When listening to people like Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Christopher Nolan, Heath Ledger wasn’t in character all the time. He’d talk about things like his daughter and other things he enjoyed with those he was working with whenever there was some down time when they weren’t rolling. But since he passed away so suddenly and was really talented and people had many questions about his passing and why it happened, the idea that the role of the Joker was responsible is one that’s intriguing, though not at all true. Having insomnia like he did for a good portion of his life and also fighting pneumonia while having to take medication for his illness and medication for sleep at he end of his life, it’s not hard to see why he passed away. Also the breakup with Michelle Williams likely didn’t help any when people talk about him being not like himself. He said the Joker was the most fun he ever had on a film, so he wasn’t so dark and menacing as we are lead to believe by the media. If there was a change in his behavior like him being a bit more withdrawn and/or seeming a bit more sad, his breakup and drug use likely had a hand in it. It’s a shame we won’t get to see Heath Ledger in a new film nor see a feature film he would direct as he planned to direct two films, one he would star in and another he would just direct. I’m sure he would have been an excellent actor turned director like Clint Eastwood and Ben Affleck. It’s unfortunate for all of us, especially his friends and family, that he left us too soon. Great video man, very respectful.
Well stated and observed Jared.
Agreeable as well.
I dislike the senseless mythologizing certain elements within society and the media resort to in order to lend an air of mystique to persons within the spotlight.
Ledger was a good actor and I loved his joker role. But at the end of the day he was also a fairly REASONABLE soul and as you said, simply succumbed to his addictions and compromised health.
The nightmares he had involving his role makes sense to the extent that it was simply what was immediately in his subconscious mind at the moment because he was thinking about it alot and stressed about doing well with the role.
The subconscious mind tends to converse with areas of consciousness about immediate thoughts/feelings/and impressions affecting it.
Had he been filming something else during those moments, I think it's quite probable his dream content would've involved THAT particular character.
It's refreshing to read the insights of an objective, reasonable observer who does not romanticize the tragedies and misfortunes of life to meet the demands of Popular Expectation.
Bravo .
He was never “suddenly talented” after he passed he was always talented you insufferable asshole
@@jeremyhennessee6604thank you very much!
why is this voice putting me to sleep.
Heaths joker will never be played better because he was really desending into very scary places ...his death and story really hit me hard...
Heath Ledger is the best Joker.
Heath ledger best joker ever .
This guy's voice man, it's super eerie...
It's calming yet chilling.😬
Sometimes when you "act" is truly being yourself. Maybe the normal person people see is the Acting, and when you "act" your being yourself. Its hard to explain maybe, but maybe he got a taste of who he really was and it was hard to deal with. Its maybe perspective.? whatever im nobody.
👍
At 0:26 I just realized that if he was still alive he could play Steve Irwin in a bio pic.
Sleeping pills are only effective if taken as needed once in a while, as soon as it becomes a habit the body will not know what to do without it causing insomnia. Same goes with pretty much all drugs and alcohol especially.
If you have never been through depression or anxiety don’t judge just because someone has money you don’t know what some has been through and is going through
Drugs are dangerous
THE GUY HAD A GIFT, AND WAS SUPER TALENTED. HE IS STILL MISSED. ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS COOL THAT JOHNNY DEPP, COLIN FARRELL AND JUDE LAW STEPPED IN THE HELP FINISH HEATH’S LAST FILM. PLUS GIVING THEIR WAGES FROM THE FILM TO HIS DAUGHTER, MATILDA.
Sorry. As soon as I heard you suggest his role as the Joker had something or anything to do with his death I stopped watching.
Heath was NOT stuck in an abyss or suffering from depression that he couldn’t shake. He was so excited about his role and how he shaped his role as the Joker. As a lot of actors do, he was focused and dedicated in portraying the Joker. And that’s where it ends. It had nothing to do with his death.
He was filming another movie and got pneumonia. He was given meds. Then he flew home to Perth to spend Christmas with his family. While he was there he was seen by another doctor who prescribed him more medication. On top of that he was given some strong meds for pain .. he couldn’t sleep. He had insomnia for years. This person told him the med she gave him would definitely help him sleep.
So that’s meds from 3 different sources, none knowing about anything else he was prescribed or taking. He passed away from an accidental combination of prescribed medications .. and one that was not prescribed., and all mixed at once, had deadly consequences.
He was sad about his split with Michelle and not being able to see his daughter. Other than that he was super excited about his future.
NOTHING about his role as the Joker had anything to do with his death.
Heath is deeply missed. I can't imagine how big of a star he'd be right now. What makes me sad is he couldn't separate his character from himself. Heartbreaking 🕊️❤️🙏
Brilliant, well done sir.
Thanks friend 👍
@@messymessagesI heard a lot of actors died and I am a type of person for remembering famous celebrities their births and their deaths
The hospital explosion scene was actually a screw up that made it even better on screen. When he kept pushing the button, the explosions weren't going off, and when they finally did, it freaked him out a bit. He scurried onto the bus all funny. The making of The Dark Knight showed it. Amazing character, amazing actor. So many talented people have addiction issues.
Wow, you did such a nice job on this one
Thanks friend👍
@@messymessagesgod bless you and your family
I will always miss Heath . We love you dear Angel.
You do a great job with these.
Thank you friend 👍
the disease of addiction is too common among our creative artistic brothers and sisters
Rip buddy 🙏🤡

How ironic. Two actors playing the same role and BOTH WINNING OSCARS!! Joaquin for JOKER and Heath for The Dark Knight. RIP Heath
Whats the irony in that?
@@tomwilliam9810Maybe because it never happened before?
@@tomwilliam9810Most don’t understand the definition of irony.

The answer is no insomnia seems to come out of nowhere. It has nothing to do with performance
IT’s usually related to opioid abuse
Newbie SuB. Love the delivery & quality orators voice.
Beautiful tribute. Thanks. Gustaf
Nicely put together.

Thanks friend 👍👍
Thank you!!🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘🍻🍻
He kinda sounds like Chris Chan
Picked up the methpipe again, huh.
I think Heath could have played singer James Taylor in a movie about his marriage to Carly Simon played by Kate Hudson.
Ledger died "as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine". It added: "We have concluded that the manner of death is accident[al], resulting from the abuse of prescribed medications."
People die of overdoses everyday. Just because he was a handsome actor dpesn't mean you people should mourn and idolize his selfish substance abuse problem.
Save your empathy/sympathy for someone who actually may deserve it.
Fashie ruble-rustlers like yourself shouldn't try to talk about empathy, feelings, or relationships.
They're alien concepts to you, so it feels forced and less than genuine.
Stick to the things you know; like being a virgin at 40, or collecting rubles.

This isn't idolizing it
