This was definitely my favorite part of the show
Because Jeremy Irons is such a great actor, they dropped a multiple Oscar winner albeit a little past his prime in amongst a bunch of mostly fresh faced newbies.

Why would they include it if it wasn't important? How did you even watch the show if you couldn't piece that together?
Why are you referring to the game warden as a “masked raider?”
It wasn't Phillips that planted the object inside the cake, it was the Prosecutor, or someone with her. She winked at Veidt after dooming him. The Game Warden was really onto restraining Veidt.
No he wasn't. This was all part of Veidt's "play" that he wrote. The prosecutor winked at him because Veidt is the one who wrote her speech. Even the Game Warden asked why Veidt made him wear a mask. It was because Veidt wanted an adversary. Veidt created all of this so he wouldn't go mad waiting to be saved on Europa.
How did Looking Glass get the jump on him with the wrench like that? Veidt absolutely owned Rorschach and Nite Owl when they tried similar things in the original story. I know Ozy is old as dirt now but damn, given how much of a beast he was previously, I don't see how any semi-regular person could take him out so easily. Even the Game Warden, who seemed like a badass, was just a toy of Ozy's amusement.

Yeah this always annoys me and for me is the worst part of the series. He’s the world’s smartest man and would’ve seen beforehand that they intended to take him in.
Him being taken like that completely betrays the character.

It takes 3 years to get to europa by space craft. In essence Veidt returned to earth in 2019.

What was the indication at the 1 year birthday that he was already planning his escape? I got the impression that came after staging the play but maybe I forgot a particular scene or conversation. He certainly seemed a bit bored at the one year anniversary, but I got the impression he first tried to seek out other things to "keep him busy" (the play, the gamewarden).
What i don't get is how did he return to earth so quickly. It's a 5 year trip and he returned in 2-3 . The ship took 5 years to get to Europa, so why is it faster returning than going.
It could have something to do with where the planets are in their orbits around the sun.
Perhaps it moves faster returning to Earth because the Sun’s gravity is assisting the return.

What about the play he said he was going to write. Originally it was assumed it was the Dr Manhattan origin story we saw in his little theater but I think he meant the rest of his entire time on Europa. Game warden and all.

That is what people are missing about impeachment. It has to be so egregious it requires the immediately removal of the President of the United States. With multiple people in jail. Veidt would be in jail for millions murders. Anyone that has seen the video would be in jail for covering up mass murder. With the President of the United States impeached for covering up the murder of millions of Americans.

@@stateofopportunity1286 Well in this reality, they seem to have gone single party. But in our reality, during Watergate, 48 people were convicted of a crimes including senior Nixon officials. Many serving significant jail time. Nixon decided to resign instead of facing Impeachment. Of course with modern politics, political parities drop orders of impeachment without a single person being convicted of a crime.
@@stateofopportunity1286 Under Clinton, one person committed a crime and was offered full immunity in exchange for testifying. Meaning they admitted to a crime, would have likely been charged and found guilty.
@@Dularr Impeachment doesn't require an underlying crime. It's not a criminal proceeding. It's a procedural hearing in both Congressional chambers and is almost always entirely political in nature. The House can impeach as much as it wants to, but the Senate gets the final say. Many administrations following Nixon's have done far worse to their opponents than bugging hotel rooms and nothing has come of it.

@@khwezelihleshongwe5271 she already launched the probe when she talked to him at karnak. The money she was asking him for wasn't for the probe, it was for the dr-manhattan-killing millenium clock, the "quantum centrifuge" or whatever it was called
