I just don’t get it. Say if there’s any allegation of abuse by a nurse or medical person- they would be on leave until the investigation was over. They wouldn’t be allowed to continue to work with the population and environment where the suspected abuse took place. It doesn’t make sense how they let this guy work another six months around kids. I always wonder working as a nurse: How is it that nurses are able to restrain violent people, without causing them injury? We do it all the time. And if we did cause them injury, we would have to explain it and take full accountability. They should have go follow similar protocol as nurses. Just because someone is an “a-hole” or calls you bad words doesn’t make it ok to critically injure them. They need more qualified people to oversee their actions. When nurses restrain people, we have to release them every two hours. We can’t involuntarily seclude people. We have to get a new doctors order every 24 hours for restraining. They are constantly reassessed to determine whether the restraints are still necessary or not. That’s the humane way to do things. Police need to follow suit.
