Oh, that's great! Awesome video, cant wait to see how fast this thing gets. It looked pretty stable already as is....once you figured out the diff situation.
Holy cow I am cracking up over here. Was ready to offer you so many suggestions then you revealed the spoiler alert... Locked Diff. I was actually sitting at my work desk laughing at that.OMG 63 is actually obtainable. I was going to suggest the shorter shocks but you are on it. You got this one. SBG...Slow Builder's Guild sticker on wing.
Great project, thanks!!!. For the Trx4 folks out there. Changing to the 39t spur and the 17t pinion gives us the same gearing as the TRX4 Sport in low gear.. Crawling with a lighter weight body is good and top speed in high gear is 23mph. I geared down to a 16t and am still going 20mph. The motor is cold after multiple 20 mph runs. The merc tires are actually pretty good compared to the other trx4 tires with the lower profile.. Check out the gearing chart in the manual for all the gearing options. Thx
WOW!!! I was thinking 42 mph wasn't too bad for the first run. Then you switched the lockable diff to be unlocked and BOOM!!! That thing was cookin down the road!!! Can't wait to see what comes next!👍 for the wing logo, how about "can you do it matt, but like better?"
Tailgate/ wing quotes. - McFly said these 2 quotes... “Now, Biff, I want to make sure that we get two coats of wax this time, not just one.” or my favorite “Now, Biff, don’t con me.”
Well if I was you I would lower it and take the servo's for the locking diffs off to save some weight and it'll stop any accidents 👍 and try a splitter on the front for better air flow 👍
2-fast-4-Matt Like Matts but, BETTER I make speed look GOOD I forgot that today was monthly mayhem video day. Sweet. Love this series. See you tonight. 👍
Would shorter shocks, slightly stiffer springs, an locking only the back 2 axles help with speed/traction but only leaving the front axle open? And also adding slightly wider hexes help with stability side to side?? Just a few ideas
Can you limit shock travel?? Not just heavy weight but limit the extended range. I did this recently on my no prep used those nitro gas tubes inside cylinder.
I love the look right as it is tbh. Hate donk, hate slammed trucks, even if it's possibly necessary for this particular application. Find it more impressive to hit 63MPH on a truck that's still fully capable of crawling with little more than a tire swap. As for a message...get one of those 'If you can read this flip me over' stickers made for it, like you see on some jeeps.
How well is the driveline taking this? I never liked this trick, but I've seen it used in drag racing (it goes against setting a car up for corner carving though) - what your thoughts on putting a much heavier oil weight in the shocks on the side the body cant's towards?
I have the Sky as well but after the first few runs there were no differences between them so I left it off. Other than the one mishap with the 11mph run, I’ve been clear of issue. Maybe I’ll throw it back on as we get up higher in speed.
Have you ever thought about setting up a charging station in your Jeep? A simple inverter and a fire proof box should be safe enough to charge batteries while you’re parked somewhere
You can set up a charging station in your vehicle( standard for those of us who use flying fields) but actually charging in your vehicle unattended is dangerous. Fire proof boxes need to vent pressure or they explode😎 We all run a power cord from our vehicles to a separate Pelican suitcase set up with multiple chargers. Vehicles have been lost😂
This is the best challenge yet. Nicely done for this week sir, BUT I DO NOT CONCEDE!
Wait... Were you running locked diffs too? LoL. When that 63 went by at full throttle I yelled out "HOLY S***!"
@Tony Spencer Ha, no. I know how to work a truck with more than two channels. BURN

@@scalebuildersguild Ouch... Lol...
And as far as the "backwards" mounted tire comment, please watch the running video of the mega mud truck. The left rear is clearly mounted wrong.
"I hear you Kanucking but you can't come in"
Can't WAIT to see some Bling factor Josh!! You're getting her pretty dialed.

"Caution vehicles in mirrors are Matt"
"SMELL THIS MATT!"
PS: Perhaps some sway-bars and stiffened Pah-Hard mount to add to the stability?
Exactly! That much weight going that fast needs to be stabilized.
The wing should say “this wang gives me 3 mph more then yours”
Second week and I’m already as excited as Josh. 🤣
That's so cool. Message for the wing. A to easy one. "Take Off You Hoser!"

