@@StoopidMonkeysMomma Honestly, I used to be a professional detailer and the absolute best headlight restorer is made by Mother's and it comes in a rectangular box as a kit. It includes the sanding pads (1500 and 3000 grit pads), the buffing wheel to put on a drill, the compound for cutting through the sanding scratches left over from the wet sanding process, and it also comes with sealer. If you open the kit, get a bucket of water, take the 1500 grit pad and wet sand the headlights thoroughly, then repeat that same process with the 3000 grit pad, then put the buffing wheel on a drill, shake well and apply the compound to the wheel, smear the compound onto the surface of the headlight, and lightly buff the headlight with the buffing wheel and you will see just how good it comes out. Repeat the buffing if you still have any hazy spots or scratches. When you're all done, wipe the headlight with a microfiber towel and apply the protectant and you're done. The kits are cheap and you can reuse it many times. It works great in my experience.
I love these projects. Most detailers on RUclips are working on pretty well conditioned cars. You hunt down the most trashed, abused, wrecked beaters you can find and bring them back to life. And you do it with very average, inexpensive tools and products. The Sonax Perfect Finish is probably the most high-end product in your arsenal for this project. This is what real detailing is all about. Bravo!
