- The teen sleuth is at it again! This was Bonita Granville's second turn as Nancy, the high school reporter who was the subject of four Warner Bros films in the late 1930s. This time she's helping a young woman accused of murder. When Nancy persuades her loyal neighbor Ted to help her, it's only a matter of time before the identity of the real killer is revealed. Directed by William Clemens (the man behind the memorable Falcon series), and starring the likes of John Litel, Dickie Jones, and Frankie Thomas, this movie is a feisty little mystery that will have you rooting for Nancy to solve another one!

I used to read Nancy Drew books and they were thrilling to a 12 year old in the 60's.
Amen me to. Saturdays were Library days when we would spend hours at the Children's section of the Carnegie Library.

❤❤I read them in the 80s. ❤❤
We all love Nancy Drew! She is our hero! Ha! Ha!
Having a lot of sadness lately, what a great film and such energy, it cheered me up so much, thanks.
Same here. RUclips really helps the downer feelings. I spent a few days last week watching an old show called Love Connection. Gave me some good laughs and blast from the past.
that's NORMAL considering the mess the country and the world is in. Support TRUMP and do something positive !! Help out!

@@vincentengland7927 talking down from a position of moral rectitude - that's your whole act in life isn't it. Well, shove off! You probably are a war monger baby killer. Go smoke some pot.
Yay for this one too! I used to sing that part which Mr. Drew sings as he puts Nancy to bed.
And I reminisce the days when my Daddy would give me rides on his legs ❤😂🙏
A beautiful movie thanks so very much for the post
Omgoodness thank you for this treasure
Thanks for the movie 🎬
Wow! Nancy drives like a maniac lol.
😆😆😆😆You should watch Nancy Drew Trouble Shooter. As she parks her car, she runs right into a fender of another car, gets right out like it was nothing and goes her way. I really laughed at that one. It was 1939 and I think they were making a statement on women drivers. I've seen teenage boys that are really reckless, and I'm not making that statement at all but I think they were at the time. It's still funny to watch though.
Ted was SOOOOO handsome!
Simply wonderful!
Great old movie!
I used to love reading Nancy Drew and I still do
The girl with the big black hat at 2:22 is a young Joan Leslie.
GOOD MOVIE, WONDERING IF BONITA'S BOYFRIEND, MAY BE RELATED TO TONY DOW, FROM LEAVE IT TO BEAVER SERIES.
A few movies that I always loved to watch when we got home from school was the Nancy DREW ....ALSO BLONDE and DAGWOODBL
It's crazy to think that was 85 yrs ago
Nancy gets herself in scrapes, bites off more than she can chew then wants the guy to ' do something '!!!!!
Didn't know there was a younger girl in the Nickerson family.
Please set the volume louder when uploading. We can always turn it DOWN, but we can't get it any louder than the max youtube bar and Windows settings. I like to listen from across the room, in bed or in the kitchen, and it is not loud enough, especially in winter with the furnace heat blowing. Thank you.
Why did they only make just 4 episodes of Nancy Drew?
❤ It's a B movie. There's more modern versions. ❤
Eine junge blonde Miss Marple 😊 Nur nicht ganz so unerschrocken.
16:14 Pinnochio is imitating Donald Duck

Released February 18, 1939.
people back them dress so beautiful , kindness, respect other in public, i wish people should dress like people in pass. The cities look better.
I am laughing because it was a funny film - movies back then were great for comedy - but they made Nancy Drew too, how can I say, too Shirley Temple-ish - I guess I will alway be bias to the 70s Nancy Drew with Shaun Cassidy as a Hardy Boy. The books are always going to be best though.
Who thought this was a good idea?! Talking about mishandling a story.. making her a stupid girl and her father not believing in her, very arrogant.