Btw, I love this series you guys are doing! Awesome stuff, you guys make me fall in love with the hobby again big time.

Love the series with you guys. It keeps the sport interesting. LMAO when you said switch was set for locked diffs. Keep up the good work.
Gotta love the sound of a g63 rollover
wing idea... "keep trying" or "so close"
“Should have stayed with rock crawling”. for the Wing idea
"PAINT THIS!". Make sure to have a set of RPM dirty danglers hanging there to complete the picture.

Ideas for the back of the AMG: 'UR2SLO' A play on 'I'm that guy'-'You are Matt Slow' or the classic 'See Ya!'
"want some ketchup (catch up) for that canadian bacon?"
That thing looks dangerous going that fast.
Hahaha.
You were running locked(that would've been me)
Hahaha
I was going to ask that.
You and Matt may have started a new trend....Top Fuel 6x6.
Lower the suspension.... make it wider... swaybars... more aerodynamics... then ur good!

Swap the channels on the locker servo's, so you can lock the rear end without locking the front end 😎
“Eat my scale dust”
“G ya later Scale Boy” on the rear wing!
take out the inner fenders and SLAM that bad boy!!!
for the wing: snail breaker's guild
also: take off everything that is not strictly necessary
Jus put "GOODBYE" on the wing
"Trash but better" for the wing
GUILD YA LATA! on the back lol
Possibly adding sway bars front and rear? Or heavy shock or diff oil to shocks?
Wing message idea: KEEP UP CANADA! lmao
Just throwing out an idea but would few sway bars on the rear axles help with driveability?
" Eat my Dirt(y air)" for the wing text.

Best use of "Whoops" yet!!
Add lots of brass, it will take longer to get up to speed, but it will be more stable.
I would use shock limiters instead of fuel tubing because fuel tubing even cut the same length are inconsistent might have issues in run
Matt's( Melingma=slow) Mercedes , or Matt's Matchlock Mercedes also means slow. Lol😂😂
Rear wing message: Can-a-duh
Its the details, man!
You should definitely paint the rear wing orange
Try some 80mm or maybe some 70mm shocks it will lower it... that should help you out a lot...#HelpHarley

The wing should read " You Suck Again ! ! ! "
Is a Gyro against the rules? 'Cause that seems like it'd be a decent idea.
Right! And the trx6 comes with tsm
No gyro allowed !
They did not stipulate that gyros were not allowed! Open season!
Sway bars help with torque twist
Just some suggestions.
-Much stiffer shorter shocks if possible.
-Sway bars
- slight toe in on steering
Racers go with toe out in the front
@@Boss-dr2zk straight line topbspeed? Nope circle track and roadcourse racing yes. But straightline no.
Maybe shrink down one of the rear window decals with the kid peeing on a Toyota logo??? That might get Matt’s attention
This is the dragbolt all over again. You guys need some new ideas for monthly mayhem
Sway bars seem to be a must!!😲 Do you have D/R available for your steering?
That's all you got Matt
Put a sticker on the back of the wing so that the message is facing backwards that says “imagine getting gapped”
Does the Proline Pomona No Prep wheels make up it up for the reduced track width using Delete Portal Axle set? Nice ride by the way. Thanks.
Yes, the width is very close to the same width as before. Puts the tires just inside the fenders which I’m good with for aero.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Thanks :-)
You should chop and channel the top. It’d look awesome
That sounds like an extraordinary amount of work to do and not make it look like a bad science project.

lock the diffs open and ditch the servos and cables. swap out to a sport trans that is already locked into hi gear
Sport trans is half way between high and low, would make it slower
“How’s my smell Matt?” For the wing
I still say try shock delete on rear🤷🏼♂️. Never hurt to try
No-Prep Dragbolts vs OMG63's xD
Torque twist!

You should use a skyrc 020 GPS to test the speed, it is more accurate.

Adjust steering curve to be less sensitive😎
Josh how hard is it to check your toggle settings on the go. its a pretty big switch.
It was one of those things I didn’t even think about.
Cya in my windshield
big fat sway bars
AWESOME, LOVE IT!
Nice socks.
Make sure your rear axle is parallel aligned with the front axle (thrust), and then both rear axles aligned to each other (scrub)
Change the shock oil too about 80 wt
can we see everything with body off?
