Woodturning a Lamp Shade from a Log

- Turning a log into a lamp shade! White and clear Maple wood with an amazing natural orange glow.
Two corrections:
1. I called Matthew Gallagher Mark in my video... Sorry I made that mistake, Matt!!!
2. I have misidentified this wood as Elm in my video...it is confirmed to be Maple...that whole illegally dumped mess (see my previous video for a look)...all Maple. I love Maple!!! Score!

@@RHumphrey I would not have thought you could have wood and lampshade in the same sentence. I've watched a couple of your lampshade videos and find it amazing the colour that comes from a light wood and white light. Brilliant, 🏮
Mr. Humphreys, you have outdone yourself with this magnificent turning sir. BRAVO! I am, and will always be in awe of your talents, and most especially your modest demeanor. Beautiful shavings indeed. I should think box elder would also be very well suited for this type of project. Imagine how those red veins and highlights in elder would light up.

I sit here in amazement. Both in being able to do that and also how absolutely beautiful it is. It is usually a child-like over exaggeration when someone exclaims "that's the nicest ever" but in this case, it is fitting. Not having any wood turning experience, I don't forsee ever making one nor ever seeing one for sale. Still, what a fun video.

Very beautiful color , at 12:09 when the red blasted through from the inside ,,,,, incredible color , and the ribbon shavings at the beginning look like pasta , think I'll fix spaghetti for dinner tonight 😂 awesome job very very nice.
