Awesome review Gerry. I removed the dig and opted for the two speed, I trimmed the inner wheel wells , now it's a lot easier putting the body on . Keep up the great content brother 👍
@@gerrysoldguyreview it's not hard at all, take out trans and remove back half of trans , remove little black spacer on shift fork and put back together. EZBOYRC has a video how to do. I hope that helps you out .
Awesome review Gerry, I have had great luck with all my Axial rigs. My Scx24 Gladiator is one of my favourite rigs. I can't wait to see if Santa brings me a new 10 scale Gladiator. Stay safe buddy and have a great weekend. I hope there's a Friday episode.
That Gladiator was at the top of my list for a long time! By the time I got around to pulling the trigger and buying, my interest had also been turned to the TRX-6! I sure hope that Gladiator doesn't have to wait to long... That Trx6 is a whole other kind of beast for sure! Thanks Gerry! You have created a very nice work of RC truck art in your Gladiator! Well Done my friend!
@23:20 Oh, the money on upgrades is always justified by smiles right? 😂 That’s what I say at least. Great looking Gladdy. Love the Club5 scale details as well. Got to have those metal emblems!! Cheers brother!
So true!😁😁 smiling right now! I have been quite pleased with club 5 parts and at the time were pretty cheap, and they have a great selection of parts for alot of rigs!
Really nice job scaling that out Gerry. I think people buy these trail rigs with heavy bodies and expect them to perform like an lcg rig. I just try and stay with budget servos in an aluminum housing on my more performance type stuff because I have broken a lot of plastic mounts on my plastic servo housings. People just complain from what I see. We've had several of the 10.3 in the Basecamp models and they've been great, I did not care for my 10.2 honcho but O do like the 10.3 setup. Anyhow great review Gerry always enjoy watching
I always thought the SCX10 iii was axles attempt to fill the TRX 4 void with the inner fenders and more upscale body details. Having a few TRX 4’s and a few SCX10 ii rigs I have not felt the need to get a SCX iii but the CJ 7 in red/black is pretty tempting. Your Gladiator is pretty sharp looking though👍
I have the JLU version & i wish a had gotten the Defender version but anyway igs bee. A good rig but the dig is terrible when i got it first time out I tried the dig & it went out i disconnected it & never used it again. Its weird they give you a 3 channel radio & the receiver/esc is terrible. I look back & wonder why i paid over$500 for it. But it does perform well & is fun. The chassis is pretty stock but i have a bunch of upgrades on the body including fender deletes & the same hinge kit you have after seeing this i think I'm going to go through mine & take it out i dont get it out much which is a bummer because it's a great looking rig. Thanks for giving us a look. Hopefully you go through your SCX with the older Blazer body or compare the two. My eyes always go right to that Blazer.
Great review. You’ve got a lot of upgrades in that one. I have the 10.3 early Bronco and the CJ7. None of the bodies go on easy. But they’re nice rigs. I get this clicking sound out of both my 10.3’s does the Gladiator click when you run it? Thanks for the video.
Thank you buddy! I really have grown to love the 3 and still have to get a CJ! I had heard about the clicking but I cover all my gears with red &tacky grease and have not hears it.
@@gerrysoldguyreview nice. That crazy leaning tree is what caught my eye. I’ve always wanted to build an obstacle off of it, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
@ right. I really enjoy finding the trees that are still standing, but you can still crawl up them from the ground. I’ve got 3 or 4 at the moment, I believe, that are kinda crazy shaped and crawl-able. If they are cool enough, I usually try to build off of them to make an exit, so that ya don’t have to just reverse back down once you’ve climbed up said tree. It’s good fun!
I have the Gladiator as well. I understand the point of dig, but would rather have had the two speed out of the box. For the price this thing cost, they could have tossed the extra servo on and a five channel radio and gave you both. I do like it, but looking back now. I probably would have opted for a TRX4. I already had a SCX10 Deadbolt, and the stock Gladiator doesn't do much more than a mildly modded Deadbolt.
Love mine. Ditched the dig and added Search & Rescue lights.
Nice! Mine lights up the night for sure😁

Thank you so much! Was it a tough swap dig to 2 speed? And now iam trimming inner fenders🤣🤣

Thanks buddy! That's where it's good to talk, I like the 2 more then the 3 stock, but with some mods the 3 is awesome 👌

Thanks 😁 wish real gladiators looked so good🤣🤣 if it was competition to the trx4 it came up short! And I to need the CJ!

It is worthy of the axial history for sure, the older blazer is a scx10.2 and the long term is coming up!🤣😁😁
Good video How was 🙄❄️❄️❄️ snowstorm
Terrible, rained all day on Monday and now that the roads suck its snowing again!
The servo is good I actually have it in another build tho
Thanks Corey, it's performed well so far.
Nice 👍🏾🔥💯
Thanks 💯

@@gerrysoldguyreview I have not been into the trans or diffs on either 10.3 yet. Winter is coming. Lots of maintenance vids on the horizon. Take care.
@toeshifter winter is the maintenance season for sure!
That scene on your tablet looks awfully familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it….
Glad you caught it, your the first! I like pausing who evers video iam watching while prepping to make a video!

Trees make great obstacles! I cut one down and built my overpass with it!😁

@DRZ-RC I was thinking of building like a elevated thing that runs through the trees. Haven't decided on a good spot yet

Unfortunately you are correct unless you mod it out like i have its just another stock trail rig
@@gerrysoldguyreview A trail rig is exactly what it is.
