      The 1985-86 Celtics were better. They faced much stronger competition than that Bulls team. That 1995-96 Bulls team would have won no more than 55 games if they had played in the 80’s and they would not have made it out of the Eastern Conference.

    • @m.l.b.2908
      @m.l.b.2908 5 лет назад +16

      I believe you are right. Makes a mockery of the whole "Chicago only got past Detroit once Detroit got old" line that so many trot out. How can Dennis Rodman be too old in '91 (he's older than Mike and Scotty as well as Joe Dumars, and the same as Isiah) but young enough in '98? I mean he was on both of those teams, so which is it? Zeke's too old in '91 but Mike's young enough 7 years later despite being 5 years older by then than Thomas was in '91 when he was too old?
      Any person who uses that line is trying to argue that the Bulls weren't that great, but what they're inadvertantly saying is that the '98 Bulls are the greatest team of all time. If age is your metric, it has to be so (assuming no older team has won).

    • @m.l.b.2908
      @m.l.b.2908 5 лет назад +3

      @money Mark Yup, I know exactly why they're saying it and who they're targeting. I know who promotes it. I also know it's an old, tired line that has never been accurate and I'm sick to death of reading it. The complete lack of logic or ability to extrapolate one's position that you find in people who make the argument is quite staggering.

    Rodman is great)) I mean MJ and Scottie are on the level and they were the core duo but Rodman is also great in his way. He's smart, excellent, did tons and tons of the "dirty work".
    And the main thing I'm writing this is that Rodman is hillarious) The jester who at the same time was the dominating beast of basketball.
    Stockton holds the record for assists. Rodman has got a row of records on boards.
    Also he was the best defender in the post. I mean, who's Shaq? Rodman defused that 7'2" 250 monster. He could defuse anyone. MJ? Got him troubles. Pippen? Get that! The man sure did his job and never whined about the money.

      He’s the ‘heel’. It’s what Laimbeer was for the Pistons and Draymond is for the warriors. The person that disrupts the flow of the other teams while voluntarily taking the negative reciprocity almost singlehandedly. Every really great team has one to some degree.
      I wanna say Rodman was the best at it of all time but that would do a disservice to his predecessor and mentor, Bill Laimbeer. I hate him, but that doesn’t mean I don’t respect his craft.
