      @@dumitrascuclaudiu7097 I don't care about fuel economy, I go with 3000-4500 RPM, sometimes 5200 RPM for a few seconds. You can get under 5 liters/100km but I go above 6.

    12 years ago when my kids were small I changed jobs (yup in the middle of a recession) handed back my company car and started working away 😁 my wife said, I need a car, so I found a multispace xtr took a very reasonable 3 year lease and had it delivered. She hated it the minute it arrived, but….quickly loved it, as did I we ruined it over 3 years and handed it back. No I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever have any more kids, but if I did - deffo have one of these again.

    I like it, and to everyone complaining about the range, it has 2 hours range plus 100kw charging so nearly full in about 30 mins. There are plenty of people that is fine for. If It was nearer 20 grand I would be seriously interested. Im hoping because of the low range and MPV and it's a Citroen that the depreciation will be fairly high so maybe a reasonable price in a few years second hand. Definitely not for everyone though.

    I have got the vauxhall combo life elite 1.2 petrol automatic. Phew long name I have had the van for three years and it’s been brilliant. I am disabled and I needed something that would carry my buggy and this does with no problems at alluding a electric lift. Being built on a van body the interior is not the best but it drive’s really well I average 35 mpg but that’s around town. My car is a lease car and I am that happy I have extended the lease another two years. The car/van might not be the best looking but if you need to move people/stuff around it does it with no problem at all have a look at them you won’t be disappointed.

    Conventional SUVs are lard arsed monstrosities - this looks much nicer. I really want one.
    As a family car is 150 miles really an issue? I rarely manage 100 without an extended toilet break when we're all in the car so would expect to recharge naturally provided there's a working and available charger, and I guess that's the issue rather than the vehicle's capacity?

  • @t2stu

    One thing you are wrong about: throwing dirty stuff in it and not caring. I've found Berlingo owners become rather loving towards their wheeled boxes like they are one of the family.

    Hi Tim sorry a simple question your great video didn’t answer. Is the load area 1.7mtrs long? All you guys talk about litres but that means nothing to most buyers we really want to know the length, width and height. Did you put a tape measure on it?

      If you drive over 150 miles every day, you might have a point. If not your missing out on a great practice car. Given that Tesla is opening the supercharging network to all, your point about range fails to compel. Most EV’s can travel further on one charge than most peoples bladder range, so you’ll need to stop for a pee, a coffee or a leg stretch. Why not charge up at the same time?

    • @Craggles365
      @Craggles365 2 года назад +1

      @@commuterbranchline8132 but as a family we want to drive about on our weekends. Even hop over to Europe. It’s just not doable. I wish it was. Looks like I’m going to have to squeeze the family into a smaller car as I don’t have the budget for a Tesla X.

    • @paulruffy8389

      @@commuterbranchline8132 you're tight there, prefer to stop, stretch and empty every 100. And don't want extra cost, weight, and reduced efficiency/acceleration a bigger battery would come with.

      @@commuterbranchline8132 good point, but having a quick bladder break isn't the same as a 30m+ charge stop.

    I think Citroen and Peugeot have made a mistake only offering electric with eight years to go for conventional fuels and I bet that date goes back to 2035, can’t see the infrastructure sorted and the price of electricity and tax will soon screw the scheme just like with CNG and LPG.

      Apparently ICE is coming back to this, and it's cousins, in the form of mild hybrid. The pure ICE versions pulled for fleet CO2 average reasons, unfortunately before the MHEVs were ready. 150-mile range is fine for a second city car. But as your main, or only car, it isn'tr really enough.

    electric MPV rocks in comparison to a horse. Sub 300km real world range is unacceptable for most families. 3 kids plus a dog and a bunch of luggage, 100 km/h for 280km max for >30k € is truly sad. Like Renault and Opel bosses already said, if you are a family man, don't buy (yet!!!) an electric car.

    manual tailgate. GOOD. an electric boot is a classic example of utterly needless tech. The B9 model was good until about 2015 when they put in the ghastly screen and pointless dual climate. Shame about keyless entry, far more likely to get stolen. Shame about horrible electric handbrake too, these are not safe. 2005-2014 was peak Berlingo.
