Loved your review! almost bought the shoe! but just realized I had just bought started using the Asics Trabuco 11's. i think you'll like that too, can you do a comparison? or try the shoe? it also has am excellent outsole that is beast on the trails. hope you can do a comparison
Good ! Really ! I can only run with Topo or Altra shoes BUT this thundercross from Salomon is currently wide ! I use it since two weeks on really muddy trails (in Brittany , west coast of France) and it is a good salomon shoe.
@@JustAnotherRunner Does it dry quickly?? Because i search for wide friendly, supination friendly, and thundercross top of the list with cons not that breathable. Please answer this question. Thank you
@@finthinks6655 I haven’t had a lot of experience running through water in them but given their breathability I think they would dry out fairly quickly.
Looking for some comfortable trainers to go travelling/hiking for a couple of years with some occasional runs. Do you reckon these would be comfy to wear daily and hold up for a while?
I still wear these on occasion. I wouldn't recommend them for long hikes/runs. But for 5-10 miles, I think these would be great. These have also compressed quite a bit in the midsole. I don't mind it, but if you need a lot of protection underfoot then these will not give you protection for "a couple years" as you mentioned.
HELLO, MY QUESTION IS THE FOLLOWING, I AM hesitant to BUY SALOMON GENESIS OR THE SALOMON Thundercross, I LIKE SHOES THAT HAVE ENOUGH TRACTION, rocket THAT BALANCE THAT INVITES YOU TO RUN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK. JUST
Yes. I definitely still enjoy running in this shoe. However, the midsole (cushioning) has started to breakdown tho. I'd say they have 200ish miles on them which is a little earlier than I would have liked to start experiencing that problem.
Hi Jordan, thanks for the review you provide some details that make a difference. I'm thinking to buy this show among the pelegrine 13 and xodus. Your opinion on these please? thanks!
In the city? On road? I'd find a road shoe. If you really want one of these trail shoes I'd say the Ultra Glide 2. It's more of a hybrid shoe that can do road and trail...
Hi would u recommend these over speedcross? And would u size up or stick with ur usual. I usually wear 10.5 for all shoes, and wondering if I shud size up to 11
That's a hard question. I think the speedcross are a very technical shoe made for very specific conditions. I love my speedcross but I only run in them during conditions where I need the grip and/or protection they offer. So as an every-day-shoe I would choose the Thundercross. But I still see the value in the Speedcross. I would stick with the same size. Mine fit very well staying at my usual size. The toe box might even be a slight bit more roomy than some others.
@@JustAnotherRunner nice one. Thank you for the feedback. Just so I get it right, u wear the same size as ur other “regular” shoes? Not just Salomon shoes? The reason I ask is because I ordered the Salomon cross hike 2 shoe and they fit better with 11 but for other shoes I wear a 10.5 so wondering if I shud follow my Salomon size or just go with my regular 10.5. Thanks again in advance
I have both and i would say if you have any road running on the way to the trails, do not get the speedcross. I was disappointed the thundercross did not have more cushioning. I wouldn’t call them that cushioned at all but you can definitely run on the road with them if you need to

He’s a Salomon ambassador.
How’s the width for peeps with wide feet? Thx.

Thank You, I have just ordered a pair after Your review 👍👍🏃🧗
Just ran in them yesterday. Still love them!
@@JustAnotherRunner You are fantastic 👍👍🏆 besides, nice dog! 😄
This is like a more runnable, comfortable, lighter Speedcross.
Yes! It's like the Ultra Glide and The Speedcross had a baby.

If you want more protection, go with the Genesis. If you want a more flexible shoe go with Thundercross.
I'm curious - 4 months later, have you continued running in this shoe regularly? How's the durability holding up?
Yes. I definitely still enjoy running in this shoe. However, the midsole (cushioning) has started to breakdown tho. I'd say they have 200ish miles on them which is a little earlier than I would have liked to start experiencing that problem.
