tried this with a diff drink - make sure to wash the pearls after they are in the oil! they keep their shape but are not really popping boba they are more like jelly!

@@missdirectedawakening look, the reason why it forms balls is because you can’t mix two liquids , for example if you put water in the oil (any oil will work) it doesn’t mix together , look and when you take them out they won’t taste good, yes they will have the ball but it won’t taste . When I meant it wouldn’t work , it wouldn’t form into those balls you see cause when you take them out they it will be a hard time as they will multiply (when you hit something on it they will split)
I tried this and it is horrible first of all it tasted like oil even though I rinsed them thoroughly and they didn’t pop so if you want popping boba just get it off amazon it’s better❤
It is Gatorade and gelatin combined and brought to a boil and cooled for 20 minutes. Then the syringe picks up the mixture and drops it into freezing cold vegetable oil. Hope this helps

This method with the oil is a pain. Go with sodium citrate/alginate combination or go the tapioca powder route.
