I swear, entitled ones that don't get out of their bubbles and just remain cringe and whiners 24/7. I play both sides, and enjoy it. I don't gotta take a side where one is like the enemy field but God forbid, it's majority of Survs I see crying over small things
Every time a survivor player says 'as a killer main I never need to play like this to win' they are lying, it's the clearest signal they hardly ever play killer and opinions about the killer role are completely irrelevant.
True plus when you barely play killer your MMR will be pretty low so you can get a 4k at 4 gens with no perks without tunneling or camping. I know cuz I’ve done it myself lol low mmr is a joke
@@Vgomes-go6ht yeah I came back to game recently after a 2 year break. It was comically sad how easy it was to just shit on people while getting my MMR back up. Didn't take that long to run into 4 man P100 SWFs again though and now every match is against depressing players with thousands of hours juicing any weak killer I play or if I try to use any sort of meme build.
I'll never understand the constant level of seething rage some people play this game with... If you have it, realize that it is holding you back from overcoming situations that make you rage. DBD is a game that will only make you angrier, if you're already pissed off.
I understand where you are coming from. but most people will be mad for the moment and will let it pass a forget it. the ones who prod and provoke people to keep getting angrier are just as bad. It’s easier to just drop it and move on
Ppl think the game makes their life mean more, certain ppl never did anything in life or had any sort of social life, so they get a power trip from games as it’s the ONLY way they get any more of social activity EVER go ask these ppl to go outside on the street and give the exact same energy they give when infront of a camera, garuntee it crumbles quick
The player base will always be angry. That's what happens when you make pvp asimertical. Players are angry in games that are a lot more balanced why shouldn't they be here. Devs should decide if they wanna keep it casual or competitive. If they want to be competitive than forget the 60% killrate. If you wanna be casual buff fun gameplay or nerf unfun gameplay to hell.
The majority of the dbd community has a lot of mental illness. I'd say what seems to be the core fan base of dbd suffer from mental illness.@@eatyourash5571
If this change is stupid because there are always available hooks 3 feet away even if some are broken then why do they care so much about the change? According to them it won't change anything because it's always so easy to hook everywhere even with broken hooks. These people probably thought it was killer sided and unbalanced when they removed permanent sabotage all those years ago lol.
@@hinro Not true, sabo is all about positioning, timing and hook RNG and in the right circumstance you can save someone and let them wiggle off and run away yourself. It's just harder to pull off than a flashlight save.
Bhvr kicked you from fog whispers even tho it didn’t do shit for you because a guy accused you of being an ableist with only evidence being you doing a funny voice but bhvr will most likely let this girl walk with a slap on the wrist and her community won’t see she was wrong with her terrible bhvr. I’ve said in a past video I understand getting salty or upset but to take it outside to endgame chat YOU need help and need to look at YOURSELF in the mirror because that’s not normal bhvr.
Peanuts is where BHVR derailed..back when it was just Mcote+NotQueen+Dave and when they did weekly devstreams those were the golden days yeah game had bugs but they were sincerely working on it and there was none of this agenda pushing crap.
@@MillieDuu yeah it is, can understand him being a little worried about his acc with probably thousands of hours and dedication being taken away because some big streamer got mad at him. he just didn't know they hold no more power than him.
I literally had a 4K turn into a 3K cause there were no hooks near the gate, the Leon I had downed was close enough to crawl out when downed, closest hook was too far away for me to hook him, he had flip-flop and unbreakable, so what am I supposed to do? Take a chance on him bleeding out through some miracle?
It's almost like he should have gotten away because you had no other options or something. Dude was in a dead zone and still needed 2 perk slots to get away from you. God forbid a killer doesn't get a 4k, despite a 3k already being a win. I hope such a horrible thing never happens to you again
The answer here is that was never a 4K to begin with. It's not a kill until the game says so. Your mistake is assuming that them being downed means they are already a kill, and then acting as if them escaping after being downed is the game 'taking that kill away from you'. That's not true. It's simply an unfortunate situation where their perks did their job and allowed them to escape. You weren't robbed of anything.
I think this will be a good change. I played against three TTVs in a SWF tonight as Freddy (not sure how I got in their lobby - I have less than 400 hours in the game across both killer and survivor and I am not very good). I had to slug one as he kept running to a dead zone, plus they brought sabo, boil over and flashlights - I tried twice and then on the third time, I just let him bleed out in the end game and secured a second kill, so it was a tie. They were salty in the post-game chat saying that not being able to hook because it was a dead zone "is a you problem". He ran there so that I couldn't hook him, so I did exactly that - didn't hook him. I don't really get how this change is bad for survivors. It will mean less slugging due to dead zones. Logic is hard for some people, I guess.
Man, if you come into the game knowing that your whole team is doing sabo and altruism, then you pretty much expect to be slugged. I have done it with friends (and usually we talk shit about scummy killers otherwise). We don't care what the killer does because we are playing an annoying playstyle that we will 100% lose anyway.
