To remove the spanner off the dash. Hold down the trip reset shaft near the speedo. Hold it down for about 15 seconds.
Its only to tell you it needs a service, but wont actually turn off even when you do service your car. So you manually reset it
    Hope this helps a little

Any chance you can say which wires you found were for the horn?
Finally found a video that has same problem as my 99au, but you didn't show which wires are involved. I've gone to the circuit diagrams and tried to find the correct connector but no luck. trying to do exact same thing as you but hoping to not have to removed the horn pad

seems no vids from this poster for 2 years, so I went and took off horn pad/airbag, quite simple procedure if have the 5 star tool, turns out there is a big grey connector under the dash, it has 4 wires going in and 4 wires coming out.
The purple going in is the horn wire, that turns into blue going out, cut blue wire and splice in a suitable switch at dash, then another wire should go back to ground at same big grey connector ( black wire ).
why would someone put up a video and not give this information since that was the whole point of the video?

dont worry did it myself, big grey connector under dash near steering wheel, has 4 wires going in and 4 coming out, the purple wire going in is the horn wire, it turns to blue coming out. Cut the blue wire insert a switch and other end of switch wire goes to black wire at same connector........your welcome.

Why did you take off the complete strut tower? (the 4 bolts surrounding the shocks head)
You can just undo the top bolt of the shock
