Let's say that a group got into a really intense battle and one of them was severely injured, but they either don't have a healer, or their healer used up most of their energy during the battle and doesn't have enough left to heal the injured party member. This potion could then be used to safely remove the wounded party member's clothing so that their injuries can be treated without causing them further harm.

If you're close enough and have enough time to cover your enemy in liquid, it should probably be some nastier liquid instead. Like, homemade napalm, or concentrated acid. That being said, if it is freezing outside, and it's a long way to a nearest settlement, robbing an enemy force of all clothes does almost guarantee their slow-ish, painful and miserable demise.