I didn't even think of the implication of comp corner/deadzones yet and I have been following Tru3 and the DbD drama for some time now. They literally go to a place, where the Killer cannot hook them and then get surprised when the Killer does not hook them. How stupid is that? So you make a play that will, if played to their advantage on both sides, annoy the Killer and waste some time, but not net you any advantage, unless you have organised teammates. At face value this is a low risk/low reward or no advantage stall play, yet they expect their opponent to make their play into a high advantage play? Absolutely delusional from a competitive standpoint. If you are "petty" enough to make this play (on your own, like a last man standing situation) you should expect your opponent to be "petty" enough not to give you FREE ADVANTAGE state, simple as.
True, hope you see this comment because i have a question. I've been watching you from the early days of DbD and enjoyed most of your content throughout the years. I don't comment often but i do watch your content a lot. I wanted to ask why do you give people like these attention? I mean, they are either trolls who wants attention, some people with little to no understanding of both sides of DbD and there are some who are just quite literate to grasp some basic concepts of existence. Giving them attention is nothing more than speaking to an insect around your house. It is meaningless. Please do not feed their ego or imbecilic mindset of theirs.
I legit have not had a single upload from tru pushed to me by RUclips in years. I haven't actually watched any dbd content in around that same amount of time, though I just got this video recommended to me today. And now I want to watch some more of his recent videos to see how he plays vecna lol. And i completely understand, unfortunately RUclips prefers drama content over other stuff a lot of the time. Tru needs to make money and he honestly actually does put in work to make a valid point. So this vid is a lot better than the 100% drama focused channels that just seem to spend every day being angry.
this reminded me a bit of one of my first games ever in DBD. I played as I think Trapper against a team of saboteurs/flashlight savers and I didn't really get what was happening (this was maybe my 20th killer game and i had almost no knowledge of how items/perks worked) so I just stopped trying to hook people lol. eventually knocked all 4 down and just let them bleed out 'cause i figured that's what you were supposed to do maybe? they were all saying shit in end game chat and i was just like "sorry i'm new, did i do something wrong???" they probably thought i was fucking with them haha. the slugging system is kind of dumb but getting this upset about it and directing your anger to the player rather than the game itself is wild to me.
Man people like that are not cool. Funny thing is, "bully squads" who dont let you hook and don't do the gens are technically keeping you hostage haha. While slugging is still progressing the game because they will run out of life.
Whats funny is a surv main will play killer for a couple of matches and dominate cuz their MMR is so low and say, "see, told ya playing killer without camping, slugging, or tunneling is easy." Absolute morons. 🤣
Hooks respawning doesn't make it better for the Killer it just stops both sides from having a bad time. Killers don't want to have to slug people, and survivors don't want to be slugged.
I tunneled the shit out of a fog whisper once, they said I would be banned. Well, nothing happened. It was hilarious af. I doubt bvhr would ban a paying customer 😂
I don't care what their status is. Fog whisperer, consultant, I don't even care if they are a dev. I'm playing the game how I play the game, and that's all there is to it.
There are so many changes necessary for both Killer and Survivor to make them fun. But as someone who Mains Survivor. Playing high level Survivor is such a different feeling as compared to playing High Level Killer. With Survivor it really feels like things are swinging one way or the other. And sure, things can change suddenly but the Positive Momentum of Survivor feels so much more permanent, and the lows are so much more admissible. “I wish that Chase was better, but everyone is split on gens so it should be fine.” 😮💨 Whereas with Killer, even when you’re winning, there’s this desperate urge to finish the game. “They’re all deathook, but I’m not in Chase rn and there’s 2 gens left and I know they’re split on them.” Stuff like that. The pressure is so much more real, and Killer momentum feels so fleeting. 1 Survivor can steal a Killer momentum with a pallet stun or flashlight save. But most Killers can only ever truly disable 1 Survivor at a time. Maybe that’s just me. (I don’t have amazing micro as Killer but I’ve been playing for 8 years so my Macro is well enough that I can get by). My feels of success as a high level Survivor are so joyous. But my feelings of success as a Killer against high level Survivors is relief and tiredness. It’s too stressful. 😭
Absolutely nothing wrong with getting upset at a video game. I agree it's annoying to be bled out and I wish a killer would let me wiggle off and try to get me again, but that's the game, nothing against the player it's just a sucky situation. The second you take it out of the game and insult/threaten/try to get people banned makes you a disgusting human being. And the massive egos of some of these players makes them blind to anything being their fault or their lack of game understanding.
Removing hook respawns was stupid when it was announced and for some reason years later, the Devs decide to undue it. Everyone knows dead zones are an issue yet Behavior allowed this to continue for a long time. Being threatened with a ban without a defense can be stressful if you ask me and knowing Behavior for making stupid decisions it can take a toll on a person. From my perspective being banned for being innocent is a terrible thing, especially since playing this game involves your time and money. Imagine playing this game for years a losing everything and the fact this is a live service game... brutal stuff. I'll lose my shit too, especially since there's no laws against companies from taking your purchases without a legit reason (The Digital Age).
