Hoo boy have I been having fun with this. You can really, really stretch out the usefulness. Note for any of the below - I technically did this on PC, but given that this part of the programming seems the same between PC and console I imagine it all translates. * It's not mandatory, but a good idea is, after clearing the POI of anything you want (ie. final stash, specific stuff you chose that POI for), start the quest and then quit out straight away. The POI will still have reset because you started the quest, but when you load back in the quest will have been un-started - meaning that if you somehow die (which could be a possibility if you're doing this to reset high tier POIs), you'll still be able to continue the loop because the game thinks you haven't started the quest. * Because you're resetting the whole POI, you can be really selective with which places you choose to do this on to farm specific gear. Need legendary/armor parts? Do it for a Savage County quest. Need ammo/gun parts? Do it for a Shotgun Messiah or gun store quest. I myself just got an Elzner's Emporium quest, and it's day 6 for me at night with not much to do - so I'm just doing this out the front, looting 3 mailboxes/newspaper stands (for a lot of books), a couple cars, a vending machine, and a sports bag. Do a quick loop, restart the quest, load out and back in. If it were day or I was a bit stronger I could also get the end stash which consists of 3 pretty easy to reach Electronics crates. * When a POI refreshes a vending machine and it's turned on, its loot gets refreshed. Great if you're trying to farm certain stuff like Sugar Buttz. * (Edit: this one seems inconsistent. It does, but seemingly not 100%, and I'm sure what prevents it from happening on some occasions) Quitting out and loading back in refreshes trader quests too (we've somewhat known this for a bit as you could quit out and load back in after completing a tier to immediately have access to the next tier's quests). What this means is that if you have access to the tier that a good POI is part of, you can refresh-loop the quest from a trader until they offer you something at that location, and then use this trick to farm that specific POI. As an example, if you wanted to get a head start on super corn production you could refresh quests until you get a Bob's Boars one, then refresh the POI until you had as much super corn as you wanted. If you quit out and in within the confines of the trader you will be teleported outside the walls though, so be aware. * Infested missions will spawn an infested cache at the end (I believe this is a 100% chance; I haven't played enough infested missions in 1.0 to know for sure), and if the end stash is easy enough to get to then this is a huge reason to choose that mission type if you can. I'm on tier 3 at the moment and had a Working Stiffs infested quest (tier 3); if it weren't for the fact that I'm wielding a level 2 stone sledgehammer on day 6 it would have been an amazing quest to loop, as there weren't too many zombies to deal with (but a bit more than was efficient for my level 2 stone sledgey self) and the infested cache easily offered way better loot than anything else in the loot room. * In terms of fetch quests specifically, restarting the quest re-randomizes where the satchel is. It's only worth doing on a pure-fetch (fetch/clear has you killing all the zeds anyway, so the satchel can basically be anywhere and you'll eventually easily get it), but for a pure-fetch you can reroll the spawn until it's somewhere super convenient (like a block or two from the exterior wall) to quickly get those missions done. In terms of a trick/exploit it does seem a little silly given that the command console and creative menus are in the game, but the way I see it I'm abusing a mechanic in the game and still having to put in some effort to get the loot. It has definitely catapulted my progress though - with this Elzner's POI I'm currently doing I've gotten a tonne of armor crafting books (I'm trying to min-max pretty hard so have read barely any other books while I try to rush to Nerd Outfit tier 6, at which point I'll read eeeverything), Forged Steel (about 40 so far, and I'm on day 6), and a bunch of other useful stuff. Edit: forgot to mention another one - if you're committed to doing a certain location even if you don't know how good it is or isn't, one thing you can do is jump into a different game, likely random generated, turn on debug/the console and teleport to the POI in question, then scout it out with god mode - to both find out how easy it might be, and where the final stash is.
T6 Crack a book hq, 2 sports away from the starting location towards the road lined up with the planter box nearby digg down 2 blocks and start the quest, if in the right spot you will drop through the wall, you can then walk around through the wall and loot the main loot without waking the zombies unless you start to go to far, you can then leave the game and if you go back to where you first fell through you can restart the quest with the need of digging those 2 blocks down

@@ItsCatmanjoe Nah, if you quit other quests will still just reset. I've been using this method with infestation quests in particular as each time you reset the POI you get an infested cache too with all its goodness.
