Every time someone throws something in the cauldron, it changes the voices. The original Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg (1875) has several movements and in this part it plays the story of the young man going into the unknown areas, he meets the trolls, Troll King wants him to marry his daughter, young man flees faster and faster. In VoicePlay's version, the trolls are the stars, Elizabeth is the leader, knows what will happen if Eli throws the carrot in the pot and heads it off. The first stuff in the pot makes them sing opera, Cesar throwing in the spider legs in the bottle makes Layne tipsy, Eli throws in a big chili pepper which increases the tempo, Geoff's addition goes to jazzy version and they sing the voices (Liz - opera), Layne (nicknames - Carrot Lord and later VioLayne - check out Warriors, Nothing Else Matters and The Lion Sleeps to Night)) and at the very end Layne brings out the carrot and they disappear except Layne's a little behind the rest.
Oh that beginning part was great! That was so cute. I had such a hard week and that made me smile a REAL smile. Thank you for that hun, as always I loved the reaction 💛💛
The trees were dragged into the studio, real trees. Leaves all over the floor, Elizabeth lost one of those fingernails during the shoot. They couldn't find it, so they used one of the leaves. Layne's arrangement except for that last part when they went into a swing style. That was all Geoff. And this proves that all men remain about 11 years old with the body function humor.......
I loved how the shoulder conscious got thrown into the brew. 🤣 And how Cesar and the other had Layne look away with a distraction in order to sneak something else into the brew before feeding it to him! LOL! (I did warn you that you would have to pay close attention to this one. I see something new every time I watch it.)
Between the antics and the complex musical changes this is a video worth multiple views. Also proof that Layne's brain must be a wonderfully weird place to be.
Elizabeth did take a sip, just before her opera solo and throwing the spoon behind her. Don't know about Geoff. Going to have to watch again and pay very close attention. Thanks for the challenge 😂
Just some trolls in the woods around a cauldron throwing in ingredients to make their voices better. It took 2 hours for each of them to get their makeup and costumes done. So they had 2 makeup artists instead of one. Rick Underwood and Rennette Ferrin. It's amazing how they took and orchestra piece and turned it into an awesome song and video. The video they did next after this was Hide and Seek (Ding Dong). They were ghosts from the Haunted Mansion Ride at Disney. Except Geoff. He was the Graveyard Caretaker.
Hurrah! One of my absolute favorites! Thank you! The masks in the background (in the trees) are from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Of course, this was one of Layne's. But that won't surprise you.
The potion helps them sing better. You'll notice after each time someone sips from it, they sing better. Or, in one case, get drunk. Oh, and you stopped a bit too soon in this one. There's a cute little merch ad at the end!😊
Layne went overboard on this one. Rick Underwood did his magic makeup with his helpers. You did it again and didn't watch till the end. You missed the funny ending.
Lovely intro! "These are very horny people!" Wait, how did you meet my exboyfriends? Anyway, this is a joy, and just goes to show, true singers don't need words!💙
You will need to watch it three or four times to follow them all. Once you get a grip you will see they are actually telling a story (the easiest example is after Eli puts in the pepper and then tries it, if you are not focusing on the "words" you will be able to see him protesting how hot it was, and then Ceasar telling him "of course it was hot, you put a blasted foot long pepper in").
Sleeping in the ColdBelow is one that doesn't really do it for me, but I'm not a gamer. I do love the Dragonborn Come however. When we say VOIcePlay can cover just about anything, we mean it. :)
The beginning of this cracked me up 😂 Sleeping in the Cold Below is the earworm none of us were prepared for 😅

This is one of my favorites. They tell a whole story without saying a word. 😊

Geoff and Elizabeth were the smart ones…never took a sip!

I love it when they go all out. Can't wait to see what they're doing THIS year for Halloween
Every year! Awesome, I can't wait for the next one.

And there is some insight into Layne's world!! He is actually a genius 😉. A wonderful and totally left-field creation! 🌹🕊

That make a lot of since now. Oh no, I can't believe I missed the merch. Thanks, I'll have to see it again 😃
@@RandumbTom Yep, guess you need to watch it again...how will you ever survive?🙃
I love what you did with Sleeping in the Cold Below at the start! And this one is such a cool way to perform a song without any real words in it!
Thank you! Sleeping and the cold below is my number 1.
Your face mirrored Jose's in "My Mother Told Me" 🤣 The full face wink, with added pure joy. Subscribed!
Lol thank you!

Voiceplay comes out with a Halloween song every year, I love it so much. Please check out Ding Dong. They're dressed up as Haunted Mansion characters.
I want to recommend Voiceplay Hide and Seek patterned off of the Disney Haunted Mansion ride, but you need something for Halloween to watch.