Where are you having all these games where deadzones are even an issue? Its rare from what I see. If it's such a problem for you then put an anti wiggle perk. I like the rare times it happens, adds some excitement, something different, even funny a lot of the times compared to other matches at least. Why even bother having boil over or anti wiggle perks if they're just going to coddle everyone. If you don't like dead zones then don't create them in the first place, that used to be part of this crazy thing in games called "strategizing". But apparently for the DBD community expecting them to plan ahead or use their brains is unacceptable and mean.
@@kltil5082Your point is well taken, and I agree, that it does, occasionally, make for more interesting/exciting matches. However, “strategic hooking” is really a bit much, most of the time. Especially, on occasions where you’re playing against saboteurs. Killers have enough to worry about (downing a survivor, picking them up, while avoiding a potential flashlight/pallet save, etc), let alone scanning the map, and taking the survivor to the “correct hook”, to avoid creating dead zones
@@kltil5082 killers don't create dead zones the devs did. This isn't rare either. You're blaming killers for using hooks that get broken and then blaming them for not seeing the future. Maybe just don't go down in a deadzone? Don't get mad when you get slugged.
@@kltil5082yes they are rare and the only outcome or thing you can do to win when someone is in a dead zone is to legit slug them. Killers unless they have painres. Will always hook to the nearest one and in the rare case all survivors go down in the same area. Either the survivor has to accept faith and not wiggle or just bleed out.
And then people will gaslight you into thinking that SWF groups are super duper rare yet simultaneously saying the game is boring while playing solo q lmao Pop on any streamer playing DBD and they will almost always be playing with a friend. It also doesn’t matter if they’re goofing around because even if they’re giving each other minimal information, it’s still loads better than exchanging no information. Survivors seem to have some weird cognitive dissonance about slugging. If you are purposefully doing it just to piss off survivors that sucks. But Ive had whole teams run into a dead zone and then get mad and send messages when I dont let them wiggle away for free.
Of cause hooks coming back is a good thing for everybody. Its not fun having to wait it out if you are in dead zone no matter if your killer or survivor
I’ve already seen tiktok videos on people complaining about this change happening, it’s sad but if people were to actually think it’s good for both sides
@@aMissingPerson_ if its a pallet that disappear after putting it down so you have to stun the killer it could potentially work. That said of cause its not the same thing. For a similar comparison killer would have to be able to permanently destroy/block a gen so you have to find another gen to repair
The thing is you've been a fog whisperer so you know the ins and outs. From the outside in, you just know they have direct access to devs, a discord where they can report people and get people banned (who are cheating) pretty quickly and more importantly you are fairly large so it's not something you'd ever need to worry about. If you're just a player and you don't know the exact ins and outs, you just know fog whisperers have direct connections to devs it would be pretty scary prospect having one of them report you. I do find it hilarious they took away Dowsey's shirts but they literally endorse people who act like that.
@JordanHance he called them out on their bad decisions such as kills = skill and if a survivor dies then that person has no skill. He even called them out on nerfing killers that he plays just to be petty
Making it detectable from a longer range would be good enough at least for me. Usually I'm looking to chase the last survivor into it and can never find the damn thing unless it spawns under my feet. Which is funny as hell when its mid chase.
I had this happen recently on the new map. There were sparse hooks in the dungeon area of the map, and I unfortunately had destroyed one killing another. The final survivor was running Boil Over, intentionally running me to the lowest part of the area so I couldn't hook them. I slugged and let them bleed out. They proceed to shit talk me and leave a comment on my profile: "-rep absolute dogshit, slugs because they dont know how to hook and camps? tf get good 😂so sad get a life atleast I know how to play unlike someone needing to pick onryo a no skill killer wahwah poor baby". Onryo? No skill killer? Post-nerfs? They know exactly what they did. Absolutely insane lmao.
I had a similar situation, but I downed all 4 survivors on the left side of the dungeon. So I could hook 2 people, and I slugged the other 2. They were not happy, even though they made the mistake of SABOING THE ONLY HOOK when I picked up FORCING me to drop and slug. They weren't happy with me, and honestly, I couldn't care 😂😂😂
it has been years since I played, I played a bit of both sides, back when it was unbalanced as hell, Survivors when I got home from work to relax, Killer when I was getting ready for work to get into the mindset, it is MUCH more balanced now but ffs dead zones were always a problem, I used them against REALLY toxic killers but some people just abused it EVERY time they could
30:20 If I'm being honest, there will always be people who doesn't know what kind of benefits a Fog Whisperer has. They'll think they can get banned because a Fog Whisperer says so because they don't know that Fog Whisperers doesn't hold that power, I can't blame the guy
I had a swf bringing the less hook offering, and toolboxes, everytime I downed a surv, they came to sabo the remeaning hooks around me, ended up having to slug and tunnel. And in the end they called me a bad player and some terrible gamer words. Classic real classic. What they dont realize is THEY brought the offering, and THEY brought the sabo toolboxes for this kind of game. But im the villan for slugging... Just cant win an argument with these people.. 🥲🥲
The worst thing is, so many people are defending her on Twitter, which is just crazy. All saying "Brave for apologizing" and all that BS. If there was no YT video of her being toxic, she would continue to carry on.
