Right after we got the Boostedboiz $400 Mr2 build painted!
It has been a lot of work, but when you finally see the car come together with all of the pieces is really rewarding!
We are on our way to FD Texas but will deliver the car to the boostedboiz as soon as we get back!

It's hard for body guys to do driver quality work. It always ends up nicer than wanted. lol
Sometimes it is just impossible to switch off your perfectionist standards, and man can only imagine what Kyle said when he saw this for the first time!
the best thing in the world is when body guys have extra time, because they'll make your car look better than you intended and they'll have fun doing it or take it as if they're practicing.
Wow, Kyle got some kind of deal getting you to paint his car. Super meticulous and clean job. 10/10

Kyle built him a roll cage inside the yellow civic
I think Kyle still came out with the good end of the deal. The Roll cage is very nice and took alot of work, but.. I think the paint job was of higher value slightly. But we all have to take into consideration, both channels are getting paying content out of this trade.
Kyle already lost 1/2 the screws to put it back together.

I paint cars for a living, amd the last ep I noticed the tape trick on the paint can. Not only did it change my life, but all the other painters in my shop too

You are the only one i see properly painting cars. the Cut and Buff is so overlooked when people paint a car. im so happy you take the time to level out the clear coat before a final polish
Crazy how flat the paint turned out! Higher temps/extra coat of primer in the booth & all the guidecoat sanding beforehand obviously helped, but still. DAMN!!

the fact that you hand wet sanded that hood versus a body shop orbital doing it makes me respect you so hard. Its those same little details years ago that made me subscribe. People just do NOT understand a proper attention to detail when it comes to paint work and restoration jobs like you tend to do. Mad love brother
Over the past year you have become one of my favorite channels.
Same here Trevor gets stuff done! He's one of the few that shows nearly every detail of every build or job he does and doesn't make you wait weeks to see any of it lol

I got a 4k paint job on ny teggy and still havent even been buffed and had less parts to remove and reinstall..... thats way over 4k

Since the mr2 is staying for a bit longer,someone should retint door windows,so it can be perfection.
Erock Hikes nah go look how lazy Kyle is with Trevor’s cage...major gaps from tubing to chassis, put stress on the a pillars to put em in place which in turn leads the welds to always be stressed even just sitting there...so no I say give it to him with nothing on and let him do it. Kyle hasn’t painted the cage for Trevor or anything “extra” 🤷🏿♀️

Erock Hikes everyone says I’m a hater but at the end of the day Trevor puts a lot of effort into everything he does and Kyle half assed his cage like he did his 3 other cages..yea the cage will save Trevor but that’s not the big picture...you trade quality for quality. That cage should’ve been on the chassis period..
Kyle is one lazy fucken kid, We the people donated to his PayPal to get him and pfi the shop they work out of thinking we were going to get more videos and yeeeeah that fucken Kid probably spends most of his time playing Fortnite
@@fastballfilms4214 well to be fair Kyle told Trevor he didn't want a perfect paint job and to just do enough to make the paint stick pretty much so Kyle went into this thinking Trevor was doing what he asked so you can't blame him because Trevor has ocd and has to over do everything he touches...the cage he got is what they both agreed on not really his fault Trevor went a little further that cage is better than anything 90% of the people here could do Trevor included obviously..as for the whole it should of been to the chassis thing kinda makes no sense seeing as a Civic has a unibody so anywhere the cage meets the floor or the strut towers its technically "to the chassis"...
Wow Trevor!!! That's got to be the nicest paint job on a MR2 period. It's like glass and that red is so vibrant especially compared to that old red.

One of my favorite things in the world to do is the prep for paint, cleaning, masking, sanding, body work, hammer and Dolly, I love it all but as soon as I get into the spray booth holding the gun I'm a nervous wreck.

For all the people talking about the roll cage and paint swap they made the deal with each other there both happy and roll cage tubing and fabrication can add up I'm sure they will do more work for each other they tend to meet up alot lol great job Trevor love the content can't wait for the next project be safe and have fun.

Nothing like watching a channel that shows and explains how hard it is to make it perfect.... Good luck at the drift event drive safely.
This might sound weird to hear this, but this is where all that work on the Supra pays off. Now that you've done all the OCD stuff and figured out what works and what doesn't on that show piece, you're dialing in the techniques needed to get there or close to it. This MR2 probably felt like a relatively quick and dirty job, gut it's turning out amazing so far in spite of the rush. Beautiful car to begin with. The styling on all these Toyota sports cars from the 90's is some of my favorite, Celica, Supra and MR2 are all just gorgeous. Also from the 90's, similar looks, the C5 Corvette and the FD RX7. You don't really see beauty in cars like that unless you go all the way back to the Ferraris and Jags from the 60's IMO. I'm glad to see people wrenching on them and bringing them back to life better than ever.

Guys, the agreement was a paint job not a complete color change. Everything was ran by Kyle and trevor. They are both well aware of the status of each other’s cars.

Leah-Marie Lafond-Hindson or just give equal quality work....the roll cage looks like it was bent up by a little kid...dude can weld...but can’t build a roll cage that’s as tight as possible to the chassis..makes me laugh cuz yea it’ll save Trevor’s life...but the quality of cage doesn’t match the quality of paint job..
