After a few Days of Sanding and primer, we got the Boostedboiz $400 Mr2 build painted!
It has been a lot of work, but when you finally see the clear coat come out nice in the booth you know all the extra steps were worth it to get a nice job!

Painted for 20yrs. That feeling of how proud you feel after you clear, never goes away. Doesn't matter if its the 1st or 300th paint job.

I'm pretty sure trevor already served up some gapatizers to the boosted boiz afew videos back before Kyle's prelude detonated. But yeah looking forward to that second serving.
I like Trevor but he beat a half blown up prelude lol that car won't touch that prelude when it's running 100 % or the hatch .
That prelude is faster than the hatch is right now but if trevor builds a motor for the yellow car he could easily make it a good race! Love both the Channels! Glad to watch them both daily

I love the painting advice. I have a car that need a complete repaint and this knowledge is gold.
Everything you said made perfect sense. I customize bicycles and the more I spend on prep and getting sandpaper in every nook and cranny and making sure everything is clean, it totally makes the final painting so much easier. Thank you for the reminders. And when I finally get a truck to work on, I'll remember what you said tonight.

It's so nice to watch someone paint who knows what he's doing. So many "pro" painters start in the middle of the hood. By the time you come around the car it starts drying and you can end up with a dry stripe. A dry spot on a pillar or fender is easier to deal with than the middle of a flat hood. Great job! The OCD on the nicks and chips is all too familiar. I hope your buddy appreciates that he just got a $3000-4000 paint job.

That came out so good. Super straight and flat and all the weatherstripping lines sanded down. Definitely much higher quality than most automotive RUclipsrs paint jobs!!

That looks FANTASTIC!!! Your going above and beyond for Kyle for sure! People pay big money for paint jobs and shops don't spend near as much time or take as much care as you are on the MR2. Its great your showing and explaining to people why it cost so much to get a good paint job.

Never gonna happen. Its close to 7grand worth of paint work here man. The cage work is maybe worth 3grand painted and finished.

People that do shit right and know honest work when they see it can appreciate what your talking about and the work you do. You got my respect the most out of all the car related channels I know on RUclips. I recently watched an old video where you BB Kyle and Adam LZ all met up. It tripped me out how you were pretty much the same dude back then and kinda ahead of the game as far as what you knew and what you were doing already with cars. As for those guys, can’t say the same, they have come along way. It just seemed like they were just getting started and still a little wet behind the ears and immature about how they made content. Not so much Kyle but that dude Adam was different!.... And to believe that was only like 3 or 4 years ago! I respect that you do it all, paint & body, you fabricate, you build your own engines, you turn your own wrenches and you got skills behind the wheel!! Mad respect 👊 keep it up man.

Installing a roll cage is 100x easier than what you did to this car

Honestly this was the best move you made in awhile. I know you had subs before but I never heard of you prior and I watch a lot of big tubers. This will make you blow up
My cousin and myself did my 71 Elcamino, down to raw metal and up to a show quality paint job. After doing so, I've come to appreciate what a great paint job takes to get there and how it shows. Thunderbird, royal blue poly pearl with red pearl in the clear coat floated on top. Depending on the light, it goes from bright blue (noon),to dark blue to purple to black. Sweet homemade color for certain !😎