What blows my mind is NOBODY told the "whens the update where survivors cant 3 gen themself?" Person it was patch 7.5.0. Theyre literally complaining for something ALREADYY ADDED
17:06 However I will point out the kind of unhinged person this TTV was dealing with will use "clipping" as their greatest weapon since they can clip a vod out of context to make them only seem like a victim when they are the aggressor. Crazy people out there.
The irony that they seriously think the game isn’t in their favour. I’ve stopped trying to convince them because they’re genuinely so far gone they can’t see it. I remember seeing a survivor main say “I report every killer that slugs, and I report the killer for exploiting the hatch mechanic” by hatch mechanic they meant when you slug the 3rd survivor so the hatch doesn’t spawn so you can get the 4K… like they just decided that’s exploiting.
I don’t see why people are making this as big of a deal as it is anyways, what is hook respawning really changing? 90% of the time, killers make it to a different hook even if the closest one to them is broken. And if they don’t, you just get slugged, and die anyways, which results in boring gameplay, and survivors complaining that they’re being slugged. This is simply one of those moments where survivors are crying for literally no reason.
bro if the killer killed 3 and downed the fourth one they won the game at that point its just healthy for the game if they dont need to slug for 4k. the survivor doesnt deserve to win if they got completely trashed. she doesnt deserve a free win just because theres an unintended dead zone with the hooks
See, but, how is it an "unintentional" dead zone when it's worked like this for....how long? Was there ever a time where hooks didn't perma die after final sacrifice?
The same people complaining about this change are the same people who complain about being slugged to death because they ran Boil over, Flip flop, unbreakable, and breakdown. Also this person my be freaking out but the main thing is how many times has this Fog Whisperer done this to other small streamers? How many times has she Weaponized her position as a Fog Whisperer to threaten other small streamers all because they did something she didn't like?
The twitter community having influence on this game and the devs being how they are is why this game is a sink hole for it's genre. This genre will never grow, the player base has been nurtured by this dev team to destroy the genre unless you like dragon ball cause The Breakers is the only other game i can think of when it comes to asymmetricals and dragon ball is bigger than anything else and thank god for that.
If they are actually a dev they shouldn’t have the right to threaten you with a ban, whoever that person is should be penalized for that if they’re a dev, that’s not cool. Great video btw 💙🫡.
The funny thing I noticed recently watching true’s DBD is. The dev try to make the game more casual, like by adding UI like chasing prompt on survivor icon. (On base) But they haven’t make the “this survivor already got hook to white hook” yet(the easy solution is probably either show it on survivor icon or change its color from white to something else to let killer know that “this survivor already got hook on white hook”) But no, killer had to memorize it if they use that perk. Like, it doesn’t have to show hook state if they want to do “anti tunnel” mindset but not giving information for killer own perk is really silly.
yeah, I kinda understand the not “showing hook stage” to counter tunnel (even it’s still silly) But not even giving killer the information of their own perk(which is one time thing iirc?, the regression only happen with first hook of each survivors and bonus regression for all gen if you can hook all survivors with white hook) is just beyond dumb. I rmb true used to try to rmb if he hooked this survivor on white hook yet at first but now, he just gave up and mostly just rmb hook stage now(which he still failed to cuz he had to check chat while playing the game as streamer) more information to memorize every match is just putting burden on yourself for no good reason except being full sweaty which is tiring.
@@sitachan5778 personally I don't mind the memorization but I just want similar mechanics for survivors. Disinformation and misinformation was a large part of early dbd. Allowing you to capitalize on mistakes both killer and survivors. However discord and solo que HUD have sapped away the power of those tactics. I don't think survivors should know if another survivor is in chase unless thry want to spend a perk or item slot. But just knowing that you are safe and can tunnel a Gen isn't fun for the killer nor suspenseful for the survivor.
As for the misconception about the whisperer thing.. I think it partially has to do with how one specific fog whisperer, who was IRL friends with Cote.. And what they would do to try and get people banned.. There was a big backlash though when it was found out what was going on about that. But as mentioned, there was a backlash when people found out about it. Not as big as it should have been, but still happened.
Honestly the whole fog whisper program shouldn’t be a thing I remember I went against paulie ester as trickster on doctors map and he got all mad calling me names for playing trickster and being a really negative person. Like it’s a game I got you big deal grow up dude is a literal man child who is crying over going down to my trickster in dbd. Like really?
Keeping people hostage isn't as intended, that's why it's under the report option. Wiggle offs and having the skill to down them a second time would be playing the game as intended however, also way more realistic to a movie killer's behavior. They don't stand over someone for 10 minutes boring the audience, if someone gets away from them they go on the attack again until they're dead. There's no reason to slug over one person left. If he's so pressed about getting a 4k win instead of a 3k win that the 1% chance of a survivor getting off then dodging hatchets/melees and just happening to find the hatch before you get another easy down on them...that he thinks the game should come to a stand still because he as a KILLER is too scared to act aggressively.. Then yeah, that's a waste of everyone's time. He is playing huntress on top of it and would barely even have to move to get an easy second down. If he doesn't have the basic skill to do that he honestly does not deserve the 4k. The survivor who played strategically to go to a place where they knew a broken hook was, then was skilled enough to dodge hatchets, then lucky enough to find the hatch would have deserved the escape. Hooks respawning everywhere is going to be repetitive and boring. Deadzones weren't even used in like 99% of the games I play as killer, it's such a non issue. And as survivor I don't think I've ever had anyone slug me when I'm the last one left unless they were purposely being dicks. That's so petty over making sure a survivor has a 0% chance of getting an escape as opposed to a 1% chance. Which is about what that survivor had here of escaping given that it was a huntress and how far the hatch was.
