Makes the week complete when it ends with let it fly on Friday. Ive never owned any Vanquish products yet but my most enjoyable build so far was the Traxxas Trx4 sport. You are awesome Gerry. Thank you for making great videos and have a great weekend.
I changed the transmission on my 1976 malibu, with probably less than half a dozen tools, for the whole job. I think when I changed my intake & carburetor, I only had three or 4 tools for the whole job. I love my old school rides. Great video, like always, buddy.
Another great Friday night video, I’m more than a creator I’m a watcher and commenter also give the 👍. I really appreciate the support and the straight forward approach that you have, I found EZBOY before the sponsorship and still watch to this day, and I don’t even own any FMS trucks. I have a couple Vanquish kits, a few Axial trucks and some Traxxas too. I’m not a snob to any brand or channel, I watch channels whose content speaks to me and yours definitely does. Many thanks and keep on doing things you’re way and this old guy will tune in for sure 🤙
Haha, thanks for the shout out! It’s pronounced “Koshener” 😂 don’t worry, I’ve gotten a lotta Cockner in my life. Wait, that doesn’t sound good.😅 Enjoyed the Friday good vibes and chat. Loving this segment. All of us small channels must unite!
Amen brother!!! You're exactly correct in all you say. People these days have no home training anymore. Thank you for all you're doing for the hobby and the world by just having the exact state of mind this world needs to learn. Preach it brother because it's the d@mn truth through and through
Awesome video, thank you very much for the shout out I really appreciate that. I am always amazed at your rc collection. I am on the process of thinking about building one as I found a body by team raffee it’s a land rover discovery to fit a 313mm wheelbase. So I’m on the look out for a decent chassis. Already waiting for next Friday. Thanks again.
@@gerrysoldguyreview I’ll take a look at those thank you. The 3 I had considered are the injora 313mm chassis kit. The carisma pajero and the redcat gen8 as it says it’s adjustable.
@gerrysoldguyreview Thanks , I was nervous making the video with my phone 😅 The MJX is really built well , I'm going to put it thru it's paces next weekend.
Another great video Gerry. Kindness works well in every situation. I wish more people understood that. Hobbies, fun, work and everything else we do, kindness goes along way. Keep it up.
Surprisingly you get a lot of current info as to what’s going on in the RC world I never used any social whatever but you can use it as a tool to connect to others that like the same hobbies etc. But Instagram definitely opens up a big picture of the world. But like anything there’s always good & bad about everything.
Stay small best setup I've found on the Gen8 is the lightest Axial shock spring for there 90mm shocks ans you'll need the bottom Axial sock mount to match with 10-30 weight shock oil according to weight of the rig. Lighter shock oil equals super scale movements higher shock oil will slow the shock down and slightly reduce body roll. Only way to remove body roll on the gen8 is a set of DL shocks in full droop with lightesr shock spring internally. I broke it all down in some of my Gen8 content on the channel while back
Subscribed after watching your Mashigan videos(which brought me to your page) and started watching your other videos, and this one is epic to me. After managing a automotive car audio/alarm remote start store for 8 years and then leaving to work a Big 3 assembly plant(cough cough J**P/Dodge) for the last 15 years, this video really hits home. I managed my store to a tee like you do! It was very profitable for many years and my employees and myself had a blast while doing it! We all made money but do to factory improvements in audio and accessories, I changed career paths for the better at the right time. I love your no bullshit real take on things and look forward to watching all your back videos as I'm a huge RC nutcase and like your style! Lol. Cheers from the Motor City!
@@gerrysoldguyreview That's awesome! I don't know why, but had a feeling you were from Michigan. Your accent sounds like a Detroit native. Where did you grow up in D?
I was born in Port huron, then moved to hazel Park, lived there till almost high school then to sterling heights. Joined the army and the last time I was in Michigan was 95.
Awesome content my man. I love your straight to the point approach. I've been watching you on and off for a few years. Finally remembered to subscribe on this account, RC Dungeon reminded me to do it after I saw you in the FB group. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
It’s unfortunate people have lost their way or mind but you come in with a good attitude you get a good attitude. But I can go back & check but the older Blazer you have is it in a TRX platform or SCX? And what did you have to do to get it to fit I do here you have to get inner fenders? Thanks
Customer service and social graces have fallen by the way side nice to know somebody else is still upholding those standards, question I've used silicone o-ring lube on my shocks o-rings but still have some stiction at the begining of the initial stroke they loosen up after that any tricks? if your looking for a good channel check out Waffles RC he builds his rigs ground up welding his frames and all the mounting points etc he does what he likes not what everyone else is doing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Derrick, I have always just used shock oil on orings and always work the heck out of them before putting on. And have been watching waffles for a while!
Funny, I posted a comment, but it got deleted. Nothing bad at all, but I put my email address in it. Guess that's an oops. Basically said. Thank you and all that..contact me, blah blah. The big bore spring thing, like you said, is dependent on the viscosity of the shock oil. I need soft springs with thick ass oil! Solved!
I get ya on the views and likes makes no sense to me. I'll have couple hundred views ans maybe 20-30 likes. I don't get what's so hard about hitting the thumbs up. First thing I do of I start watching it was good enough to get my attention. I agree on the transmiter people just bitch lol! I prefer digital but thats my preference most RTR radios work fine now, guys just think spending hundos on fancy radios makes them look cool lol!
Just love seeing all those models....
Eye candy for the soul mike! I too like when you show yours😁
Another great episode Gerry. Yes, it was a good week! Puppies kept us busy all weekend. No time for live lol.
At over 5 months our 3 are still a handful!
