I always thought Splatoon characters would be a great fit for these extreme sports titles from Nintendo. The IP needs a spin-off that deviates from the mainline games.
Yeah, even with the single player modes I feel like a lot of casual players are scared off by Splatoon due to the competitive and pretty intense nature of the game. It needs a way to be experienced by a wider audience.
You mentioned 1080 snowboard and I’m suddenly reminded that Ubisoft was originally going to release a snowboard game at the beginning of the Switch’s lifespan but got quietly cancelled
NST might be a good fit for Pilotwings. It shares some of that tech demo-y, extreme sports DNA with Wave Race and it'd make for a great Switch 2 launch title.
Galaxy 2 being remastered by NST as a mid-gen Switch 2 game is such a brillant shout. There have been some rumours circulating recently about it maybe being out next year - but then again when haven’t there been😭 If we don’t get a direct sequel for the new launch year 3D Mario I think this would definitely be the next best thing!
I think the main issue with games like Wave Race, F-Zero, Pilot Wings, 1080 and Star Fox is their arcadey nature, which is probably from Nintendo's perspective more akin to the Sega-type flash-in-the-pan experience we grew accustomed to over the decades. Hopefully they can find a way to give them all legs for progressive innovation.
Mario vs donkey kong series is so underrated, it just needs some more innovation, tipping stars just failed due to miiverse discontinuing and the main levels being kinda boring, but the online mode was genuinely fun Mini-land mayhem is the best in the series, I would love to see that gameplay expanded on, not many people see the point or the potential it's kinda saddening
@@DDKoD i would like that too if it could be nintendos version of Halo, but i just know ppl would inevitably complain multiplayer took attention away from the single player
@@RiqMoran Both Singleplayer and Multiplayer can coexist. People are just stupid. Multiplayer is the one thing that’ll turn Metroid into a system seller but they aint trying to hear that convosation
If the super switch hardware isn’t coming by September 2025, I wonder what type of lineup for switch 1. January - DKCRHD February - Kirby March - XCXDE May - MP4 June - FE4R September - LM1HD October - WWHD November - Z-A
"Nintendo Software Technology", "Nintendo Cube", "1-UP Studio"(...) I find it weird Nintendo relabeling these second-party studios with "Nintendo" branding despite not being in-house EPD teams, especially since they don't make big games like Luigi Mansion and Xenoblade. It feels like they are "second-class Nintendo studios".
NST and 1-Up assist on massive titles (3d marios etc.) while Nintendo Cube develop Mario Party, which sells 10s of millions of units. NST has also always been known by that title.
While the blue ocean strategy seems to work for Nintendo, I miss my old Nintendo memories. WaveRace, 1080, StarFox, Diddy Kong Racing, DK 94 (gameboy) are all absolute gems to me that Nintendo seemed to have let go. Is it me or Nintendo is missing arcade style grit into their game in favor of general fun for everyone. Mario Odyssey was the last game from them that scratch that itch a little. While, I'll keep being a client for them for my favorite mascots, I hope they will consider making new games based on those franchise. *Note : Mario VS DK, while fun a little for fans, I find it's dumbing down the game and it's placing the franchise in a no future land with a story that is a complete joke, music that regress and visuals that tries to blend in with main Mario.

I'd rather have Splatoon Tactics
uoooh inklings in more athletic wear!!

People wait for Steep news for about 3-4 years to no avail...
Absolutely Bowser's Furious they don't get talked about more **rimshot**

As long as they stop making Mario vs Donkey Kong, I’ll be happy
Who even buys those games? I've never met a single person who plays them.
I have all of them XD

why? the new remake was a great puzzle platformer. i'd love a sequel to it!

Mario Vs Donkey Kong is such a satisfying puzzler, I'd love to see more like this with current visuals 👌🏻
We're way past due for another wave race

Very interesting point.
F-zero or waverace could be a great showcase for the next system. Racing games usually can achieve the best graphics on a system.

Yeah we need a Prime Hunters remake.
I would kill for online pvp to return
Or just have that Multiplayer added to the Main Prime Series

Nintendo is making the 4th F.E.A.R. game? 😮
They shoudl have called it Nintendo Entertainment Software Technology or NEST. Missed oppertunity there.
Missed oppertunity (sic) indeed.