I hadn't even thought of the fact that the hooks respawning means that there will be almost no reason to bleed survivors out. About the only scenario where this could still be the only reasonable solution would be to prevent a survivor from getting Hatch in the case of an Adept achievement, but even then BHVR could just make it require 3 kills and suddenly that wouldn't be a thing anymore. Either way this is undeniably a good change for the game.
20:50 killer favored right?, if bhvr favors killers then lets say, a god loop at a main building gets disabled forever just like hooks break forever. It's 2024 and you still have broken loops that are complete artificial time waste, so it's only fair, introduce the same penalty for survivors. It's 4v1 after all
@@NameIsDoc this insane and I kinda love it, they're gonna have to be careful with RNG and loops if that were ever to happen, not a bad idea tho, jungle gyms for example, this would work fine on those loops
@@KN-592 it is a rather interesting idea. However, I don’t think that could ever be done in the current version of dbd maybe if they make a dead by daylight 2 it could be implemented, but with the current system, I don’t see it happening for several reasons. First, it would require them to make a new asset, and a new animation of which behavior has a notorious reputation of avoiding like the plague. Secondly, since it is a killer centric positive change survivors would be screaming like banshees if it came to fruition because for some reason, despite the fact that they all benefit from the generators completing survivors, don’t like to be punished as a team. I do think that it would be a slightly more healthy change if the entity just blocked it for a longer period of time say 60 seconds or if there were killer powers that could negate windows, but I don’t think the outright removal in certain circumstances would be ideal for the health of the game
@@NameIsDoc yeah they won't do it, this hook respawn (with 60 sec cool down btw) is making these babies wet the diapers. Dbd doing good with revenue so they'll leave it be and milk it
They don't care who they make a fog whisperer. Lilliepie was actively encouraging a major bullying campaign against people just for playing a video game, I reported her with evidence and nothing happened.
They did have a bandaid fix ages ago with old Hangman's trick but survivor mains got really mad that they could not force the killer into slugging when the killer was using the perk and so it eventually got altered to what it is today. Its funny how those things are.
The amount of times a destroyed hook is even relevant in a game makes this such a whatever change to me. Like play for a month and keep track of how many times a destroyed hook fucks you over, unless I have an entirely different experience to everyone else it rarely happens. For that reason alone I find the outrage strange
Because it involves a point of potential strategy and gameplay. And yeah, I personally feel like getting a hook deadzone is pretty rare in the game, but that's what make me go, "Why are they changing such microscopically experienced, per the whole playerbase, thing?" The times I've been in a game where there ends up being a hook deadzone, I've enjoyed the cat and mouse of the killer trying to get me to hook, especially if I'm playing a wiggle build (which is very selfish but fun build at the right moments)(wiggle build usually doesn't work overall. Can I please have a game where I get the satisfaction of wiggling off before being hooked, just once out of like 10 or 20 matches!). On that point, I also feel like guaranteeing no hook dead zones really invalidates the odds of success with Boil Over, and further incentivizes SWF to do things like bring Breakdown to do bullying in order to get their power fix. (Barbara Streisand effect?) Just a different scenario and tension, of rare opportunity, to explore a unique interaction between two players. A real 1v1 typa experience. Sometimes the game gets boring, at different points in different ways, and something like a hook dead zone is a spice of life moment when the game is getting stale.
ftr, when I play killer, I also enjoy the extra problem solving of potential hook killing, esp w/things like scourge hooks. I enjoy having complexity to the game and infinite play expression.
@@daniellebalouise9596 _"Because it involves a point of potential strategy and gameplay."_ The problem is that this 'point of strategy' just leads to degenerate gameplay that neither side really finds fun. If a survivior is downed in a hook deadzone the most optimal strategy for the killer in that situation is to slug the survivor. It's not fun for either side, but it's objectively the correct play. It's quite simply bad game design to have the most optimal strategy also be the least fun or engaging. That's why it's called "degenerate".
25:30 the only time I *really* care about the 4K is for Adept killer achievements or a random Rift challenge that might require getting all the kills or something. Because yeah, you're right, to do that consistently, you *have* to slug the 3rd to kill the 4th, or you risk their escaping through hatch. It's a bad design.
This is actually kind of funny because from a gameplay standpoint, hooks regenerating literally does not matter in most cases unless said location is already absent with hooks.
