- Captian Rex Meets Jedi General Pong Krell, who the chancellor has sent to replace Anakin Skywalker on the war torn Umbara campaign, taken straight from the beautifully remastered 4K HDR Clone Wars Upscaled Cut, "The Battle of Umbara Film Cut"
A full 4K HDR (and 1080p) upscale of the entire series, also taking all but 9 episodes and re-cutting them seamlessly into feature films for every single arc. Have a favorite arc? Order 66? The Rako Hardeen Deception Arc? Mortis? The Nightsisters? Yoda's Journey? Maul's Revenge? This project converts the entire TV show into the definitive theatrical experience, perfect for your nice 4K HDR theater setup.
I have also reordered the episodes to fit a (mostly) chronological order based on the entire series official order list. This fixes many, many continuity problems for those who get confused when they watch it in viewing order. There are some minor alterations to the official episode order to make these arcs work as films, but any changes to the official chronological order are small (Putting Maul's Season 4 and 5 arcs into a single epic 3 hour cut, moving the lone episode "A Friend in Need" up a bit in the timeline to fit with the Heroes on Both Sides arc. Making Cad Bane's seasons 1-3 arc into a single supercut). The rest of the alterations follow the official continuity order (2 season 1 and 2 episodes are now part of the extended Clone Wars Theatrical Film Cut due to them being part of the Battle of Christophsis, ect. ect.) and greatly enhance the show's viewing experience.

The way I see it, the more often they argue with krell the more often he stops to lecture them, meaning more rest
Truth 😂
Up until he gets tired of hearing it and kills you for “insubordination”
Those two clones in the gunship are probably the luckiest clones in the 501st
Imagine how Anakin would have reacted if he knew what Krell was planning.
He would be extremely pissed off
He would kill Krell in the second.
yes he would go vader mode on krell and kill him.
Right
RIP Krell
Notice how he said farewell to Anakin with "I wish you well" instead of " May the Force be with you"
I can only imagine how pissed off Anakin must have been after he found out what happened.
Yet another reason for him to hate the Jedi.
I’m surprised the Jedi even let Krell lead the 501st after being heard that his successful missions had a higher casualty rate.
It's the Jedi Council fault for all of this fiasco. First of all, they should stop Krell command any Clone Legion due the high combat loss and stop him of any duty as a General until he change his tactics. The Jedi Council in this era must be the weakest Council in any era because they let the Dark Side clouded their minds and did not sense the darkness within Krell.
@@kolla5415only one that comes close is the Revan’s Era council.
Dumbfucks chose to Exile Meetra instead of hearing out what went down during the war, and try to understand what Revan and Malak were becoming.
@@kolla5415Not sensing Krell is true. But they are not the weakest council. They are on par with any council of the Order.
1:59 that look Fives gives rex is hilarious. They don't know he's a traitor yet and just think he's an uptight Jedi😆🤣🤣🤣
You can tell from this scene that General Krell and Rex will have a great relationship .
Yo professional!!
Marching for 12 hours straight and then being told nah the men don’t need rest when they’re in space Vietnam hahaha like holy shit.
Those clones on the ship back to Coruscant must've been relieved AF that they got to miss out on Umbara.
It's very telling how krell addresses anakin and obi wan by general rather than master showing his department from the order but also showing them respect so he's not found out
Imma be honest, I’m just shocked that general krell can memorize clone numbers. I can barely remember someone’s phone number even if they put it on a napkin
It’s no surprise that the Jedi didn’t sense Krell’s true nature like how they didn’t sense Dooku nor Barriss until it was too late.
And Palpatine as a Sith Lord.
@@PhilipBarron Their clouded minds played a great role in their downfall
@@hayleyyeager8008all because of their arrogance!
Even yoda know what will happen in the future not to mention he could have stop it from happen yet he let that happen
@@faridhaikal6713 Even Mace Windu knew what would happen. “I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi. The Dark Side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor.” He actually tried to stop it from happening by killing Palpatine, but Anakin intervened.
2:57 As much as I loathe Krell, I still remember how wild I went when I first realised he used TWO double-bladed lightsabers! So cool, and I especially love the sound they make.
I dont know if its just his natural color but Krell is introduced already with "Dark Side Eyes". Unintentional foreshadowing maybe.
I am recognizing a pattern. Star wars fans tend to hate the characters who go "by the book". Best examples are krell, tarkin and fox.
We don’t hate him cause he “goes by the book” we hate him cause he’s an asshole
I didn’t think many people disliked Tarkin. Mace Windu, Yoda, Mandalorian, Thrawn, and are “by-the-book” too, but fans love them. I think fans dislike characters who are more abusive with their powers. I will say though, rebelling characters (Han, Anakin, Ahsoka) are more popular and fit the themes of rebellion against oppressive evil in SW.
Cody and Wolffe are by the book characters and nobody hates them, and I could say that with Obi Wan too. It's how they follow the rules, not the fact that they follow them.
Tarking is hated not because he's "by the book". He's hated because he's "I'm gonna steal anything and everything you worked on to take all the fame and credit".
People hate Pong Krell because he is a coward and a liar, what are you talking about?
People like Tarkin because he's truthful about his cruelty and villiany. If he wants you dead, he will make it known from the get go.
I have a bad feeling about this
I stand by my claims that General Krell's lightsabers are prob the coolest ones in the series! I mean it's maul's lightsaber but bigger, make such an amazing sound, there's 2 of them, and they're in jedi colors (green and blue)!!!! I wish we got to see him use them more!
