Nice video I've been on the lookout for someone testing the bottom end. I've got the opposite issue with a weaker quad core CPU (i7 4790) but a stronger GPU with the 2060. Theae results give me hope as your CPU looked like it was... cruising. So hopefully the quad core will have a fighting chance.
Always like a bit o' Kentish countryside, I grew up on what was Gravesham airport now called Riverview Park nestled on the edge of Gravesend towards Higham, every saturday if weather was fine I would be out on my trusty purple Chopper riding down into the wilds of Kent with a flask and packed lunch and a free train ride back because I was knackered and the hill above Strood was just too much for my lickle legs back then, father worked for BR so getting a train to drop me off at Milton Range halt was no bother and then a wander up to home and dinner.
My Ryzen 5 2600 is still a pretty good CPU, playing everything I want it to from Skull & Bones, Diablo 4, Starfield and of course Forza 4 and 5 Horizons at pretty good settings, its just about to get a new home as bought a a550 mobo with an eye to 5xxx CPU in the new year my a320 just won't cope well with a 5xxx CPU. Went with Asrock as usual, always worked well with Asrock stuff and liking the ultra m.2 thingy and the 4.0 pcie x16 and full bandwidth at 3.0 which my a320 seems to struggle maintaining under load. There is a Ryzen 5 2400g on CEX that might interest you, quite cheap too.
Next time you go thru Rochester station, the big glass building on the seaward side of the line is where Dovetail Games are who work a lot of MSFS stuff and also developed Train Simulator, Bassmaster and other fishy games, you should wander in and do a feature on 'em as they are pretty cool folks including a couple of "gods" from Electronic Arts running the place.
I'm just in the process of building a 2600x system and am pairing it with a 1660 super. Just plan on using it for a games room for when I see my brothers and mates. Seems like the 2600x is still pretty capable!
dude, better save up and get a 2060Super which costs almost the same as 2060, but has 2GB more Vram and performs almost as 2070, plus DLSS looks much better than FSR and will help out a lot compared to 1660Super, this would be a noticable upgrade and totally worth some extra money
yeah the specs are all over lol. i think they just didnt test with any radeon below rx 5700xt. as for the 2080, its on average almost same as 5700xt, not 20% better. But the 4080 is def. better than 7900xt, however I think the vram there is important.
Ive been collecting. building. testing pcs and hardware for 30 + years now and Not a single gpu has caused a broken board. slot etc. Not a one. I have some Really heavy cards too.. you would need to Try to do that or have some serious Pull from the cables and it not be screwed into the case to do that.Only way to Break it would be to Drop the system, hence th4ey get damaged in transport. Heck, my water cooled 1080ti flops around and no issues.
@@fetus2280 Had a RX 570 with a custom cooler (Raijinetk Morpheus), bent the card over time but still worked, but then tried to put the original cooler back on which straightened the card and killed it.
After the scam that was Flight Sim 2020, I will never EVER play this game again. I paid $200 Au for the deluxe boxed version and now I wish that I had spent the money on toilet paper instead.

If he ever becomes a billionair I hope he will recreate his old garden in his New Studio 😅
I'm really enjoying the Minimum System Requirements videos.
Thanks!
The 970 with a makeshift cooling solution is the cherry on top of this video
it really hits the "Minimum Requirements" on the nose.
it's the perfect zip-tie-and-elbow-grease energy, yknow?
in fact, the makeshift cooling solution makes it run even cooler than whatever it had before!
That sag, cards holding on for dear life 😂

Loving the Sulley landing into the Hudson!
Someone should make a Film about it!

970 and your vram usage is cresting above the 3500mb naughty zone for that card. That last 512mb vram nukes performance.

I want co-pilot DLC that makes her behave like the guy from the Flight movie.

What's the motherboard you're using in the pc?
It’s from aliexpress I’ll have a video soon :)
Seems like a maxsun b450
I think that the RX 5700 requirement has more to do with driver support than with more optimization towards nVidia GPU's
Seeing your build and the results, could a RX 6650 + 5560G + 16 gb be a good set for 1080 medium graphics?
Yeah should be perhaps with a little help from fsr
A bit more memory would help as well, MSFS loves ram.

I dont think so, 2080 is +20% faster than 5700XT yet they both in the same "recommended spec"

I wonder why amd didn't supported directx level 12_1 on RX 400 and 500 cards, since that's the reason amd requirements are so high
Does the 5500/5500XT support it though? That woud be more similar to the 970.
@@Nemofishman techpowerup says that 5500xt supports 12_1. even vega ones seem to support it so those should be able to run it too.
why did they list the rx 5700 as a 4GB card at 0:11
Probably because they were supposed to list as RX 570 4GB/gtx 970

Can you try it with the 5700XT as well & or with a RX6600 🎉
could you test stalker with a 1080? non ti
you did land eventaully 😂
this game needs frame generation
NOTHING needs frame generation as it's awful. I'd rather developers apply good old fashioned optimisation.
I'd wager a R9 290/290x would play this at the minimum as well.
You've got GPU sag, the fan is adding weight and bending the board, better fix it before it gets damaged.
Nobody cares. + stop liking your own comments
