So going from an RX5700 to RX5700XT is the same jump in quality as a GTX970 to an RTX2080..? They also keep the AMD CPU at the same generation just going from 2600x to a 2700x to get to recommended. Have you ever seen hardware requirements that made sense? I remember those being complete bunk even over 20 years ago, to the point that I ended up ignoring them completely. Just to name one example, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb from 2003 (which is really fun, by the way) claimed it required a 733 MHz CPU, 128 MB of RAM and a Geforce 256. This game was a complete slideshow on my system with an almost twice as fast CPU and several times faster GPU - until I doubled the RAM to 256 MB, which fixed all performance issues. If we look at Flight Simulators from that time, it gets even more similar to FS2024. Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 from 2002 (based on the civilian Microsoft Flight Simulator from 2001) required a mere 64 MB of RAM and recommended 128 MB. I had 128 MB and the game needed half an hour to load into the main menu and another 15 to load into the game. The aforementioned doubling of the memory also fixed this issue. And no, I wasn't running anything in the background.
