Dear Iris,i really enjoy watching your calm and cosy videos when i have time and it is always such a wonderful time for me. I start the day watching a new video from you, enjoying my first cup of coffee and i feel some kind of comfort. It may be just the calmness in your video....thank you sooo much 😊🧡🍁🦔🐿.
For any time, Bread is life. Your bread is really beautiful. Loved the countryside I saw , beginning the video. As always, you bring me in a sweet world. Thanks a lot dear Iris. 🧡
Thank you so much for your nice comment! Unfortunately, it hasn't been easy for me to visit nature as much as I would love to lately so I was happy to share this pretty scenery! Have a lovely week, dear! 💕
Kedves Íris, nagyon örülök a videódnak! Én is éppen tegnap sütöttem kenyeret. Jó, hogy láttam, hogy lefagyadztoid a megkelt tésztát, én is megpróbálom legközelebb. Örömmel látom, hogy bővül a családotok, jó egészséget, sok boldogságot kívánok nektek. Szeretettel üdvözöllek Éva
Oh, that's lovely Elmiri! It seems that your mom's blessed hands were always creative! 😊 I'm also happy to see my kids being curious to see what is baked in the kitchen! 💕
Sweet Iris. I am so sorry I am late to this video. Your bread looks amazing. Your family is so blessed that you take care of them in such a beautiful wholesome way. I miss seeing the Greek country side. Thank you for sharing the beautiful views with us. Such a sweet and calming video. Thank you sweetie.
Hello Angie! You obviously don't need to apologize. 🥰 Thank you for your kind comment, I am happy that you enjoyed the greek countryside. I hope you are doing great! Much love, dear! 💕
This reminds me so much of my mother. She made bread on the weekends to last the whole week. The smell was glorious. It skipped a generation. I don’t bake at all. But my daughter does. She always gives us some so that makes me happy. The crust of the bread is the best 💙
Same with us. My mum bakes only prosforo, which is bread for the church. I used to watch my grandmother bake bread very often and I still remember the beautiful smell. It's lovely that your daughter bakes and shares it with you! 🥰
Hello again, dear Iris. It's wonderful visiting you every week watching you busying about, or just plain relaxing. Bread making is a big thing in my home, so watching this video on your making bread in this unique way will be so helpful to me. We always make sourdough in addition to ordinary yeast-risen loaves for everyday use. I will take note of your recipe and try it. It looks so yummy! You are such a blessing to all of us. Much love, peace and blessing to you, ~Wendi 💝 🌻
Thank you so much, sweet Wendi! Our family loves both recipes so I hope you like them too. If you have any tips to share by the way, please let me know. I am always happy to learn more about baking. Many many blessings to your lovely family, dear! 🤗
@@quaintlittlehome Thank you so much for your lovely reply! 😃 I learnt bread-making from a big fat book by Elizabeth David. YT's anti-spamming prevents me from naming the book. 😒 But you will know it by sight as there are many 2nd hand versions. David does recipes of many types of bread. Hope this helps
Your bread looks delicious. My husband is the bread baker in our family. He bakes for us and for our son's family every week. He also makes waffles for our grandchildren. Congratulations, by the way, Iris! 💗
I would love to order one of each loaf dear Iris, where can I sign up? 😉❤️ Oh, this looks absolutely delicious, and I can't imagine how good it must smell in your kitchen on such a "baking day". There is just something special about fresh, homemade bread, right? Have a lovely day 🤗
Haha! I wish you I could send you some to have with a cup of tea! 😊I totally agree! Homemade, freshly baked bread is always delicious and my kids sometimes eat it all within a day! I really enjoy that time in my kitchen too! You too have a lovely day, dear! 💕
An enjoyable watch. Your natural leaven looked rather inactive. Is it going past it's best in the night? Mine only needs 4-5 hours after a feed to be at it's peak. I don't need to add instant yeast. Thanks for the great video. It's always nice to see how others bake.
Thank you! You mean whether it is overfermented? I don't think so. It takes 4-5 hours only during Summer when the weather is very hot and when I use it daily. At this period, I only use it once a week, store it in the fridge and the house is colder. I think that might be the reason. If you do have any tips, though, please let me know!
@@quaintlittlehome Mine comes to ripeness after being in the fridge after 4-5 hours too. You bake very nicely. My tips would be of little value to you. You have your own wild style not measuring and knowing by feel. A sign of a very experienced baker. I write articles on advanced home baking. Which are all based on Bakers percentage and accurate measuring for repeatability across many different recipes and styles of bread. I could send you the article on natural leaven management, but I doubt you need it. It was such a pleasure watching your bake. Be well.

That was lovely, thank you Iris. The bread looks so yummy. I grew up with my mom always baking fresh bread. She used a potato sourdough starter. X