To be honest, after all of the killer nerfs over the past year..: No grab off hook Anti-camp Gen regression limit Dead lock major nerf Pop major nerf Grim Embrace nerf Ultimate Weapon no longer viable Decisive Strike Buff Sabotage speed buff Head On buff And so on... Giving us hook respawns feels like a major insult. Anything short of NOED basekit no hex is a damned insult and I'm pissed, yet these cave creatures have the audacity to whine about the wee little breadcrumb of hook respawns... Despicable... pathetic...
noed basekit is a little much and would make the game unplayable for new survivors. Maybe instead encourage playstyles that are more fun for both sides, like if you hook 2 different survivors consecutively, your 3rd one will automatically be at the 2nd hook stage. Or maybe for every fresh hook the entity's hook timer progression goes faster
@viennasavage9110 no. It isn't a little much considering the magnitude of nerfs for killers. If anything, NOED basekit, no hex is still shy, and the list I made isn't even covering shadow-nerfs to specific killers, but rather major nerfs that affect the general community. I would have never suggested it a year ago. I would have laughed at the thought
I feel like this was a really important update. However, I do think the time for the hook to respawn should be a bit longer. Some perks take longer than 60 seconds to cooldown. I can't think of many issues of killers abusing this currently but give it maybe a week or a month and there will either be glitches or exploits that will make this update hellish.
This is a good change there been so many time survivors run to a dead zone for hooks and I have to bleed them out then they get mad and say I'm toxic for not picking them up. U can never satisfy people like this
1) how is this person a Fog Whisperer? If they really are, I wouldn't take the program seriously if I were the devs 2) Been playing this game on and off since Hex: Ruin was meta - main problem with this game has always been the community and their constant whining...
This is such a simple and unintrusive change, it is crazy people are getting so mad over it. I played against a SWF on Ironworks of Misery just a couple of days ago, every single one of them ran boil over and would go to the top of the building as soon as they lost 1 health state. After I 3 hooked one of them, the game basically became and infinite slug simulator, because reaching a single hook was physically impossible for me as a killer. This change probably won't even affect solo queue that much and will mostly have impact on SWF that are abusing game mechanics to basically get a get out of jail free card. And SWF are already extremely strong as it is. This is just a great, healthy change in general.
To give me perspective of me about topic of “Fog whisperer didn’t have that power so he shouldn’t be that worried and I couldn’t related to him” thing. As the casual watcher, I think it’s because how some portion of fog whisperers acts (like in this clip) where they have full ego and confidence how they could get someone banned if they bought it up as “fog whisperer” and I assume game dev never deny about it so it keep brewing up and make “normal people” think fog whisperer as that kind of power. Like some kind of moderator of community. While True was one and he knew inside out of fog whisperer is so he was like “Lmao, if I got that kind of power, hook respawn would be happen sooner, they didn’t” feeling. The poor guy just assume from the worst since he feel like he got power abused by moderator who be by totally unreasonable to him so his brain fried from stress. And about hook not being respawn thing, I think it probably come from the “certain hook has too much advantage” so they make it completely destroyed so killer can’t use it as advantage against others 3 survivors which is kinda valid in the sense. But after whole corner hugging “tech”, make wiggle gauge filled up after getting pick up dropped, etc etc. I think game dev can’t use that reason to let hook completely destroy anymore. Also, I understand his “4K” mindset as old MOBA player. If I play dominating in that match , I expected to get the “complete victory” result. If I got “robbed” from my complete victory due to stupid game design/mechanic then I would be mad too. but it was too much stressful after I become another cog in society so I quit MOBA many years ago. Sandbox or slower pace game multiplayer/single player game is my cup of tea now.
imagine playing dbd and complaining about someone holding the game hostage for what, 2 minutes while you bleed out? first: this is the game, welcome to dbd where everyone gets salty when they don't win. second: relax, she's making ME freak out with that tirade. just get a different job if this inflicts so much pain to you 🙄 edit: I didn't even know true is not a FW anymore, wtf?! not showing enough cleavage and/or screeching? 🤔 another edit: both of them are way too loud for me, why does anybody whatch either of them 😣
None of those people play killer. It's nice to be able to get carried by better survivors, speak on comms, and synergize builds just to t-bag the crap out of the killer. The killer shouldn't be something you can just "Clown" and "Bully".. It's already 4v1 and survivors think they have a right to say "get good" when you obviously don't understand what killers have to go through at a higher mmr when they can't LIVE on the game.. Even then some groups bring giant map offerings and pre-run when the killer is on the way only to use gen progression perks to completely shut you down. Play killer at a high mmr before you make stupid comments about the game being killer sided.
Tons of a free perks? Everyone gets 4..And killers in the last year have objectively have gotten more QOL changes, far from just one like you're dramatizing. This is going to make the 3gen situation worse. Instead of being forced to go elsewhere to get the kill or risk slugging the killer can just chill in the same area with the same hook, it won't stop slugging it'll just make slugging even more drawn out because now everyone has to wait a minute in between hooks. It's a dumb change. And why? Because of things like this where a huntress of all characters is too afraid to let someone wiggle off and miss an easy hatchet down?...When they already won the game getting a 3k anyways? That's such a dumb reason to hold a game hostage, but hey some people don't value their time I guess. Just sucks they have to waste 4 other people's because they have nothing better to do than care this much over a casual match that they already won. Not only should hooks not respawn, survivor's bodies should be on the hooks for the rest of the game as a warning to the other survivors of what's going to happen to them lol.

