Another great video, but a word of caution to those trying this - when you seat the console back in, make sure the two protruding prongs, the ones that sit under the dash either side of the ashtray, are tucked on the inside of the other plastic trim. I bolted the whole thing back in (in the dark) before going to put those two plastic plugs back in and realising my mistake. Had to undo the whole thing again 😂😂😂

Is ist necessary to take out the whole center for changing the ashtray and the cover of the ashtray!I only want to change the surface in alcantara!Please say that there‘s another trick,but I don‘t think so😱🙄😭!What’s about the DKG electronic gear knob and Idrive deinstallation?Best regards from Germany!

Great video, I have a few coins stuck under the ashtray/cigarette lighter area and it doesn’t let the lid open fully. Will I need to do the whole process to get underneath it and clear all the coins??