Pong krell is the Steven seagal of Jedi’s
Wow, I just noticed he didn’t even look at Rex until he scolded him for playing with the animals
Have we ever been told _why_ Anakin was to return to Courscant? We know Palpatine wanted him, but what for?
From what I've heard it because palpatine maybe thought umbara was to dangerous and risky for anikan to stay, potentially risking his plans
I think Palpatine wanted to do a test run of Order 66. Pong Krell would have been one of the Jedi most likely to survive Order 66 due to his multiple arms and lightsabers, so he wanted to see if the clones could take him down
Palpatine was worried that the battle of Umbara would result in a loss, while this isn’t an issue for the rest of the war, he wanted to paint Anakin as a war hero with no flaws. He just didn’t want Anakin to be associated with the loss of Umbara.
When the fun teacher is sick and you get a horrible substitute
poor clones and rex they never got a chance to take a 15-minute break because of pong Krell being mean to them
I had a bad feeling about this guy immediately when he started talking down to Rex
First time I saw him I had already known: “oh yeah, this is a bad guy for sure”
Skywalker you have been summoned by master yoda, he says that temple guards are witholding his ketamine.
"DAMNIT, I TOLD THEM TRYING TO REHAB YODA FROM HIS KETAMINE IS HOPELESS!!!!"
"The peak of existence, I have reached."
You think they’d teach younglings about the yellow eye thing. Maybe his species just naturally has yellow eyes but it’s an easy tell for a sith or someone who has fallen to the dark side. Idk it’d be good teaching even though the sith supposedly were destroyed. Anyway Prong Krell is such a sick character wish we got to see more of him also seeing him duel with those lightsabers would be so sick
I think something that is often over looked is how Anakin and Krell address eachother. Anakin calls him master, thereby showing he views himself and Krell as jedi. Krell addresses Anakin as general. He has given himself up to being a soldier instead of a jedi. Not inherently evil, but starting down the path.
Awesome episode
talking to krell is like talking to a brick wall
Да не со стенкой безопаснее
*@MechaSalesman* I have a suggestion, that the next clip we see The Clone Troopers vs Umbarans on the main street of the capital of Umbara.
I really really hate Krell. He and General Patton are dangerous and reckless.
Da fuck is that comparison
@@nam-qc1ehlook up Patton and you'll see
If the rest of the Jedi, like Anaken and Kenobi, neglected strategy and were tacticians, and their tactics consisted of a conventional attack, and if they embarked on strategic planning, then it turned out something like the first and second battle of Geonosis, where during the first battle There were huge losses, and during the second one they almost deprived a huge command cell in the army at once.
Krell is a strategist, although he has the greatest losses, but he is also the most successful general of the Republic. I can say that if the clones had carried out Krell’s orders correctly, there would have been fewer losses. Example: Rex was sent along the road as a vanguard, they stumbled upon an ambush, instead of acting like the vanguard forces to wait for reinforcements at their positions, Rex gives the order to retreat, surrendering advanced positions, giving away the position of the main forces and forcing Krell to rush into battle soldier on the march. Throwing the vanguard forces forward, so as not to expose the main forces, was the best solution on a planet where the Umbarians have all the advantage.
@@chopper3940 thing is people dont like krell because he wasnt nice enough to the clones and eventually betrayed them. Just shows that most clone wars fans are a bunch of babies. I would also be fed up with the jedi way tbh...
@@chopper3940 Doesn't change the fact that he still has the biggest casualties out of all the Generals when it isn't necessary.
Now, I get it. It's War. But Krell could at least learn a thing or 2 from Anakin's strategies, which could reduce casualties to the bare minimum. But he didn't because he saw Clones as nothing more than cannon fodder. That proves why Anakin is more successful than Krell because he wanted to keep his casualties as low as possible while getting any mission done quickly and efficiently.
...This guy really turns me 📴... -_-'
Sorry, but General Pong Krell is an A🤬hole how the way he treats the Clones & acts superior to the Clones instead of working together as a team. If anything, I feel bad for the Clones; Especially, Captain Rex. 😿🙃☠️🔫🤯🙀
I gotta re-watch this episode again as I start over to binge watch the whole series again.
So he works as a team, he is a strategist.

The military is not there to give you a nice time. Rex has to respect authority. Good soldiers follow orders. A soldier who doesnt is useless.
@@miniaturejayhawk8702 I love you.
Yall say this like krell didnt try to kill them all
Who knew that this episode would start what I consider to be one of the best story arcs in the entire clone war series. That and Ashokas departure from the Jedi Order.
Krell is one of those people who has fate senate, republic, and the Jedi council; that’s why he wasn’t fair to the clones.
What
@@nickmiller9910 Think he meant to say his knowledge of Order 66 and the rise of the empire is why he hates the clones.
@@Aeterny well krell had no knowledge of order 66 or the empire
@@nickmiller9910 It says so on his Wookieepedia page that he fell to the dark side and had a premonition of the two events, all he could think about was his self-preservation instead of attempting to warn the council.
@@Aeterny No his hatred towards clones was there from the very beginning since in the novel A Queens Hope he makes a derogatory face when yoda says to treat the clones like men
I would love a General Krell back story, in comics, novel or cartoon ! lol
He has been mentioned several times in Novels. He hasn't appeared though.
Dave Fennoys voice >
He’d be better at dealing with walkers and a little girl 😂😂
Live action Krell would be something else…😮
Why palpatine order anakin back?
I liked this arc but then they had to make krell evil or something, ruining the whole setups of him being a stern leader that doesnt like clones.
Rex and the 501st were justifyied in the mutiny making the arc really onesided.