I literally had a 4K turn into a 3K cause there were no hooks near the gate, the Leon I had downed was close enough to crawl out when downed, closest hook was too far away for me to hook him, he had flip-flop and unbreakable, so what am I supposed to do? The answer here is that was never a 4K to begin with.
It's not a kill until the game says so. Your mistake is assuming that them being downed means they are already a kill, and then acting as if them escaping after being downed is the game 'taking that kill away from you'. That's not true.

17k views in one day and climbing, pretty obvious answer no?
I legit have not had a single upload from tru pushed to me by RUclips in years. I haven't actually watched any dbd content in around that same amount of time, though I just got this video recommended to me today. And now I want to watch some more of his recent videos to see how he plays vecna lol.
And i completely understand, unfortunately RUclips prefers drama content over other stuff a lot of the time. Tru needs to make money and he honestly actually does put in work to make a valid point. So this vid is a lot better than the 100% drama focused channels that just seem to spend every day being angry.

Someone needs to call these people out and show their stupidity. And I'm glad Tru3 is doing it. Don't act like he's just as bad as them for reacting.
this reminded me a bit of one of my first games ever in DBD.

Well they don’t usually play killer so that wouldn’t be fair would it?
Hooks respawning doesn't make it better for the Killer it just stops both sides from having a bad time. Killers don't want to have to slug people, and survivors don't want to be slugged.
I tunneled the shit out of a fog whisper once, they said I would be banned. Well, nothing happened. It was hilarious af. I doubt bvhr would ban a paying customer 😂
I don't care what their status is. Fog whisperer, consultant, I don't even care if they are a dev. I'm playing the game how I play the game, and that's all there is to it.
I don't play dbd anymore but I think its a good change. I used to have folks run to the dead zone and make me bleed them out all the time.
“I wish that Chase was better, but everyone is split on gens so it should be fine.” 😮💨
Whereas with Killer, even when you’re winning, there’s this desperate urge to finish the game.

@@kltil5082yes they are rare and the only outcome or thing you can do to win when someone is in a dead zone is to legit slug them. Killers unless they have painres. Hatch has never been healthy for the game, in the past was a free win with key and now forces either a slug or a free chance of escape.
I'm guessing since I can't find the video that the fog whisperer copyright strike'd the vid.
Nah, it's been resolved, so the guy unlisted his video. The FW has apologised for their actions.
I'm glad you're shedding the light on this subject. Like some people on this game are very interesting
Don't let it get to you, remember you are arguing with mostly 10 year olds.
Sad thing is most of dbd community is actually adults not kids lol
@@cinycal7466true it’s embarrassing asf💀
They’re all 30 year olds with the minds of 10 year olds. Even sadder.
I tried to go killer and seen what they deal with and was like dam this is some masochistic ish
Have no X (Twitter) no Instagram! I am happy as f!!!
I just want my favorite game to be fun 😭
If they are actually a dev they shouldn’t have the right to threaten you with a ban, whoever that person is should be penalized for that if they’re a dev, that’s not cool. Great video btw 💙🫡.
The funny thing I noticed recently watching true’s DBD is.
The dev try to make the game more casual, like by adding UI like chasing prompt on survivor icon. (On base)
But they haven’t make the “this survivor already got hook to white hook” yet(the easy solution is probably either show it on survivor icon or change its color from white to something else to let killer know that “this survivor already got hook on white hook”)
But no, killer had to memorize it if they use that perk.
Like, it doesn’t have to show hook state if they want to do “anti tunnel” mindset but not giving information for killer own perk is really silly.
They argue it promotes tunneling somehow. I argue the same with Gen rushing.
yeah, I kinda understand the not “showing hook stage” to counter tunnel (even it’s still silly)
But not even giving killer the information of their own perk(which is one time thing iirc?, the regression only happen with first hook of each survivors and bonus regression for all gen if you can hook all survivors with white hook)
is just beyond dumb. I rmb true used to try to rmb if he hooked this survivor on white hook yet at first but now, he just gave up and mostly just rmb hook stage now(which he still failed to cuz he had to check chat while playing the game as streamer)
more information to memorize every match is just putting burden on yourself for no good reason except being full sweaty which is tiring.
TT being removed from the FW program was the point where I realized I didnt wanna give them any more money tbh
This guy is way too emotional, I agree with everything True says lol
Really? He was being a baby like that? I have seen his streams before and he's a pretty old guy. Can't believe he's that immature.
Playing the game as intended “how dare you”
Keeping people hostage isn't as intended, that's why it's under the report option.
