I would have thought DJ would notice it the second time. Geof´s lips hardly oved while Layne open mouth let alone the laugh.

Yes, the Zelda section was made up of footage of two games, the original Zelda and A Link Between Worlds. At the time this video was originally released, they were the first and latest games in the Zelda series.

They switched up the song style to match the games as well (retro and modern remix, respectively)
Also Voiceplay has a full video of them doing the song "Still Alive" from Portal on their channel and i highly recommend it.

That Zelda is the one I grew up with, 1987. The final level had no map, so I created a map of the whole thing using graph paper, including what traps were in each room, where to get the Silver Arrows, the correct path to Ganon, etc. All the boys in my neighborhood were suddenly okay playing video games "with a girl" because I would bring my Zelda Level 9 map with me.
You should check out VP's full version of "Still Alive," the Portal song at the end. The game is a good one too, if you like puzzle solving.

Oh did I ever play Pong. At the video arcade that I managed back 40 yrs ago, I loved Pac-Man in every variation including the half video/half pinball, and Joust were my favorites. At home - Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, in all their various variations.
Minecraft part was Layne doing an impression of Pewdiepie if I were to guess based on the intro

The music from Final Fantasy is alternately known as "Final Fantasy" or "Main Theme" and is played in every mainline entry (and a bunch of the spin-offs) except 2 and 10 (so you might not have heard it if 10 is your main entry point), though it doesn't appear in 13 until Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The game on display here is one of the 13s (13 is a trilogy), though I'm not sure precisely which one this is - I never quite got into them.
They were both Zelda games - I couldn't say which, as I've never been a Zelda fan.
Also, yes, if you haven't done Musicals, you should. (I don't think you have, as I try to watch anything of yours that I've covered as well.)

The last song is the end credits song from Portal, "Still Alive" by Jonathan Coulton. Evynne Hollens (Peter's wife) also did a fun cover of it, and the 8-bit Big Band have an amazing swing version you must listen to some time. In fact the 8-bit Big Band are the people to go to if you really want a video game nostalgia hit. Their full version of the Tetris theme is just great.

The Final Fantasy was either XIII or Lightening Returns. From such a short clip, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's from XIII. Great game once you get the hang of the combat system

They are both Zeldas. The first is either Zelda 1 or Zelda 2.
I was never really a gamer, but I had the original NES, so Mario and Tetris are the only games I've ever played. Well, I did have a version of Zelda on my Gameboy, but I didn't really like it. My mom and I would stay up really late playing Tetris while my dad was working.
Cant believe they chose ff13 for the video 😂😂😂 all final fantasy has amazing music, but my fav is definitely 10, followed by 7 😊💜💜
If there's a Minecraft video worth reacting to, it's probably the Sci-Craft server tour that shows all the witch farms and everything.
Also, if you do a Minecraft survival series, I'll definitely watch it. Do yourself a favor, though: get Java Edition.
And yes, Zelda was originally a Nintendo game (at least in the West; a lot of early Nintendo games are based on something earlier that was only published in Japan, not sure if that was the case here or not). But a lot of people were not really aware of the franchise until they started aggressively advertising it on television, in the mid nineties, by which time it was on, umm, at least Super Nintendo, maybe even the console generation after that, not sure. The first couple of games achieved more widespread notoriety later (especially once emulators and retro gaming became popular), but when they were new, they were somewhat overshadowed by platformers, like Metroid and MegaMan and whatnot (and _of course_ Mario, but that's unfair to compare against, because the console literally shipped with that cartridge in the box).
And how the heck do you call yourself a gamer and yet not know Still Alive? That's like calling yourself a mathematician and not knowing Cantor's diagonal.
