Akaso sent me one of these for free when I showed them that we don't get great sound from the built-in mic or the wired mic. They don't appear to be anywhere for sale though, so maybe those asking about where to get them should contact Akaso to get one. And although the wireless is better, I'm still going to have to enhance the volume at the edit stage as it's still not that impressive compared to my regular digital camera/video to be fair.
I'm confused. Are they using a USB-C port, or have they messed with it so the pins are different? If it's the same, why not just plug the wireless receiver into the side of the camera?
I was thinking the same thing. I have a wireless receiver and wireless microphone just like the one he has and he could just plug the USB C part of the receiver into the camera without an adapter. Maybe it’s too tight a fit? In any case, it doesn’t work. At least not on my Brave 6. I plug the USB-C part of the receiver into the camera and nothing. My iPhone and iPad work with it. But not Akaso.
I to wonder why Akaso has not yet released as well thih camera is good but it REALY needs a wireless mic!!!!! could you please let us know when, we can buy one soon.....
You have to contact Akaso. They sold me one for $18 and it came with the dongle. I still think it's ridiculous that the receiver is so huge and has a USBC connector but you have to go through a dongle and the 3.5
Are we able to buy the USB to 1/8" adapter yet? I have a lot of mics, adapters, and was about to order another akaso usb c mic just to open the wires (other vids show only two) but if they are coming out with this I would wait... if we could get any ETA on release - please and thanks - great video. New sub here ~j
😂😂😂 to little to late ive been using all kinds of mics with my akaso brave 7 for many months as i made my own adapter buy buying their mic a cutting the usbc plug off and joining it to a trs socket 👌

Ya, for some stupid reason, the USBC on the receiver doesn't work and you have to have a dongle to connect with the 3.5

I don't have a hero 4 unfortunately but it does work with my hero 8 black if that helps.
