Billy Sims was an incredible running back in college and The NFL , but the fact is he turned 25 in his rookie year in the NFL and had a lot of miles on him by the end of his college days, back when you would carry the ball every down. Billy was the greatest of the great OU running backs. Joe Washington, David Overstreet, Stanley Wilson, Kenny King, the Pruitt brothers (Mike and Greg), Marcus Dupree (his one season was amazing), Quenton Griffin, Steve Sewell and others. If you look at the stats between Barry and Billy for the first four years of their careers they are VERY close. Must be players from another sport, I'm lost!
Sims was good, but Barry like MJ, was from another dimension.
RICKY WILLIAMS……😅Billy Sims was great… Eric Dickerson /Barry Sanders/ Tony Dorsett.. 💪🏿😄
A bad team and bad coach will shorten the career of any good running back. Simms and Campbell unfortunately played for bad teams and some may say bad coaches.
