Thanks for sharing this amazing work. As a hobbyist enamelist I really felt it when her wires kept sticking together at 6:59. Long parallel wires will do that. It’s maddening.
Two things to note about the process that might not be clear.
    1. What she’s putting down with the paintbrush is not glaze like for pottery. It’s enamel-powdered glass. That’s why it has to be applied in multiple thin layers and fired repeatedly. It’s also why when she’s doing the background of three different colors she has to apply each and then blend them carefully on the piece. You can’t mix two colors and then apply them.
    2. The “polishing” at the end is actually 2 very different things. First she’s grinding the glass down to the level of the wires likely with a diamond coated wheel. You can see the white surface has a few dark low spots that she’s still working to grind down to. The piece has to then be refired to melt the glass and smooth it out. The last step is polishing, which is mostly about getting the silver wires up to a high polish.

No, no, no should not. Yeah she may make the cup but who pays for the building? The materials? Insurance? Tools? And everything else that comes all with a manufacturing company! Yeah she probably deserves more but not more than half or likely even a 1/4. A robot would do this job for free. Hell a monkey would do it for a few bananas.

You have to wonder why she is working in a paper mask, which would do nothing other than make her uncomfortable. The Japanese have some sort of weird psychological obsession with masks. A sign of submissiveness to authority no doubt, which they think is a virtue.

Certainly can use silver but copper is a cheaper material. Not much point in the base being silver if the base metal will be covered by glaze. Also copper is antimicrobial.
