    This is the difference between this year's Warriors and the 96 Bulls. The 96 Bulls were chillin the entire game against bad teams... and sure enough, bad teams are the ones who were lucky to beat them that year. 75% of MJ's 50+ point games came against winning teams. Prototype example was this year when they had played the Grizz and were losing... then a Grizz player talked shit off of the bench and Mj went on a rampage, winning the game. This team could have easily blown out teams by more. Imagine what a nightmare they'd be defensively and on the break today?

    • @KCY4LUNG
      @KCY4LUNG 8 лет назад +14

      I agree. and those Bulls losses were closely contested ones winning by a margin of 1-5 point difference. I thought that they would get a 74-8 or even 76-6 record during that time because they were just unstoppabull. but the losses came due to them just chillin around especially in the latter part of the season. not to mention that that era was stacked with Super Teams. the East and West teams were scary strong and any of those teams other than the Bulls could become champions and beat today's NBA champions for the last 10 years.

    Its really a shame that MJ's games weren't broadcast with better quality. I know this is a VHS tape dubbed to RUclips, but at best this would have been a poor quality video compared to what we have available today.

      พีระพล วงศ์ทอง With the exception of Rodman, the Bulls had class. Not to mention they were just a blast to watch. Every NBA fanbase knew this. The Chicago Bulls were America's team in the 90's.
      Lebron and Kobe never had that and most likely never will; it's always somethin or the other with those two. They're the epitome of divas, and they often write checks with their mouths their asses can't cash. Nobody likes that shit.

      Hambone Jones Wherever they went they sold out, everyone wanted to see Michael and the Bulls. They were assassins, come to your house, wipe the floor with you with big smiles on their faces, then move on to their next victims.

      Phon Xieng It was very similar when the Bird-led Celtics used to play in visiting arenas. Go watch the famous game when Bird scored 60 against the Hawks...in New Orleans (a supposed home game for the Hawks). The crowd was increasingly going bonkers, because of the show Bird was putting on as the game moved along.
      Can't speak about Kobe, but MANY ppl can't stand LeBron, so stands to reason why they won't be cheering him. Guys like Jordan, Bird, Magic were HUGELY popular outside of Chicago, Boston, LA, so when you have a likable superstar putting on a show like those guys routinely did, it's easy to see why they would get cheers from the visiting crowd.

    • @John6-40
      @John6-40 6 лет назад +1

      It was temporarily moved in at the top. From 23.75 feet to 22 feet. The corners stayed at 22 feet, which is where they've always been. The league was trying to encourage more 3PT shots, as at the time, the 3 pointer was considered a gimmick and the game was all about getting inside. They eventually moved the 3PT line back to 23.75 feet, and eliminated hand checking and implemented a 3 second rule in the paint. Which is why the game looks the way it does now.

    @MIKESOWELL Yeah, i know what you mean, i was a little dissapointed Phil took MJ out as well. He would have hit 60 points easily in that game, i guess since the Bulls we're torching Philly so bad on they're home floor, he decided to take MJ out. The Bulls were up by more than 30 points going into the fourth period. The Bulls had so many games like this in '96 and '97, where MJ, Pip & Worm hit the bench early, and that definantly costed them points, rebounds,assists,steals,blocks, etc.

      By the second quarter the sixers had given up hope and were completely demoralized Jordan and the Bulls had that effect on bad teams. Many people don't understand that when the Bulls were dominating the league, they would rest their starting lineup in the 4th quarter many games because the game was over by three quarter time. To me that epitomized what basketball was all about. They went out there to end the game in three quarters and rest in 4th to rinse and repeat again. How many teams have we seen do that consistently since the 90's bulls?
