Hello, I’ve just got one of these second hand. Should the internal fan spin? The external fan spins perfectly when you turn it on, but the internal one seems to do nothing.
I have bought one of these for camping and would like to know Is the ambient temperature measured from the air being sucked into the cooler ? And is the intake vent the one on the top ? If this is the case and the colder the air being sucked in the colder it will get inside (15 below ambient temp) and the intake vent is on the top, could you connect a flexi pipe from the top vent which goes outside the tent where the ambient air temp would be colder thus making the inside of the box colder?
Yes it would be from intake air, I’d say the cooler the intake air the lower the box temperature. I have another box which I have put an extra seal on, I find this helps to get the box even colder.
This sounds like the relay may be faulty. Unfortunately upon tearing this device down it does not appear that its designed to be repaired so a replacement is probably your only option I'm afraid.
Hello there unfortunately not due to the condensate that's created by the cooling process and only half the box would get cooled because of where the cold side is. I hope this helps

Yes the internal fan should spin. :)

How come mine is dripping water from the heat sink on the inside?
This is normal operation of the unit. Unfortunately theres nothing you can do apart from wiping it every now and then.
@@aspieblokesworld1890 thank you for your answer

Hi I believe it cools 16 degrees below the ambient temperature I hope this helps.

Will this cooler stand on it's side and still work well?
