FORGETS he can just LEAVE the Survivor on the ground to die) has to be taken out of the game? I'm not actually annoyed at this change in and of itself. I'm annoyed at just HOW MUCH Killers actually want their hands held (don't take my hooks. Let me see auras all the time. Don't let them do gens. (True stats, all gens get completed 45-65% of the time, but Survivors STILL LOSE half of the time those gens get done. Therefore, gen speed CAN'T LOGICALLY be an issue if even when they're all done, the Killer STILL 2Ks or better some 56% of the time). So I'm honestly looking for the answer to this one question that sums up this whole data-dump: Just how little is it you want to lose? Or are ties so bad and Killers so entitled that only wins matter. In that case the question is what is the target win rate? Should you win 70% of the time? How much should you win because the game tilts so many things in your favor? Again, EVERY comment I made here is based on ACTUAL statistical data. This isn't "that one game where Eternal beat my brains out." This isn't the 20% of the time Tru3 loses (actual stat). It's the 80% of the time he ties or better (70% WIN rate if you're curious). Would the game be "good." If you or he just never lose? Survivors just run around and die for your entertainment? Then it's not a game; it's an exercise in ego inflation.

      The hook change was good because on some maps with awkward or sharp corners there would be few hooks. If a group of skilled survivors play on those kind of maps and they feel they will go down they just run to the furthest corner with the least hooks to make the killer travel further then if they went down in a random spot. If one or 2 people got sacrificed in that corner now the killer can't hook anyone if they go down there. It's not to hand hold killers or make it easier it's a simple quality of life change. If anything I guess this is a buff to scurge perks unless they wanna make them not come back because the biggest downside on em besides the unpredictability was once they are gone they were gone. And yeah slugging is def the option in that situation but it's the fact that you are being denied a hook and the devs just don't want that kind of situation which I agree with. If I see lobbies with 3-4 toolboxes I tend to bring a hook offering to decrease the odds of a dead zone entirely

    As a console singularity main I think auto target cameras sounds awful and takes away a lot of skill I would be very upset if it makes it to live.
    Everything else I’m fine with because getting that haste and increased overclock is pretty massive (not even mentioning everything else).

      @@brefy not to mention. Im not sure if you're smart enough to break down how heavily audio is relied on for tracking in general, how often does a killer find someone based solely on grunts of pain? Because for me personally, that's a consistently a feature in my games on either side.

    The singularity thing is not a nerf, cause the decay right now is instant, so now they are adding almost a second of time to the decay giving you more time to track them even if you lose line of sight of the survivor.

    Iron will got nerfed a while back when they did the perk overhaul. So many perks were nerfed and buffed. It was all based on how often they were used

    New Knight is this: Send Guard to pressure one surv and chase a second one. It's heavily punished if you try to double chase. Carnifex is mostly used to break walls, pallets, and gens, While Jailer and Assassin are the chasers. Assassin can get a fast hit if they don't play right, while Jailer will distract for longer.

    This guy doesn't understand. If you drop a guard instantly at a loop when a survivor corners themselves, and there isn't another pallet near by, and the survivor doesn't have an exhaustion perk, or a teamate to take the hit, or a styptic, or a way to grab the banner. Then there is basically no counterplay. Clearly the knight needed a nerf he was almost a B tier killer. /s

    3:15 It's impossible to have the entire duration to be shortened because guards spawn away from you and you can no longer spawn guards on you. It also only affects hunt time not patrol time.
    12:35 It's not a nerf. It's a buff. Currently you lose progress instantly when losing line of sight. Now it will decay.
    23:20 Survivors could do it already because you would see which boxes are open with the aura.

    Iron Will revert back to 100% is insane. 75% was already so good. It was such a healthy perk. The sound in this game is already so terrible that many survivors at 75% sounded close to 100%. This perk has been meta for years. So much for shaking up the meta. After it’s slight nerf, people exaggerate that it was terrible. The real reason people didn’t use iron will anymore was because off the record was created. Now every survivor can run around 100% mute with dead hard in their pocket or 20 sec background player. So ridiculous. 🙄👊

    @25:41 Why is a -.25 decay to targeting a nerf worth several mentions as if it punishes mouse users and makes their lives seemingly that difficult, but a FULL SECOND added to Overclock is "negligible"? Why is something negative to the killer so "punishing," but anything that helps the killer is (based on your comments) hardly worth mentioning? It doesn't make logical sense. .25 is .25, and 1 is one. One is greater, so logically the smaller number is the more negligible number. It's just math. Also, Survivors have ALWAYS been able to see auras, and they've ALWAYS been able to see auras of completed printing, the ONLY actual change is the aura is yellow instead of white.

    20:04 Nope, that’s not small: The RADIUS decreased from 10 to 8. But you’re dealing with a SPHERE. That means you have to CUBE the radius to see the volume. And it turns out that you lose ~HALF the volume of the sphere when you go from 10 to 8. It’s a huge nerf to survivor EMPs.
