Yeah I'm binge watching them again but ignoring the yank based series as I've no interest in cars I've never heard of or will never appear on our roads. I love watching about rebuilding Spitfires, Jaaaaags, Saabs, Minis etc but some great big V8 lump with a turbo off a WW2 bomber and a bed in the back for GrandPa and Granddaughter........ Na...😂

All three mechanics have there strengths and if Brewer shows his face now and then that's fine, the nay sayers need to grow up. As long as the camera shows the finer detail of the fixes, I'll watch.👍

I never watched a single episode once Ed left. Ed was the corner stone and focal point for the Wheeler Dealer interest. A used car salesman on Red Bull never brought much for my interest.
It wasn't the same without Ed. I never understood why the series went to America, they had hundreds of car shows, Wheeler Dealers was unique over here. I personally cant drive but I found it interesting to watch, if you owned a car it had invaluable information and advice.
Edd was great. Entertaining and informative and clearly knew his stuff. Mike "Hold out your hand (especially if there is a piece of cake in it)" Brewer was, as far as I am concerned a second fiddle to Edd and not worth his own high opinion of himself. The most annoying thing about the show other than Mike, was that all the time that Edd put into the cars was simply never taken into account when calculating the profit (if they ever made any) on the cars he fixed up.
Mike is someone i'd never want to work with. I'm sure some was staged, but his whole body language already annoys me ...but once he opens his mouth it's over for me. I especially love how he always says "we" built a great car, but hasn't done anything apart from finding the cheapest and most f'd up car on the market.
My understanding was Dicovery told Edd there would be less of him, more of Mike and more filming in the US, so that put him off. I only watched for Edd doing the fixing up and didn't care what it sold for or to whom.
Brewer is not a nice man. he always talked down to Ed China like he was inferior and lazy, the truth is how did Ed take the insults and abuses for all those years.

It´s acting and a TV-show. The tv era about that time was to create dynamic between the hosts.. Ed worked side by side with Mike from 2003 to 2017.. that´s 14 years - what do you get out of that?

Brewer bought some sheds that normal people would walk away from. His attitude to his cohosts stank. He'd drop off a scrapper which he knew was on it's last legs, then run off and pretend to do some work. The final insult was when he sold them on fora tiny profit or a massive loss😮

I have watched this show for quite a long time and enjoyed the work done by the various mechanics with their insightful explanations. However I am less than impressed with Brewer. I find him an annoyance with his abrasive personality and behaviour. I'd like to see a show where more emphasis is on the rebuild and repair done by the mechanics and if possible nothing of Brewer.
I thought that the Wheeler Dealer format and financing was Mike’s idea. It has been a massively successful show across all the mechanics/engineers. My Daughters have a happy interest in cars and how they work thanks in part to these sorts of shows. The show has generated a lot of good times over it’s decades in production

Ed was head and shoulders above the others in this role, he repaired the cars. Ant serviced the cars. Elvis managed to stay remarkable clean, clearly doing as little as possible. The format is now stale.

I don’t watch Wheeler dealers because I don’t like Mike. Mike is constantly padding himself on the back for every little thing he does and it’s almost like he is in competition with the mechanic. I prefer to watch car S.O.S that has a good dynamic between Tim and Fuzz. A great show.
Watching the older episodes with Edd it comes across how negative he was - maybe this was the idea of the script writyers who wanted Edd to suggest MB had taken on a whole bunch of problems. Overall a great series with all the guys.
They cheapened the show and spent less time on the technical aspects of the repairs once they moved to America, which Edd disagreed with. It's better now it's back in the UK but the old shows where Edd was the mechanic are by far the best.

I watched it here in America. Even before they came to the states. It an was interesting show. I can't get excited about a 80HP micro car because it can take a corner at speed. That is a UK thing but still, I enjoyed watching it.
The show was a bit of a farce really, they never added the cost of the mechanics time to the cost of restoring the car, if they did they would have mostly lost money.

How about, making a show about finding the nations best mechanic, say for e.g each one gets points for speed, best method, best solving ideas and efficiency etc. Just like finding best chefs but as in for car mechanics. It would be amazing...the show could even have other trades, plumbers, electricians, and so on to find out the nations best of those too.
Cos he's what we call in UK a VVanker!! His part of the show is unwatchable, he´s like a parody of Dell Boy but not funny. I timeshift them and skip Mikes parts. Ed was Great and so was Ant and even the Mark was good and I learnt a lot about cars.

I would not have wanted to work with mouthy Brewer either, to gobby for me, Ed was the man who made Wheeler Dealers go.

Most of these car shows are so repetitive the only thing that changes from show to show is the car .The first two characters played donkeys whereas Elvis has shows signs of trying to break the mould ...
Mike is awesome. His enthusiasm made the show. People forget the show would never have happened without Mike

Brewer pee'd me off when he once ripped someone off buying his Boxster for just a thousand pounds. I know the man didn't have to sell it to him but it just didn't seem right.
Mike Brewer did the difficult thing which is conceiving the idea of , "Wheeler Dealers" ! WHY do they want to run anyone famous down ??? Mike Brewer makes the show ! So what he has had different mechanics !

I like Wheeler Dealers when it was shot in the UK. I got a first hand look at how goofy European cars really were.
Last time I watch it, it seamed more about the presenters and less about the car's. That was with Elvis.
Ed made the show, not Mike as much as I liked him, I found Ed’s sections super interesting! Once it moved to the US I stopped watching, then started to watch it again when back in the UK, but I do miss Ed.
No smoke without fire . All I can think of for a show like this is the work load . Mike only buys them . And the patterns the same the man who tears them apart to make them good again is the one leaving

There is more to it than that. Edd talked about it a few years ago. As far as I remember, Brewer and the producers kept all his tools too.

No-one wants to work with Brewer because he's impossible. Thinks he knows it all but actually seems to know very little. Anyone who has to stress how important they are usually isn't!
Much better since it moved back to the UK. Didnt like all those weird V8 American cars, never heard of most of them
The show was about ed china on mechanical repairs that's why car enthusiasts watch it as for Mike brewer anyone can buy a banger but it takes a good mechanic to repair it there was no point in having brewer taking up time on the show not alone brewer thinking it was about him the show was ed china.
Mike Brewer would have not been my favourite, however after he back stabbed Ed in an interview that was it for me.