They should either remove the hatch or make it so that it appears closed and requires a key to open
Dbd is like baby's first video game. So many of these goobers can't comprehend that they are terrible and get outplayed constantly
20:50 killer favored right?, if bhvr favors killers then lets say, a god loop at a main building gets disabled forever just like hooks break forever. It's 2024 and you still have broken loops that are complete artificial time waste, so it's only fair, introduce the same penalty for survivors. It's 4v1 after all
There was a perposal that windows break if the entity blocks them
@@NameIsDoc this insane and I kinda love it, they're gonna have to be careful with RNG and loops if that were ever to happen, not a bad idea tho, jungle gyms for example, this would work fine on those loops
Dbd doing good with revenue so they'll leave it be and milk it
This is why I always used to bring everyone to the basement with every opportunity I could.
They don't care who they make a fog whisperer. Lilliepie was actively encouraging a major bullying campaign against people just for playing a video game, I reported her with evidence and nothing happened.
Well winning need meta . So , it's not personal
- sun tzu
They did have a bandaid fix ages ago with old Hangman's trick but survivor mains got really mad that they could not force the killer into slugging when the killer was using the perk and so it eventually got altered to what it is today. Its funny how those things are.
Also, the hook respawn nerfs anti-hook SWFs hard, however rare they are
I love watching these while having never played dbd
The amount of times a destroyed hook is even relevant in a game makes this such a whatever change to me. Like play for a month and keep track of how many times a destroyed hook fucks you over, unless I have an entirely different experience to everyone else it rarely happens. For that reason alone I find the outrage strange
Because it involves a point of potential strategy and gameplay. And yeah, I personally feel like getting a hook deadzone is pretty rare in the game, but that's what make me go, "Why are they changing such microscopically experienced, per the whole playerbase, thing?"
The times I've been in a game where there ends up being a hook deadzone, I've enjoyed the cat and mouse of the killer trying to get me to hook, especially if I'm playing a wiggle build (which is very selfish but fun build at the right moments)(wiggle build usually doesn't work overall.
(Barbara Streisand effect?)
Just a different scenario and tension, of rare opportunity, to explore a unique interaction between two players.
@@daniellebalouise9596 _"Because it involves a point of potential strategy and gameplay."_
The problem is that this 'point of strategy' just leads to degenerate gameplay that neither side really finds fun.
I wasn't expecting the killer to get so frustrated at the end. He started screaming out of nowhere lol
He is a weak willed drama queen
25:30 the only time I *really* care about the 4K is for Adept killer achievements or a random Rift challenge that might require getting all the kills or something. Because yeah, you're right, to do that consistently, you *have* to slug the 3rd to kill the 4th, or you risk their escaping through hatch. It's a bad design.
This is actually kind of funny because from a gameplay standpoint, hooks regenerating literally does not matter in most cases unless said location is already absent with hooks.
I'm trying to find this video on RUclips but I can't find it. Was it removed? Could you link it Tru3?
try searching for it on dbd subreddit, maybe there's even a name for this survivor that's making a fuss
freshnmoist removed the video as the situation was resolved between he and the fog whisperer, who has apologised both to fresh and publicly.
Hooks repairing themselves is a small step towards a better game Pog
To be honest, after all of the killer nerfs over the past year..:
No grab off hook
Anti-camp
Gen regression limit
Dead lock major nerf
Pop major nerf
Grim Embrace nerf
Ultimate Weapon no longer viable
Decisive Strike Buff
Sabotage speed buff
Head On buff
And so on...
I would have laughed at the thought
this take is so bad, it's hilarious how out of touch it is
@@viennasavage9110base kit monsterous shrine???
Also bring back good gen regression perks like butchering them and limiting gen kicks is crazy
U can never satisfy people like this
Why is this player's TTV name in chat different than their on screen name during the end of the video?
1) how is this person a Fog Whisperer? If they really are, I wouldn't take the program seriously if I were the devs
2) Been playing this game on and off since Hex: Ruin was meta - main problem with this game has always been the community and their constant whining...
Survivor mains when the killer kills.
To give me perspective of me about topic of “Fog whisperer didn’t have that power so he shouldn’t be that worried and I couldn’t related to him” thing.
As the casual watcher, I think it’s because how some portion of fog whisperers acts (like in this clip)
where they have full ego and confidence how they could get someone banned if they bought it up as “fog whisperer” and I assume game dev never deny about it so it keep brewing up and make “normal people” think fog whisperer as that kind of power.
Sandbox or slower pace game multiplayer/single player game is my cup of tea now.
always the entitled survivor mains ruining the fun
imagine playing dbd and complaining about someone holding the game hostage for what, 2 minutes while you bleed out? first: this is the game, welcome to dbd where everyone gets salty when they don't win. second: relax, she's making ME freak out with that tirade. just get a different job if this inflicts so much pain to you 🙄
edit: I didn't even know true is not a FW anymore, wtf?! not showing enough cleavage and/or screeching? 🤔
another edit: both of them are way too loud for me, why does anybody whatch either of them 😣
At least it gives us something to watch while we eat lol
Fog Whispers are just free advertisers, just to add 🤦♂. Just props for the Devs.
More like lap dogs for the devs imo🤣☠️
Survivors get tons of free perks and QOL changes and its fine but killer gets ONE and it's gonna "ruin the game"

I feel like permanent hook breaks rarely affect games but you can still slug survivors if they run to a dead zone. I guess in those rare games it's still a pain to wait for the bleed out.
